A Victorian doctor works tirelessly to rid the world of the scourge of furor uterinus, known more informally as “nymphomania.” He performs experiments on sufferers of this malady, seeking a cure to free those unfortunate wretches trapped in its grip of the desires that enslave them.
Buffalo, Present Day
A college student learns he has inherited a house from a relative he didn’t know he had. He and his friends spend the semester break cleaning the place up, where they discover something quite peculiar: a hidden laboratory, long disused, complete with the experimental notebooks of a Victorian scientist bent on finding a way to restore chastity and purity to women suffering from an unfortunate enjoyment of sex, and an assortment of improbable cast-iron machinery designed to produce excessive sexual stimulation to demonstrate to even the most intemperate of women the ghastly fate that awaits them if they do not return to reason and sanity.
Spurred on by boundless curiosity, they repeat the Victorian experiments, but with an agenda of their own. The things they learn surprise them all.
