Phil Troyer is an author and independent researcher with a lifelong interest in understanding how reality actually works. Drawing on his background as an automotive diagnostic technician, Phil approaches philosophy the same way he approached complex mechanical problems—by setting aside assumptions, breaking problems down to their basics, and following the logic wherever it leads. His books explore the foundations of reality, the assumptions behind different worldviews, and the role of information in shaping how we understand the world. Phil lives with his wife, Jan, in Delaware.
I'm not sure if I followed the point of this book too well as it was like a treatise on a theory proof that goes pretty deep. It is not a light read indeed, essentially posing arguments on the postulate that everything stems from intelligence of the mind. The counter point is to anyone taking the position of materialism. Do I have that right? I don't know but maybe you can read the book and tell me. You may find the clue in that the author repeats his main point over and over again throughout the entire book. The he repeats it over and over again to make sure you understand he is repeating it over and over again, and there you have the book and his point.
