The Vampire's Love

Rate this book
It’s been over a year since Val has last seen Abigail. Driven nearly mad by her loss, he finally accepts that she is gone to him forever. Until the night he discovers her about to be sold at a human auction. After rescuing her from her new captor, he is stunned to realize that his little dove is no longer the shy, frightened human she once was. When he learns of her plan to rescue her new human friends from the deadly games they are being forced to participate in, he reluctantly agrees to help her.Abigail vows to never again be a vampire’s meal ticket, But when Val rescues her from the auction block, an obsession she thought was gone forever is reignited. Desperate to save her friends, she strikes a bargain with Val - the vampire she swore she’d never allow to control her again. Pretending to be Val’s human slave is almost easy. Pretending she isn’t falling in love with him is almost impossible.Author’s This is Book Two in the ‘Other World’ series and “The Vampire’s Kiss (Book One)” MUST be read first. Although Book Two tells a complete story, be warned that there is a bit of a cliff-hanger at the end because who doesn’t love a good cliff-hanger? This book also contains explicit and steamy sex scenes that may not be your cup of tea.

No rating because DNFing so early in the book

Okay so the Hero totally redeemed himself for what he's said and done in the first book but the heroine had to make a complete 180 did she? It's been a year, so I guess of course she's changed but I don't agree with some of the decisions she made in this. So selfish and stupid. She cares more of her pride than dying because of her decision. OH GOD.

The Vampires Love Review

It's been a year since Abigail has seen Val. Val has desperately been searching for her since she was kidnapped by another vampire. When he rescues her, she is not the shy, cowardly girl he once knew. She has lost weight, became confident, and is a bad ass vampire killer. After spoiling her plans to rescue her friends, he vows to help her get them even though it probably means sudden death. Abigail tries to stay away from Val's charms because she wants to make sure her love for him is real and not the spell of a vampires kiss. I'm loving this alternative earth that Romona Gray brings to life with her words. A great 5 star read!

Oh my gosh I loved this second book even more. It is funny in the first book I was angry with Val for the first two chapters and now in this book I am angry with Abby in part of Chapter 2 and Chapter 3. My heart was breaking how Val had given up, he was so lost without Abigail, he had searched and searched and could not find her. I loved that we got to see his kindheartedness right from the start, he kept something that Abby loved close to him at all times. Then a shocker, right before his eyes and I was freaking, what was he going to do. Then he springs into action only to find out that Abigail was no longer the same woman he craved and protected. She was different and for a few chapters I really wasn't sure if I was going to like her, she was so cold to Val and I thought it was terrible that she never sought him, Violet, Neil, or Maria out to let them know she was okay. Don't get me wrong I love that she is now strong, tough, and independent (not really sure why her losing weight had to be brought into this, I loved that there was a chubby heroine) but the one thing I hated was when she called Val a Leech, I thought it felt like a stab right to my heart. But then she begins to be her old self more, defending him, trying to make amends, and the author allowed us to read what she was really thinking when she saw Val and that changed everything for me, even when she was not being great with him I knew what she was feeling in her heart. We learn so much about Val in this book and what has happened in his past. They are on a mission and it becomes so dangerous, There are so many trials, obstacles, and then something happens that is just terrible and Abby finally lets Val know how she feels. Then the evil vampire Darius has a surprise for all of them and I am on the edge of my seat, worried about how they are going to get out of this, and then the biggest shocker of the book happens...and that is all I will say. I am still amazed at how much I love this series and have never heard about it. Grab these books, you will not be disappointed.

This is the sequel to The Vampire's Kiss and shouldn't be read out of order. The plot picks up almost a year after where book 1 leaves off. I was immediately interested and grasping for what was going to happen after such a cliffhanger from book 1. We get to know and understand Val so much more in this book and he is a complicated, honorable vampire. He has his "moments", but cemented my standing in the "We love Val" fan club from the first chapter. Abigail has changed and grown so much in their year long separation that I almost didn't recognize her. She is even more strong and independent than previously seen. Their romance is just as steamy and hot, but contains the angst and drama of their separation and misunderstandings. This series has confirmed it will be an one-click purchase for me from this point forward. I was given a copy in exchange for an honest review, am now addicted, and purchasing the entire series.

Warning - This does contain smoking hot sexual situations meant for 18 and over...like sweaty palms, temperature rising, when does my spouse get home sex!

I'm still loving this series. The first book finished on a cliffy, which usually isn't my thing but it seems to fit here.

Val finally finds Abby but she's quite changed from the shy, scared and plump girl he fell for. His little dove is now a good fighter on a crazy rescue mission.

The only thing that annoyed me a bit was Abby's determination to not let Val feed from her. Give the poor starving guy a break!

Whoa, this story will keep you up! The Vampire’s Love by Ramona Gray is such a great piece of art! This exciting piece of fiction is a continuation of Vampire’s Kiss and the story just keeps getting better and better! I love how the whole thing just flowed so seamlessly from scene to scene and I just could not read it fast enough! The story grabs you right from the beginning and just doesn’t let you go. The plot twists, the dialogue, the action, the love story, they are all just parts of this crazy world that I can’t wait to revisit again. Val is still broody, Violet the Pixie is still adorable, and oh my gosh, Abby comes back! Dude, she is such a badass! If I could be reborn as anything, I would beg to please, let me come back like the new Abby! There are new characters, the story grows, the intrigue, the love, and then there are the evil guys who you will hate as much as I do. The story is so good that I didn’t want it to end. The new characters bring new opportunities to grow the story and Ramona Gray knows how to cultivate some wicked ideas! It’s a hard to put down story and you should totally pick it up!

Val and Abby have matured a lot since the first book. Abby has toughened up and is ready to try to take on the world. Val is the dependable strength that keeps her from overshooting on her plans. Val lives up to the potential that we wanted to see from him when he was a bit of a dick in the first book. Abby is a bit naive in holding on to her pride while in under cover situations but because Val is there to smooth things over we can see the strength of his feelings for her. I received an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. I enjoyed reading The Vampires Love and thought it was a great follow up to The Vampires Kiss.

Goodness! I would definitely own a coin for every time I had to sigh while reading this.
Aside from "the assistant" , Ramona continues to disappoint me. And this piece while having a great plot, the delivery as always leaves you wondering why this was rushed without the skill of an already published author.
Sadly, I'm placing Ramona on my temporary "Do not read" list, until she fine-tunes her writing skill.

Haven't read such a good vampire book in a long time. Loved the storyline, with just the right amounts of action vs romance

ABSOLUTELY AWESOME !!!

Good Golly Miss Molly! I love it! The Vampire's Love is Book Two in the Other World Series by Ramona Gray and it is AWESOME! This is the third book by this author that I have read and I am more than impressed - I'm officially a fan! Gray has once again demonstrated amazing talent, impressive writing ability and astounding imagination. Her writing flows with great ease and grace and the dialog is smart and flows brilliantly. This is not the same old tired vampire story. I was totally enthralled. Exciting! Action Packed! Well Written! Original! Smart! Captivating! Thrilling! Action Packed! Romantic! Sweet! Sensual! Sexy! Oh,and did I mention hot! Oh yeah! After being transported to an alternate world that is primitive and filled with bloodthirsty vampires, Abigail meets Val, a handsome but arrogant vampire. After Val is nearly killed, Abby saves his life by allowing him to feed from her. Val becomes obsessed with Abby-his Little Dove- and insists that she now belongs to him. Abby, Val and their friends are attacked and Abby is kidnapped. Val and Violet, Abby's pixie friend, are devastated and begin searching for her. After thirteen months Val and Violet have all but given up when he sees her being sold at a human slave auction. But Val soon discovers that all is not as it seems when he rescues her. Abby has changed in more than just her physical appearance! What in the world happened to Abigail and who has she become? Oh my! But Val still wants her, more than ever, and has to have her. She belongs to him! This is where Book Two begins and it literally explodes from the very first page. I could not turn the pages fast enough. This book grabs you, wraps its magic and fantasy around you, and holds you until the very end. I was totally enthralled! I eagerly await her next release.

So, its been a year. A year trying to find his little dove. Where does he find her? An auction and she's been bought by a nasty vampire. Val rescues her and kills said vampire but shes different. Stronger, thinner...and shes kick ass. Val doesn't get the welcome he is expecting. She basically ignores him after yelling at him for ruining her plan to infiltrate Darius' castle to rescue her friends. She refuses this time to let him feed and he refuses to have sex with her. Its basically like this through the whole book til towards the end. I did find that part to be annoying. I couldn't understand why she treated him the way she did. She knows he cares about her and he hasn't fed on humans since her from over a year ago. We do find out about Val's history. He's really an heir to a ruthless King and he wants no part of that. We learn about his lost love and because of that she over hears this and knows he can never love her. He's slowly starving because he cant leave the castle as they try to keep up this farce and she wont allow him to feed off her and he doesn't want to hurt her by feeding off other slaves. Not unitl he is beaten and scarred by silver does she allow a feeding. She then realizes how stupid she's been and admits to loving him which shocks him and he therefore realizes he loves her too. Ugh...crazy idiots. LOL. Anyways the end they all jump into a portal taking them to a strange new land that happens to have huge shifters in it. Then it ends. So, know that there will be more to their story. I didnt like this as much as the first but I still liked it a lot.

I almost didn't read this book because the first one was disappointing. I am glad that I decided to give it a chance. Abby was swept away to an alternate reality. She met a vampire named Val and they became lovers ( this took place in the first book). Then she was kidnapped by another vampire. This book starts 13 months later. Val has been looking for Abby everywhere and finally finds her at a slave auction. Abby recruits him for a mission to save her friends from a vampire who has a gladiatorial arena. Val has to pose as a wicked vampire named Joven and Abby poses as his slave. They spend some very uncomfortable nights together (Abby won't let him bite her and he won't feed from anyone else.) I won't tell anymore of the story because I don't want yup spoil out for you, but the story is really good.

The adventure Val travels to find and Protect Abby is crazy. Over 13months and he hasn't feed or sleep with any one as he only has eyes for Abby. Must say Val becomes a bit soft in this story but his protective nature for Abby has only increased.#

Abby isn't that same as she once was as she has lost all the weight and she kicks ass. She still has her feeling for Val but refuses to be his pet. Determined to say her friends she is willing to risk her life for them.

Well what a shocker part 2 is. Finding out about who Val really is. Their craziness of attempting to take down an vampire house hold.

Can not wait till part 3 and part 4 is out as I really wanna see what other worlds their are.

Up all night reading, highly recommend :-)

I love this series. The character development is awesome, the story keeps you on the edge of your seat. The action and romance is awesome not cheesy at all. I love not only the chemistry but there is so much passion between two strong characters. I highly recommend this book to any pnr reader. I couldn't put this book down, I can't wait for the next book.

halfway through this book and the female lead is unnecessary. she would not be missed if the author had killed her off but god forbid the author actually put a little effort into the plot line. it seems, that she is literally written in to make asinine decisions as a plot device to carry the story. if you want more drama on a 'rescue' mission, she's your girl.

Hah, I actually really liked all the crazy world jumping! I'm guessing at this rate, Val and Abby get their HEA after that particular cliff hanger? And it was a pretty good cliff hanger too (which is really odd to say...)

I really liked getting to know Val more in this book. I felt that Abby was trying to hard to resist him even though she knew that she wanted him from the beginning. It was a good read, lots of action and peril and Val was a fully developed character that I enjoyed getting to know.

What is with the ending!!??? It was good until that. Finally Abby succumbed to Vaklyn! Really her insistence in him not feeding from her was starting to grate on my nerves.
