The students think he's a master Battle Mage. He's really just a master of the 9mm.
Escaping from a government hit squad requires more than luck. It needs tradecraft. To survive, I accepted the position of Professor of Defensive Magics at Ravenwick Academy. My plan was to hide in plain sight.
But my cover has a complication. You see, it turns out I'm a Null. A void in the magical spectrum.
This makes me invisible to the Academy's wards, but something of a beacon to its women. Having no magic of my own, I act as a grounding rod for the elite grad students and am able to amplify their magic.
So, yeah. I'm a performance-enhancing drug for the most dangerous women on campus. This makes them obsessed, possessive, and rather demanding of private tutoring.
But with the academy's Board already trying to fire me and a Black Ops wet-team on the way through the walls, I need every ally I can get my hands on. Which means turning my class of privileged glass cannons into a fighting squad before the breach.
They have fireballs. I have a Glock. Welcome to the top of the food chain.

I’ve been writing forever, but Haremlit has, recently, become my life. Trailer Park Elves for the win! If I can capture 0.1% of the vibe there, I’ll be winning.
My first series, Undercover Archmage, seeks to be a bit of a different take on Academy novels. One where private tutoring is very much encouraged.
My second series, The WarMage of Arkley, is a slice-of-life Apocalypse where we see exactly how far a dad will go to protect his daughter. Which, as he’s a Supremacy-grade Mage, is pretty far indeed…

After a promising beginning and premise, a hero without magic trapped in a world controlled by it, this book bogged down at the midpoint. Repetitive, focused on one thing with nearly no plot, I found myself bored, skipping page after page. I finally gave up.
First off our MC talks like guy who never actually joined the military because he'd fight a Drill Sergeant. Secondly everyone is so dumb. The headmaster and rest of the school literally don't know what a gun is, or a tazer. They clearly even go out and party in the normal world and know how to get an Uber. I don't know, maybe it gets better, but I made it about 20% before I skipped a bunch and read some random sections and It didn't get any better. This seems like the author had a cool concept but had no idea how to execute it in believable way. Combined with an MC that's straight up annoying. I'm sure some people will like it but its not for me.
This book delivers an original twist on the magical academy genre, centering on a protagonist who stands out as a professor with no magic of his own. Watching him navigate — and ultimately teach — a cohort of privileged, magically gifted students is both compelling and creates sharp social commentary. Add to that a handful of well-written spicy scenes, and you get a novel that feels engaging and entertaining from start to finish.
It was more entertaining than I was expecting. The chemistry is meh, but the LI's are distinct enough. The ending was dumb, lies during some kind of trial and no consequences? Spoilers, I don't see how this can continue with the same tropes, the mc gives away his advantage in the end, so...
In a genre already full of slop, the fact that we now have to sift through pages upon pages of Marvel dialogue and incoherent timelines and nonsensical motivations is frustrating. Don’t waste your time with this.
