This second book jumps right in where the first one left off. Corvus and Madison may be bonded, but they have an impossible task ahead of them, compounded by Madison's newly manifesting Autumn Court Fae powers. They have few, if any, clearly identifiable allies and a host of vampires (of both factions) wanting to kill them. Rowan, Madison's Fae cousin may be a solid ally, but Fae work the long game so handing over trust is not a given simply because she's family.
This part of their story has danger, threats, violence/battles, lots of magic, bond testing and strengthening just to get it started. Count on some horizontal play (well, and vertical too😉), because these two can't keep their hands off eachother. At the end of the day though, will their bond be enough to save them? I highly recommend reading the first book in The Nightbound trilogy prior to this book, or you may feel lost and miss some references that are noteworthy. You'll also get a better overall reading experience already knowing their backstory.
I was gifted a copy of this book and voluntarily provided this review. I'm excited to read the final installment of this trilogy. (Waiting's the hardest part!) Happy Reading Y'all 📚
Bonded After Dark (The Nightbound Trilogy #2) by Craig R. Mitton is an intense and addictive continuation of a forbidden love story set in a dangerous supernatural world. Madison and Corvus’s relationship is at the heart of the story, and the stakes feel higher than ever. Their bond is not only emotional but life threatening, which adds constant tension as they face political pressure, powerful enemies, and forces beyond their control. Madison’s awakening fae powers bring an exciting new layer to the story, making her journey of self-discovery just as compelling as the romance. The mix of vampire politics, fae magic, and looming war keeps the plot fast-paced and engaging. There’s a strong balance between action, emotion, and darker themes, with plenty of twists that keep you hooked. While the story leans into familiar paranormal romance tropes, it does so in a way that feels fresh and entertaining. Fans of steamy, high-stakes supernatural romance will definitely enjoy this installment and the cliffhanger will leave you eager for the next book.
Even though they tried to deny it, Madison and Corvus bonded, something that has brought them to the attention of the vampire Princess Genevieve. A bond that should have been sanctioned by her before it was completed. Now summoned before her, they need to face the consequence of it.
Madison still struggles with her feelings about what she wants to say to Corvus. Her past has made her guard her heart, but she knows she can't let Corvus and the bond be broken.
It's not only the vampire court that the bond has come to the attention of. Madison also finds out more about her past and her heredity from an unexpected source. Then others want to use their unique bond for their own agendas.
The book leaves us on another cliffhanger. Can Corvus and Madison keep themselves safe long enough to complete the task that has been given to them?

This second book follows Madison as she navigates her growing Autumn Court powers and an intensifying bond with Corvus, a connection that is quickly becoming publicly known. As the "unauthorized" nature of their link draws scrutiny, the political lines between factions begin to blur, leaving it unclear who can truly be trusted. The introduction of Madison’s cousin offers a glimmer of hope for an ally, though Corvus remains deeply skeptical.
The author delivers a high-stakes, pulse-pounding adventure fueled by a cast of compelling supporting characters who propel the narrative toward an inevitable breaking point. Ultimately, the story asks if love is enough to bridge the divide between Fae and Vampire, or if the factions are destined for a war that will end them both. I am anxiously awaiting the third installment of this series.

I honestly didn’t think Craig Mitton could top the first book… but Bonded After Dark proves me completely wrong. This sequel is stronger, deeper, and even more addictive.
The emotional stakes are higher, the chemistry is hotter, and the connection between Corvus and Madison feels even more powerful and real. Corvus somehow gets even more swoon-worthy, while Madison’s strength and growth make you root for her every step of the way.
The world feels richer, the tension keeps building, and once again I told myself “just one more chapter”… and suddenly it was way too late. If you love paranormal romance with heart, heat, and that irresistible protective-hero energy, you need this book.
This book picks up after the events of Claimed After Dark. Madison is trying to keep a grasp on a normal life, but being bonded to the vampire Corvus hasn't gone unnoticed by the Princess, regional ruler of the vampires.
This book is a bit longer than the first, but it's still fast-paced with quite a bit of action. We get a look into the politics of the vampire society, and the fae's Autumn Court, and the treaties in place between them. We also learn a little more about fae magic, and I always enjoy reading about fictional magic systems.
It does end on quite the cliffhanger, so I'm very glad I have the third part of this trilogy ready to read.
I received an ARC of this ebook from the author via BookSirens, and I'm voluntarily leaving this review
This second book in the Nightbound Trilogy was fantastic ! Madison and Corvus go on a trip to the Autumn Court and must find a way to solidify their bond or die trying ! This book was more exciting than book one and had amazing characters. If you like your love stories with a dash of adventure and bit of Court intrigue than this book’s for you ! I can’t wait for the final book as they go searching for more bonded couples to fight the war for acceptance. 5✨’s. Profoundly addictive, Bonded after Dark is the direct continuation of book 1 in The Nightbound Trilogy. Madison and Corvus are newly bonded but not having been sanctioned, there are those who want them separated or even eliminated. When lost family claim to be an ally suspicion is warranted. The intensity of this second part of this series is explosive and emotionally charged. I am anxious for the next one, especially having been left on another cliffhanger.
I love a good vampire book, and this book is GREAT! The twists and turns never stop, but all of them are so believable! Corvus and Madison share such an awesome bond. I just absolutely love them as a couple! My new mantra for my marriage is "Together?" " Always". This book is actually a 4.5 ⭐️ but I couldn't get the half star to work! As soon as I'm done with my review here, I'm immediately starting Book 3 because I cannot wait a minute longer to see how this series ends! I am so hooked!
The second book picks up right after the first, and what I like about the author's writing is that he doesn't waste much time on insignificant things and we move straight to the main point. Let's see if we'll have war in the third book. But we'll always be together...always.
This book was just as great as the first one. I love the story line and all the characters in the book. I also really love this author. I cannot wait to read the next book.

Wow! I'm officially hooked and waiting for the next series. Great set! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Bonded After Dark is a powerful and addictive continuation that builds on the intensity of the first book and takes everything to the next level.
What stood out most to me was how much deeper the story goes. The stakes feel higher, the emotions hit harder, and the connections between the characters become even more compelling.
The darker tone continues to shape the story, adding layers of tension and intrigue that keep you fully invested as everything unfolds.
For me, this easily earns 5 ⭐ because it was gripping, emotional, and impossible to put down.
