Author A.V. Donaldson is a writer of murder and mayhem. She currently resides in Texas with her husband, three teenagers, and a lap full of adorable cats. High intensity, pure revenge, and absolutely no mercy. The Pretty Little Slashers Valentine anthology is here—a pulse-pounding bloodbath crafted by 11 talented authors whose stories of relentless pursuit will leave you utterly addicted to the world of PLS.
***I received an advance reader copy. These thoughts are my own opinion.***
This edition holds up well to the original Pretty Little Slashers that came out last year! It's a great variety of short stories showcasing vengeful women during the Valentine's Day holiday.
I had a few favorites this time:
- Be Mine by Tina S Transformation - Sergeant Valentine by EN Chanting - Catfish by Courtney Capone - Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Brooke Montoya
This all-female anthology is electrifying, bold, and unapologetically ruthless. Beneath the lipstick, lace, and carefully curated smiles, something dark and dangerous waits—and it’s deliciously satisfying. Valentine’s Day isn’t just for love here; it’s for vengeance, for the women who have been overlooked, dismissed, or scorned one too many times. Each story is a sharp, thrilling reminder that these women won’t stay in the shadows—they’re taking control, demanding respect, and serving justice on their own terms. It’s empowering, addictive, and unforgettable—a must-read for anyone who believes that a little sweet can go hand in hand with a lot of fire.
I love reading anthologies that combine some of my favorites along with some new-to-me writers! This one was just that. I knew I could count on the stories from AV, Tina, Courtney, Danielle, and Brooke being good and they did not disappoint!
I plan to add some of the others to my list to check out, especially Aurelia NYC and EN Chanting.
If you like a good slasher story where women have the upper hand, make sure you grab this one!
11 stories of murderous Valentines Day! Women getting revenge on cheating husbands or boyfriends, or even exes. I loved this anthology! I enjoyed every single story!
Pretty Little Slashers 2 somehow manages to be just as good as the first, which honestly isn’t easy to pull off.
I went into this already loving the first book, and this one delivered in all the ways I wanted it to. There’s something really special about this series being all female authors, you can feel that energy in every story. It’s sharp, angry, fun, and unapologetically brutal in the best way.
What I loved most is how easy it is to move from one story to the next and always find something new to latch onto. Some are straight up revenge fantasies, some are darker and more unsettling, but they all hit. There wasn’t a single one that felt like filler.
It’s the kind of anthology where you come back for the authors you already love, but end up discovering a few new favorites along the way. That alone makes it worth it.
If you liked the first one, you’re going to love this. Bloody, satisfying, and honestly just a really fun read. Easy five stars again.
This stories are not your happily ever afters. These stories are for those women who have had enough of mistreatment and pain. Each story revolves around Valentine's Day, but love won't win their hearts. No these are the stories of revenge for all those wronged by those who claimed to love. Filled with lots of secrets, twists, and surprises you won't see coming, Pretty Little Slashers II is a fantastic collection of stories for anyone who likes to see what happens when the victims take matters into their own hands.
Not one, but two books of female slasher horror? I love it.
This is exactly why I keep going back to this author. She is doing something different. You do not see women written like this all the time, especially not in this genre. These women are not victims. They take control. GIRL POWER.
“Pretty Little Slashers II: A Valentine’s Day Bloodbath” is a brutal, addictive collection of short stories from an amazing lineup of authors. Each tale delivers the perfect blend of revenge, violence, blood, and gore, making this anthology impossible to put down. Every story hits hard and leaves a lasting impression. A must-read for slasher and horror fans, this Valentine’s Day is anything but sweet.
