BOOK REVIEW - Christian Non-fiction MIND FULL - MIND SET - MIND SHIFT (Dealing with anxiety and depression in this modern world) by Randy Dignan
Approachable. That’s the first word that comes to mind when I think about this little book on a Christian’s journey to overcoming anxiety and depression. Every page delivers practical advice and heartfelt sincerity to encourage believers that are struggling.
As the author explains, this book does not concentrate on medical or cultural approaches to anxiety, but rather presents a biblical perspective.
The writing is conversational and lovingly delivers Biblical insight on how Christians should approach anxiety and depression differently than the commonly accepted approaches. With the use of Scripture, personal anecdotes, and hands on application, Bro. Randy Dignan speaks directly to the heart of the reader.
This is an excellent book that I wholeheartedly recommend. At 102 pages it can be read quickly, but I found that I benefited best by focusing on a chapter or two a day.
The book is wonderful! It’s easy to read and understand for almost everyone. I personally struggled with similar issues, and it took me years of meeting people, listening to preaching, and learning from others to develop a “MIND FULL, MIND SET, and MIND SHIFT.”
This author shortens that timespan into about 100 pages, which could take you only about a week to read! The book is a must-have tool for everyone who needs to be reminded and refocused.
You know the phrase, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” It’s similar with this book. Reading it, along with the simple verses included, can help reduce expensive doctor visits by giving you a strong biblical perspective.
I’ve never met the author personally, but I’ve listened to his sermon twice in person. He is consistent...the same voice on social media, in sermons, and in this book. Clearly, he writes from his heart and from experience helping others.
