Sloane Jenkins is about to write the story that will make or break her career. It’s not the assignment she was given, but it’s the one she knows will earn her a coveted spot at Boston’s biggest magazine. She’s chasing the story that’s never been told: the truth about Elite Wrestling Entertainment and its mysterious owner, Amos Rafferty. There’s just one problem: she has no idea how to get it.
Wolf Bennett is known for his charm, humor, and being the fifth wheel of the friend group. After his divorce from fellow wrestler Harper Valentine, he has struggled to get back into the dating game…until he met Sloane. The problem? She isn’t interested, but that doesn’t stop him from thinking about her for the next year.
When they cross paths again, they decide to take advantage of this serendipitous moment. Wolf wants to give it a real chance and prove to her there’s more to him than wrestling, but Sloane decides to use their unfinished history to get close, dig deep, and get her story.
Soon locker-room secrets, long nights on the road, and undeniable chemistry make it hard to tell where the story ends, and the real feelings begin.
Book #2 of the Elite Wrestling Entertainment series.
Jensen Parker writes contemporary romances filled with angst, passion, and a happily ever after! With a passion for storytelling that blends heart and grit, Jensen crafts romance novels that dive into the complex relationships of everyday life and love. She studied English at Loyola University Chicago and Harvard University in Boston. When she's not writing, you'll find her spending time with her family, cooking, or planning the next vacation.
Sloane was written perfectly. The non-wrestling believer, not understanding the preface, but with the perfect transition into becoming a fan.
Wolf is this closed off wrestler, but open to his most inner circle. But finding Sloane, choosing her in the crowd and reuniting later in life. watching him slowly let her in.
Thank you to the author and luna lit for the opportunity to read this book early.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this book, as of right now. Sure, I wish our FMC would actually be open and honest but, not the point.
I'm DNFing this book because I just finished a book with the exact same premise but in a different setting, and I don't think I'd be doing this book fairly if I continued to read it right now. I'm going to set it down and get back to it later.
This books is very choppy to me. The characters and plot feel kind of all over the place and I hate to say it, but there are TOO MANY characters. The list at the front of the book is nice, but not helpful in distinguishing who is who and how they know each other. I think there’s two married couples, but I honestly could not keep them straight. I think it would have been less confusing if Wolfe was only friends with Rae and Brody and Savannah and Brooks. were not in the story. One other suggestion might be to make Brody and Brooks names more different because they kind of just blended into the same character.
I also found the plot to be a little confusing and not hook me in. The book starts with Wolf picking Sloane out of the crowd at a wrestling match. He sees her not standing and not engaging with the wrestling and is immediately into her and they spend hours after the match on the first date. The thing that doesn’t make sense to me is that these two people spent HOURS on a date but then never kissed or exchanged numbers? It’s just weird and doesn’t make sense, especially if they’ve both been pining for a year — you’d think Sloane would DM this guy on insta or something.
Along with their incredibly weird meet cute, there is the subplot of Sloane being a reporter with a secret mission. She wants to know the truth about the wrestling organization and the Vince McMann figure at the head of it. Her reasoning for getting back into Wolf’s life, after they run into each other in a different state a year later, is to get the story. I think there was a big chance for angst and tension in this plot point, but it never hit.
Sloane also doesn’t really respect Wolf or what he does. She time and time again tells him how stupid his job is and how silly she thinks it is and I don’t think that’s really fair to him. The way she talks to him sometimes comes off as condescending and not at all different than his ex, who we are supposed to see as a villain. The way Sloane communicates with the people around her really gives off mean girl energy and I don’t love it.
My other major issue with this book is the flashbacks. The way they are written is very confusing. They often happen in the middle of a paragraph and it takes me a minute to realize we are not in the present. Since this book uses dates in the chapter titles, separating out the flashbacks to their first date into their own separate chapter might work better.
I think this book had a lot of potential and just didn’t hook me in. I never felt fully connected to the characters or the overarching plot. It definitely reads as a love letter to wrestling so I can definitely see someone who loves wrestling loving this book. Overall, just wasn’t for me but definitely lands with the right type of person.
Sloane Jenkins is given the task of following an assignment revolving around the EWE. She has a dislike for wrestling and the see's it as fake, not understanding the enjoyment of it all as well. She struggles to gain information on the company then ends up running into someone from her past that she didn't think she'd ever see again. His name, Wolf Bennett, professional wrestler for the EWE whom Sloane went on a date with a year prior and hadn't heard from since. Deciding, in order to get the information she needs for her article, she decides to date him. Along the way, she sees how much actually goes into the wrestling industry and develops a new love for the sport and a love for the man she thought she would never see again.
This is the second book for the Elite Wrestling Entertainment series, I will from now on always recommend it to friends and readers alike who enjoy wrestling centered books with the inclusion of romance and the touch of vivid action that follows sport scenes. I feel like I jumped back into an alternative life where I was reunited with long time friends. The writing for matches was well done, it really felt like immersing myself back into seeing a live event. It gave so much more excitement to reading the book. Thank you Jensen, for the opportunity to read the book early. I have fallen in love with this book universe, and getting the opportunity to see characters that we previously followed in the first book. I love the aspect of the book and the inspiration that it had taken from "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days". That was such a treat for me because of it being a movie I would watch religiously as a pre-teen/teen. Some moments in the book had hard transitions but i found it to be fine sometimes we don't need to fully follow every single moment within a book you know? I enjoyed the moment of random reunion at the pizza place with Sloane and her friends meeting Wolf and his friends for the first time. Maybe it is just my southern heart but I found it so sweet that he (Wolf) invited Sloane and friends to the James Jubilee.
The storyline between Sloane and Wolf was so well written, being a fan of wrestling there is something so enjoyable about seeing the wrestling bits but also getting relatability to their developing relationship that happens outside of what takes place within the ring. I related a little too much to how the two of them said "I love you" so quickly. Some people at times just know when they've found their person.
Thank you again to Jensen for allowing me to receive and review an early arc copy of Honor Bound, can not wait for more to come!

I received an ARC copy to read from the author, Jensen Parker. THANK YOU!
My rating is a 3.5. I enjoyed Sloane and Wolf’s story overall and liked the How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days inspiration. My rating for Heartbreaker (book #1) was 4.5 and is still my favorite so far.
There were a couple spots it seemed like the story transitioned strangely and it felt like I missed something. I went back and reread those parts and I hadn’t missed anything. It just had a hard transition that felt like it came out of nowhere.
Other things that didn’t make sense to me / left me wondering why more wasn’t told / or I just had trouble believing (I know, it’s a fictional story though also :). )
1. Sloane is at a wrestling match and Wolf looked at her/picked her out of the audience and asked her out midmatch. I have trouble seeing that happening while in the zone and “in character” (BUT real life example - Tyler Glasnow, MLB pitcher, however he was injured and sitting in the dugout & not playing in the middle of a game). I’m not saying that it is impossible but after his heartbreak with Harper I don’t feel it is likely. It’s also weird they never exchanged numbers after their first date and coincidentally run into each other again a year later in a different state - across the country even.
2. The fact Sloane & Wolf spend time and many nights together and don’t have sex but say I love you in 2 weeks time. He didn’t kiss her or get her # after their first date but then they love each already. I know when you know, you know. But 2 weeks is crazy when you think of the big picture (examples: marriage to Harper - cheated on him - divorced. Suspicious of Sloane and her job and what she’s really writing about but he loves her).
3. It would’ve been nice for the full story on Trisha since that was mentioned too. Sloane asked what happened to her and Lexi said, “I’ll let my brother tell you that.”
Take away - I’m glad I read and love the overall story. I personally just felt like there were holes in some parts. I don’t think they took away from the story but they did leave me feeling like something little was missing. It’s neat to see a wrestling romance out there and the “behind the scenes” perspective of it. I would read it again and will always read any and all by Jensen Parker. I look forward to more!

"All is fair in love and war, Honey." That quote says it all. This book is war from beginning to end... but not in the way you might think. Sloane and Wolf (Bennett) are at war in so many ways... with themselves, each other, their past trauma, their friends. Yet somehow, love finds a way to win. Sloane and Wolf were a slow burn from the start, and that made seeing their love win even sweeter. They didn't start out on the best foot... she was a skeptic of the wrestling world and he was an star in the EWE. A chance meeting a year after a dinner date that left them both wanting more leads to a whirlwind romance. But they are both hiding. Sloane is hiding her true identity and her need to write the story of her career. Wolf is hiding behind his pain from his failed marriage. But little by little, they both let down their walls and their explosive chemistry just leaps off the pages at you. Unfortunately, Sloane's secrets threaten to tear them apart for good. Through some very honest and real communication, they are able to find their way back to each other and to their happily ever after.
I could not put this book down. In fact, i read it twice before doing this review because I didn't want to let it go. Jensen has this magical way of drawing you in with just the right balance of plot and spice. When she brings her real world experience in the wrestling world to the pages of this book... you don't need a TV to watch it. She describes the technical wrestling scenes so well that they play in your head like you are watching them on a TV screen. I'm not normally a fan of a slow burn... but this one was absolutely worth it. Throw in some "oh s**t" moments that she sprinkles in the story line like fairy dust and you definitely will want to keep coming back for more. I'm so thankful for the opportunity to get the ARC for this book... because after reading Heart Breaker, I knew I needed more of this series. I'm looking forward to seeing what path the upcoming books take. Thank you Jensen for body slamming my reader brain to the mat in all the best ways 😀

I rated Honor Bound 4 out of 5 stars. The story follows professional wrestlers navigating their careers, relationships, and personal struggles, blending the intensity of the wrestling world with romance and behind-the-scenes drama.
Overall, I really enjoyed the story and found it engaging from start to finish.
That said, the pacing felt a bit slow at times, and there were quite a few characters to keep track of. I found myself feeling a little overwhelmed trying to follow everyone, and some characters. Rae, Brody, Savannah, and Brooks,didn’t seem to add much to the overall plot. At times, their presence felt more distracting than impactful. I think the story might have been stronger if it had focused on just one central couple instead of splitting attention between two.
I did really enjoy Wolf and Sloan’s storyline. Sloan, in particular, was a well-written character, especially as someone who wasn’t a big fan of wrestling. That perspective added a nice contrast to the rest of the story and made her feel more grounded and relatable. Their romance was one of my favorite parts of the book. The only aspect that didn’t quite work for me was how quickly they moved to saying “I love you.” Considering they spent multiple nights together without taking that next step physically, the emotional jump felt a little too fast and slightly out of sync with the pacing of their relationship.
One of the biggest highlights for me was the writing itself. The match scenes were incredibly well done. Scenes were so detailed and immersive that it genuinely felt like being ringside at a real life WWE event. Those moments really stood out and added a lot of excitement to the book.
Overall, while I had a few issues with pacing and character overload, I still really enjoyed Honor Bound and would definitely recommend it, especially for readers who enjoy wrestling-centered stories with vivid, action-packed scenes as well as romance

Jensen is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! I am, in no way, not even the least bit knowledgeable about the world of wrestling and, like Sloane, I always perceived it as being fake and scripted. However, while reading this, I found myself completely immersed in this world, and have developed a new viewpoint on this whole world of entertainment. This story reads like a 2000s romcom in certain aspects and, as someone who absolutely adored those types of movies growing up, this was right up my alley and I enjoyed every second of it! Jensen paid so many tributes to "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days" that I caught onto right away, while also creating such a special plot and romance between Sloane and Wolf.
Sloane is our FMC who is trying to work on a stiry assigned to her that is focused around EWE. However, the downside is that Sloane cannot stand wrestling. She sees it all as fake and doesn't understand how anyone could enjoy it. She is struggling to get any information on this company when she runs into a ghost from her past, Wolf Bennett, a professional wrestler with the EWE, and the man she went on a date with last year, but hasn't heard from since. She basically pulls an Andi from How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, and decides to date him in order to get the lead she needed. However, along the way, she discovers just how much goes on within this industry and develops not only a whole new love and respect for the sport, but also for the man she never thought she would be with.

Book Review – Honor Bound by Jensen Parker Pub Date: 30 April 2026 Honor Bound had a really strong premise and plenty of potential, but for me, it landed somewhere in the middle. The world of Elite Wrestling Entertainment is definitely one of the book’s strengths. The behind-the-scenes glimpses into the wrestling industry, the travel, the locker-room dynamics—it all added an interesting layer that kept me engaged. It felt fresh and gave the story a solid backdrop to build on. Wolf as a character was easy to like. He’s charming, persistent, and carries a softness beneath the surface that makes you want to root for him. His feelings felt genuine, and I appreciated the effort to show more depth beyond the typical “confident male lead.” Sloane, however, was a bit harder to connect with. Her motivations made sense on paper, but at times her actions felt inconsistent, which made it difficult to fully invest in the romance. Because of that, the emotional payoff didn’t hit as strongly as I’d hoped. The chemistry between them is there, but it feels slightly uneven—strong in moments, then fading when it needed to build. The “journalist with a hidden agenda” trope had great potential for tension, but it didn’t quite deliver the impact it could have. Overall, this is a decent, easy read with an interesting setting and a likeable male lead, but it didn’t fully hook me emotionally. I can see others enjoying it—especially if you like wrestling settings and lighter romance—but it just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. Rating: 3/5
Honor Bound is the first novel I've read that revolved around the sport of wrestling, and was a really fun peek behind the scenes of the professional wrestling world. The story revolves around Bennett James, aka Wolf, a professional wrestler, and Sloane, a journalist who is looking for a big story to propel her into the next stage of her career. The two share one date, and then lose touch ... until they literally collide with each other one year later.
As someone who has never watched professional wrestling, and has called it "fake" myself a time or two, I really enjoyed learning more about the athleticism it involves and story telling that goes on. I also really loved Bennett too; he comes across as a sweet and genuine guy, despite his in-ring persona.
Sloane, however, was not the most likable character. I really needed to know more about her and her backstory to understand her better. I couldn't relate to her, and it's hard to root for a character when they're hiding their true motivations.
This was a solid 3 star read for me. Although I didn't feel the deep connection with the characters, I still enjoyed this story and read it one sitting. A series surrounding wrestling is such a great concept and has tons of potential. I will definitely read more from this author!
Thank you to Jensen Parker, Victory Editing and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this ARC. All opinions above are my own!
Absolutely OBSESSED with the EWE universe! In this one, EWE’s biggest golden retriever boy, Wolf Bennett, runs into a woman from his past who’s not quite telling the whole truth about why she’s back in his life.
Sloane Jenkins is a journalist and a certified hot mess. Can’t decide what she wants, struggling between the career break that’ll get her everything wants and the fact that she mighttttt be falling for a wrestler, a “sport” she hates more than anything.
Sloane and Bennett’s chemistry is instant and deepens quickly, the relationship turning serious faster than Sloane expects, which derails her original plan to become an insider in EWE and expose the dark underbelly of the business at Bennett’s expense.
I had so much fun reading this one. The perfect blend of anxiety at Sloane being found out to the feet-kicking, hair twirling at her and Bennett’s quickly developing relationship. And of course, I love all the other characters of this universe—can’t wait to see who’s gonna be the next focus of the series—and was so happy to visit with them again in this installment.
If you want some wrestling, some romance, and a whole lotta mess, this one if for you!!
This year, I am focusing on exploring more indie authors, particularly those from the Midwest. Jensen Parker has completely changed how I see wrestling! As someone who has never been interested in the sport, I was very surprised to find myself enjoying the first book in the Elite Wrestling Entertainment Series, Heart Breaker, more than I expected. The second book, Honor Bound, which can be read on its own, impressed me even more, and I loved it! Sports romances are increasingly popular now, so I highly recommend this one. It includes common tropes like an age gap, a hidden identity, the guy falling first, and is inspired by the movie How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Overall, I really enjoyed it; despite its length, I finished it in just two days. Also, the book's curated playlist is absolutely fantastic!
Favorite Line: “We can choose to burn down every establishment until we’re left with nothing, only for another one to come in its place that requires us to do the same shit all over again, or we can hope that the new generation makes better decisions than their predecessors along the way.”
just finished Honor Bound and I’m already impatiently waiting for whatever comes next!
This really hit that sweet spot for me—it has all the elements I love in a sporty romance, but with a more grounded, realistic edge that made everything feel more believable and engaging. Sloane’s relationships with her friends felt so familiar- both in this unwavering support but also in their ability to hold each other accountable when they make choices the others disagree with. The overall vibe of the story just worked and pulled me in without feeling over-the-top, which is rare. I know a minimal amount about the world of professional wrestling, and was able to enjoy the story while also learning more along the way! The How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days references?? Completely random and yet absolutely essential in the best way. If I had one complaint, it’s that now I have to wait for another installment because I’m not done with these characters yet. I can’t wait to see what this world holds for us next! Highly recommend if you like stories that balance tension, realism, and just enough humor to keep things fun.
This series consists of interconnected standalones but should be read in order.
🆃🆁🅾🅿🅴🆂 🖤 Wrestling Romance 🫦 Lies and Secrets 🖤 Tattooed MMC 🫦 They Keep Getting Interrupted 🖤 Age Gap 🫦 Slow Burn
Honor Bound is told in a dual POV by our MCs Wolf/Bennett and Sloane. We originally met Wolf in book one and I was so excited to see him get his own.story especially after his relationship with Harper. I love his character both in and out of the ring.
Sloane and Wolf originally met a year ago and went on one date, but it did not go anywhere as Wolf is a professional wrestling and Sloane was a skeptic, byt they definitelyhad chemistry. A year later they randomly run into each other and this time Wolf is determined to not let her get away. Sloane's secrets almost ruin them before they truly get started.
Wolf is definitely relationship goals. He is so sweet and even cooks and keeps a clean house. I had to chuckle though every time these two got interrupted but at the same time it just added to the yearning!
I finally powered through last night and my verdict is...
...it was okay.
Let me state that I LOVE Jensen Parker & her writing. Heartbreaker and Winter's Kiss were some of my favorite reads of 2025. I devoured them. I literally could not put them down.
Then there's Honor Bound. It felt like something was missing. It was cute, romantic, funny at times, and overall enjoyable. But it was missing that thing that keeps you ensnared. That keeps you sucked in to the finish line. Andddd that's what had me dragging my feet to finish it.
I do have to add that it found me in the middle of a reading slump. There were a few books during these past few weeks that I've picked up and put down, with no motivation to read any of them.
All-in-all, I still enjoyed it. I still powered through, wanting to complete it somewhat around release time. I think sports romance readers will enjoy it and that it'll find it's niche corner of the book world!
Thank you Jensen Parker and team for allowing me to access an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I don’t know, this book didn’t really make sense to me. Wolf pulls Sloane out of a whole crowd and is instantly enamored by her? He thinks about her all the time and then they just so happen to run into each other in another state across the country? It’s a little weird.
I didn’t feel the chemistry. It was very flat in that regard. I also think it’s weird that he didn’t give her a goodnight kiss on their first date but then during their third interaction he drops to his knees for her at his parents Fourth of July party…it doesn’t add up.
Also, Sloane randomly decides to visit her best friend for the weekend without telling her…when it’s all the way across the country. Who just randomly hops in a plane from MA to AZ with no notice?
I know there is a character list at the start of the book, but there were too many characters.
This one was choppy and not for me.
* An ARC was received in exchange for an honest review.
What a perfect book to read during wrestlemania week. Jensen Parker outdid herself with this one. I have to say I enjoyed it much more than the first one. Any wrestling fans dream is to be spotted by her favorite wrestler and asked out on a date!!! I was literally going why can’t this be me?! I enjoyed Sloan and wolf’s story. Sloane did irritate the hell out of me though. I wish she would’ve just come clean with him from the start about her story and stop saying she was only with him for the story, instead of being with him for him. I absolutely adored how wolf’s family and friends welcomed her with open arms. And Amos, what a genuine character.
I just have to reiterate again how much detail goes into these books. Especially the live broadcast ones. It’s really as if you were there. Being a wrestling fan helps, but if you weren’t you really get a good understanding, and who knows you might become a fan yourself
Thank you NetGalley and Jensen Parker for the arc!
I really wanted to enjoy this book, but it didn’t feel like a love letter to wrestling fans like me. Instead, it seemed more like an attempt to persuade people to watch or understand wrestling by using the lure of sex. I think it would work better as series for those curious about or loosely connected to wrestling. In fact, it’s perfect for romance readers who have a wrestling fan as a partner. As for romance itself—there’s an insta-love vibe and a plot involving one character deceiving another. These elements are fine, but the execution felt lacking. Maybe it was missing chemistry, or perhaps the sense of yearning during their time apart. Whatever it was, it didn’t ruin the enjoyment, but it did make the book feel just solid rather than exceptional. Since this is part of a series, I hope future installments focus less on introducing the world and more on developing the characters and their romantic journey.
As a life-long wrestling fan I figured I’d either enjoy this or absolutely hate it with no in between. Somehow I fell in that in between. It had a lot of potential but there were simply too many side characters. I couldn’t keep track of who they were & their personalities began to blend together.
The meet cute was weird and unrealistic. It’s not even like he was cutting a promo. He was literally MID MATCH and is trying to have a convo with her?
Sloane’s character was spot on for non-wrestling fans who act like they’re above wrestling. She acted pretentious and rude about everything wrestling related. She was honestly so hateful and rude to Wolf. She came off as the villain most of the time. Thinks she is better than everyone else, talks down to him, discredits his career. Ew.
I received an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3 Stars
Jensen Parker’s Honor Bound was my first wrestler-focused romance, and as a lifelong wrestling fan, I was really intrigued by that dynamic.
I enjoyed the second chance romance element and thought the wrestling world was entertaining. The playlist for this book was also amazing. However, there were too many side characters, and because I hadn’t read book one first, it felt overwhelming trying to keep track of everyone, even with the helpful glossary.
The meet cute felt unrealistic, and I struggled with Sloane’s character the most. She came across as pretentious, rude, and constantly dismissive of both wrestling and Wolf’s career, which made it hard to connect with her.
Overall, it had a lot of potential, but I landed somewhere in the middle with this on
This is the first fully immersed wrestling book I’ve read, and it was super fun. Even if I agree with Sloan about wrestling being pretty “stupid.”
I really enjoyed the cast of characters, the ups and downs of the relationship, and the spice. (There’s not a ton of it but it was well done). I loved the similarities that this had to How to lose a guy in 10 days.
The writing was super choppy. It disrupted the flow and I had to reread things often. And although the ending was a HEA, there were some really sad parts too and I did not appreciate it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Very grateful for the ARC that was provided by the publisher via Netgalley 🙌🏽
I can't tell you how excited I was to find an author who wrote about pro wrestling! I am such a big fan and couldn't wait to read this series!
Honor Bound is about Wolf Bennett and Sloane Jenkins. Sloane is a journalist waiting for her big break so that she can get out of her current job and into a better magazine. Wolf is a professional wrestler. Sloane doesn't understand why someone would want to "waste their time or money watching grown men prance around in tights, pretending to hit each other."
When Sloane is assigned to write about EWE, she wants out of this assignment so bad! But then, she bumps into Wolf, who she met a year ago and went on a date with. She decides that this is the perfect opportunity to get the inside story.
Sloane lies about her job; Wolf’s friends are suspicious. Sloane will do whatever it takes to write this story. But, at what cost?
Thank you to Jensen Parker, Victory Editing, and NetGalley for allowing me to read this early in exchange for an honest review.
I absolutely love the detail that Jensen writes into these books. As a fan of WWE, it all flows so well. Sure the names can get confusing because everyone has like 5, but the way it’s written is simply a love letter written to all professional wrestling fans.
I will say I happened to despise Sloane for most of this book. She is hiding that she’s writing a story and claiming she’s only with him for the story through too much of this book. She’s given every opportunity to come clean that when she finally does, it seems too little too late.
✔️ Wrestling Romance ✔️ Sports Romance ✔️ Second Chance Romance ✔️ Opposites Attract ✔️ Hidden Identity
When Jensen says this book is a love letter to wrestling fans she is not kidding. I quite literally only put this book down to watch SmackDown. This book really makes you appreciate wrestling while also experiencing a giggling kicking your feet romance. The matches described are so vivid it feels like you’re inside a WWE episode. After Heartbreaker I was incredibly protective of Wolf and his heart. I was weary but his journey with Sloane was everything you could ask for. I want to live in this world forever. Thank you giving me the opportunity to arc read I cannot wait for the world to have this book!
This book is a page turner. This book will have on the edge of your seat wanting more and more. The way Jensen will make you fall in love with wrestling is unreal. As someone who got into wrestling a year ago with family members who love the sport, I’m so thankful my cousin finally got me into wrestling, and relating to a character like Sloane felt so special.
If you’re looking for an authentic wrestling roman novel, this is, in my opinio, the series to start with. You’ll fall in love with the story and the characters and the sport.
I am not a big wrestling fan but now I see the sport from a whole new light. I loved this book, the push and pull of FMC and MMC was done beautifully. Watching Sloane fall for Wolf knowing that she may have to hurt him for a shot at her dream, and the struggle she goes through to figure out what she wants and needs more, had me turning the pages. I love the found family vibe, and I look for that in my books. I love when a person finally finds a home and the family they belong in. In conclusion I totally give this book 5 stars and will highly recommend it.
Every time I read another book by Jensen I am pulled right in and immediately cannot stop until I have finished the book. This one is no exception. I really love how she tells a new story while weaving in little pieces of previous characters we know and love so we still have updates and know what they’re doing while falling in love with the new characters at the same time.
Sloane and Brooks.
Sloane drove me crazy. I just needed her to be honest because it was obvious she was/had fallen for him but the opportunities she had and didn’t take… girl. 🙄🤣 BUT in the end it makes sense and I get it but the whole time I’m just chanting “tell him, tell him… tell himmmmm.”
I love their story and I love them together.
Harper is still the worst. Figures. 🤣
I love this series so much so far and cannot wait to see what comes next.
Reading Honor Bound and the EWE series continues to remind me of why I’ve always been intrigued by the entertainment and stories of professional wrestling. The detail of matches and broadcasts made me feel like I was sitting ringside. Sloane and Wolf’s story was one I could not put away, I loved every second of it! Can’t wait to see what else this series brings.
Thank you to Jensen Parker for the ARC of this book!
I have never read a wrestler focused book, and I was very entertained with that dynamic. I will say that I had not read book 1 before being given this one, so there were a lot of characters thrown at me at once I felt. BUT the glossary of names was a huge help. I overall really enjoyed this book, and the playlist for this is AMAZING! I loved the way that this was a second chance romance in a different kind of way than what I had read before, and I really liked Sloane.
Once again I am in love with a Jensen book. I’m a huge romance fan and a huge wrestling fan, and when Jensen told me she was working on the EWE series (before Heart Breaker even came out) I was so freaking excited. And this is a perfect follow up to Heart Breaker. I love this time how our FMC is a reporter and so we get the view of someone outside the world of the squared circle. Can’t wait for more from the EWE world!
