*spoiler free review* I was lucky enough to get my hands on a copy of this book prior to its release (thank you thank you thank you). So, I rarely rate 5⭐️ and it takes a lot for me to rate that, but wow. The execution, story telling and character development was amazing throughout! I felt like I had stepped into another world. It was the perfect blend of science fiction and historical fiction (some of my fave genres) and I didn’t want to put the book down. In fact I read slower than usual because I didn’t want to finish it… safe to say I have a book hangover now and I NEED more
Loved Time Custodian: Inheritance! It’s a perfect time-travelling novel that answers all the questions it raises in terms of world building, and then ups the stakes by asking more questions that challenge our understanding of time, history, the importance of family and the temptation of having power to change history. In addition to the excellent scenes set in historical battle grounds, rallies and tragedies, I was drawn to the protagonist, Lucy Calder, and the difficult choices she must make. Looking forward to see what she does and where she goes next!
Amazing read! - I love the fact that it mixes the fantasy world with real historical events so precisely, this is a well thought out story with twists and turns which kept me guessing throughout! Every time I put it down I would be thinking about what would happen next!
I could see this developing very nicely and I cant wait to read more! - The only honest negative that I can say is that we will have to wait for the release of the next one which I can assume will not be for a while as this one has only just been released!
I had the opportunity to read an advance copy of The Time Custodian and have to say really enjoyed everything about it. I connected instantly with the characters and was transported to historical events that were so amazingly descriptive I felt I was there. For me it was a page turner and each chapter made me want to go straight on to the next. Thoroughly good read and I would definitely recommend it.
I read an advance copy of this book which I enjoyed. I found the storyline and characters really interesting. Totally different concept to other time travel stories. This book wasn’t what I expected it to be and the build up in the story kept you wanting to carry on reading to see where it then takes you. The way the author describes situations and timelines makes you feel like you are there with them not just as a reader but in the story itself. I found it easy to read and very enjoyable.
A great read a great read,it keeps you hooked with twists and turns and if you could go back in time and change things would you? That’s a great read and I’m looking forward to read his second book
I was lucky enough to get a pre -read of this book which I really enjoyed. Being able to go back in time is something many of us would like to do. Choosing what to see and when to go back to is the real challenge! This book allowed me to explore the thought of "If we could change history would we and should we?" If someone else wanted to make changes and right terrible historical wrongs, should they be allowed to do so? The book gives fantastically evocative narrative of some major events in history. The characters witness both the big moments and the small details in vivid descriptions that make you feel like you are there with them and being dragged along for the ride. The book explores changes to timelines in a logical manner and the history is clearly extremely well researched. The story flows at a good tempo and I found it hard to put down. Strongly recommended.
