The story was good. In a few places there were lulls in the story, that slowed my interest. I did not feel a deep and abiding connection between Swift and Starlah. And.... The characters names were something else. Colt, Braelyn, Creed, Lucky, Chevy, Money, and Choppa. Overall, the story was pretty good. 3.75 stars.
3.5 stars ⭐️ I really enjoyed this story and love how Star was able to find joy after such a tragic time ! Swift came on in there and claimed his lady lol 😂 Colt can burn in hell because wtf you mean that might be your baby smh 🤦🏽♀️ This story took off quick and kinda jumped around but I really wish I would have gotten more of their happy ever after…
I read this book twice before leaving this review. Starlah and Swift had me glued to these digital pages. Their chemistry was fire right from the start! Their dogs, Papa and Chevy, hit it off just like their parents. The way Swift took care of Starlah during the most horrible time in her life showed that this man would take care of her mind, heart, and soul. Starlah knew she had found the man who was worthy of her heart and her trust, unlike her trifling ex-boyfriend, Colt. This book is a definite must-read! Add it to your TBR list ASAP. You will not be disappointed.
I enjoyed Swift and Starlah. It was just a lot going on for such a short book. Swift really went and fell in love and I was for it. Then there’s the old saying, a dead man can’t pay nothing so why would they go in guns blazing? Well, it had some things that kept me reading. Happy Reading Y’all!💋
I was not expecting that to happen. Dang!!! My poor boo Starlah. I am so happy she had Chevy because Colt was not man enough for her. Who tears someone down because they do not want to deal with your cheating. I guess he was good for something.
Now Swift... he was a HOT mess until that southern belle caught his eye. I loved how attentive he was to Star and Chevy. Trying to keep a smile on her face in the darkest days and her bed warm on cool nights.
Rating 3.5⭐️ Papa (BLP Breeds Book 10) is love after loss, the kind that shows up when you’re not even looking for it when you’re just trying to survive the pain.
Star's grief felt heavy. Losing Lucky, Creed, and Whistle. That wasn’t just loss, that was pieces of her world being stripped away. You could feel it in every moment that quiet, aching kind of hurt where you don’t even have the energy to process it fully.
What's the saying they will change when they encounter the right one🤎 Swift's entrance isn't loud or forceful. He's just present. The way he stepped in, cared for her and loved her through that grief instead of trying to rush her past it. 🫶🏾 It wasn’t about replacing what she lost it was about giving her something to hold onto while she healed.
Papa and Chevy 😂 They were not side characters. They had their own presence, their own personality adding warmth and a little light to a story that could’ve stayed heavy.
This really felt like love after a storm. Not perfect, not rushed just two people finding their way to each other in the middle of pain.
I might be unforgiving but Colt he could’ve stayed exactly where he was. Dinner invite revoked permanently.
Soft, emotional and rooted in healing. Sometimes love doesn’t come before the pain it meets you right in the middle of it.

I absolutely loved book 10 of the BLP Breeds Series!!!! Tisha did an amazing job telling Starlah and Swift’s story. I can’t wait to read more of her catalog.
Starlah and Swift met during a very difficult time in Starlah’s life, she was dealing with grief and her boyfriend betraying her and when he saw her all her wanted to do was take care of her because she was different than the rest. And even in her grief she knew he was the one she needed. And his mama and daddy are hilarious and so in love!!!
You definitely need to add this book and the rest of this series to your TBR!!
Let me first say....I'm ok with dogs but Papa and Chevy were too adorable. Now...Colt can go play somewhere..which is what he was doing anyway👀👀👀. Star deserved better. Now I was not ready for the 3 hitters to fall like that. I loved the families coming together. Swift was something. I loved him and Money✨️✨️Swift told Star what he wanted and saw her. Star saw him and thank god she didn't give Colt a thought. Very tragic however Star was able to grow from this. She was somewhat hidden when her family was there. Swift and his family stood with her. The family legacy continues. ✨️✨️Loved it✨️✨️
Oh baby this was good. It had my interest from page one til the end. All of the characters and storyline were effortlessly written and interesting. Swift, the MMC who’s nurturing, patient, and the ultimate ladies man builds a bond with Starlah the beautiful, hardworking, and reserved FMC. While he’s helping her through some sad and tragic times will discover the more he spends time with her there’s more to her and he wants to know and explore all things Starlah Steel.
Swift was just like his daddy, Cain… love sick behind his woman. He didn’t think he’d ever fall for a woman, but coming back after family friends passed, he got just that. Star grew up and he was feeling her. She was dealt a sad hand in life, but Swift and his parents plus Logan were right there for her. I love how attentive and loving he was with Starlah. Colt was supposed to be that for her, but he was on some sneaky stuff. Papa and Chevy were their owners protectors.
There was an instant attraction between Swift and Starlah when Swift came to town with his parents. Out of tragedy, Starlah was able to find the love of her life in Swift. Papa and Chevy were so cute and very protective and loving with their owners. My least favorite character was Colt, Starlah's ex. I was glad when Starlah stopped giving him the time of day because she deserved much better than him. I hated what Starlah had to go through, but in the long run, it brought Swift and Papa into her life.
The End Have you ever read a story and got to the end, and you just can't believe it's the end? Well, this is that story, its 4am and all I can think about is I need more of this amazing love story. I really enjoyed the first interactions between Swift and Star. Although Star was grieving they both couldn't deny the feelings they felt from the beginning.
Swift and Starlarh's story was cute and fast paced. Swift came in and provided Starlarh with the calm and peace she needed in her storm. Swift and his family let her know she was loved and supported after she lost the closest people in her life, and felt she had no one left. By the end she learned she did and gained a husband and extended family. Five stars Ms. Andrews!!🥰
The Brighton family is funny, loving and everything a family should be in life. Swift and Starlah are great for each other and though essentially love at first sight, I appreciated it taking some time before they got together. The tragedy in this book is beyond what anyone should have to endure but I'm glad she had good folks in her corner, near and far. I appreciated that all the good people found redemption. Read this book!
This was a little too slow to get to the point. It was a lot of back story before we get to what the story is supposed to be about. Too many names and moving parts as the story starts. It was a little fast and slow at the same time if that makes sense. I did love the community and family looking out for family aspect of the story the Brighton’s made the story.
Ok I enjoyed this one. Of course I loved the unhinged of Swift even if he really ain't show it. I wished the end would have been a little different just felt rushed. Also I wanted to know what that dumb man Colt said after Star and Swift carnival night lol!! Overall good read!
First time reading this author and I wasn’t disappointed at all! Very good book from beginning to end. It didn’t start off slow and the story just flowed.
Poor Starlah was taking blows left and right, but with the support team she had she couldn’t do anything but walk away unscratched and stronger. Yyyeeessss, I’m talking about that upgrade she did as well!!!
And another one! Swift & Starlah wasn't expecting the turn of events. Swift for sure was a male thot who swore he was never gonna slow his roll. Oh but he unexpectedly had to dip out to the country where the crops wasn't the only thing he tended to. Their dogs helped teach them that when that love Jones comes down... ain't no running from it! 💖
This story had potential but to me it was all over the place and was a bit hard to keep up with the way it was written. The main couple does get their happily ever after though and I did like the connection between them.
I like this booked. Some families you don't have to be born into. Logan stepped up and helped his Lucky daughter even when he didn't have too. He even brought his family in to help. I have people like that in my life and I'm greatful
This was truly an interesting book. Being a dog owner and lover of dogs. Swift and Starla’s relationship was made for books. The drama in this book was something else. Please list the characters in the beginning it makes it easier to keep up with who is related.
Colt was very wrong about how he talked to Star but Logan gave him some act right. Swift got himself together when he found the perfect person for him. Money needs a book 📖 cause I'm wondering did he stay with Tarsha or did he move to Pelham??
I would of beat Colts ass for his evil words. Janky ass motherfucker. I really liked Star and Swift. Brae was a nasty little bitch. I was hoping that Colt was the father to get rid of both they trifling asses for good.
