“Easy Quantum Physics for Beginners” is an interesting read, and gives a (very) lightweight overview of quantum physics. However, in my humble opinion, the author is too eager to make the revelations of quantum physics fit with esoteric concepts. His statement that emotions and ideas all have their “frequencies” is shortsighted. Of course you can measure brain activity, but this is just a glimpse into how our biology works, and it does not at all explain what the essence of an idea is. I wonder how he would he explain collective consciousness… So, the book is a good starter for in depth discussions, but it makes too many statements that are not scientifically proven with the obvious goal of satisfying an esoteric agenda. At least he should mention that there is no proof yet for most of his conclusions that he takes for granted, and he should mark his words as what they are: speculative. And (only) in that quality they are legit.
So it’s a bit of a mixed bag and i didnt think much of this book to be honest.
The science part is ok’ish i guess but dive too deep into the Quantum theories as much as I’d like it to be, but more like a bait-and-switch. So it would start about various things in physics but simplifying it so it won’t be too complex (which is good) but then it flips into the woo-woo part of healing, crystals, and energy, which makes me roll my eyes. So in a way, this is more like a new age book dressed up as physics to make it look more solid.
I liked how this breaks down complex ideas without making you feel lost or overwhelmed. It keeps things simple while still making you think, especially when connecting physics to everyday perspective. It is not heavy or overly technical, which makes it a good entry point for beginners. It kept me interested instead of feeling lost.
Loved the book. It really proves the quantum world really is fascinating, and what we think we know is just the tip of the iceberg. I honestly believe we have no idea what happens at the smallest of scales in our amazing universe and this book is a great read related to this topic. Really enjoyed it.
I've made many attempts to understand quantum physics, each time getting no further than being in awe of something I couldn't understand. Then along came this book and at last I have gained real understanding.
