HIM

I came back to Ashford County thinking that it was all over...

"I am just here to work" I tell myself.

But she is everywhere.

On the Fireline, in command briefings, in the spaces between my thoughts where I swore she’d never exist again. She’s stronger now. Sharper. Untouchable. And she looks at me like I’m a ghost who never finished haunting her.

It's obvious to me that the supposed "Wildfire" isn’t just an accident. Someone set it. Someone is hiding something in the burn scars and ash, and now I came back to figure it all out, an I have to work closely with her.

The real danger for me isn’t those fires, I have encounter dozens of 'hem.

But the way she still knows me.
The way she still gets under my skin.
The way one look from her brings back everything I buried when I ran.

I left once to protect her.

And the closer we get, to the truth, to each other, the harder it is to tell which fire will consume me first.

Because she isn’t just reopening old wounds…
She’s Reviving in me everything I tried to forget.

HER

I Wish i could just Hate Him, but I can't.

And that’s the problem. What is wrong with me.

He walked out of my life without explanation. And now he’s back, standing in front of me like he never shattered my world.

Now I have to work with him, chasing an arsonist through wildfire ruins, uncovering secrets that were meant to stay buried. The case demands trust.

So does he.

But I don’t trust men who run when things get hard.
I don’t trust apologies that come years too late.
And I definitely don’t trust the way my body still reacts when he’s near.

Every look feels loaded.
Every touch feels dangerous.
Every word we don’t say hurts more than the ones we do.

I survived without him once.
I can do it again.

But surviving isn’t the same as living.

And he isn’t just reopening old scars…
He’s start opening Himself, and I feel like this forced proximity is Reviving in Him Those old feelings that were berried in his heart, and in mine...

Reviving Him is a second-chance small-town firefighter romance filled with danger, emotional tension, slow-burn chemistry, and a love that refuses to stay buried.

This book in the series fell short for me.
There wasn’t enough detail on what happened between the two main characters before this, so it felt a little empty. It was very serious and almost a little depressing? There wasn’t a connection between them at all.
It took a while for this story to link to the others in the series. It was almost as if it was its own separate story then it remembered to link itself to the series.
