Olivia Black fell in love with romance novels years ago and read everything from alternative to ménage, and everything in between. Thousands of books later, Olivia is still an avid reader on the lookout for a good book.
Olivia started writing ménage romance with Siren Publishing under the name Alicia White, then later decided to branch out and with the support of the publisher, started writing ManLove under Olivia Black. Silver Bullet was the first ManLove series and Olivia is looking forward to many others in the future.

I really really wanted to like this book more than i did. I thought the blurb sounded awesome! I liked that Jim and Anthony were older and not some young twinks still learning who they are. Nothing wrong with twinks but it's always nice to have something different. But these 2 men and really Jim in particular ACTED very young. Almost immature when it came to their relationship. If my partner had disappeared for 10 years and showed up with a kid I would have some serious issues. I think Jim should have been hurt and a little concerned about having a child out of the blue. I just wanted more depth. It didn't make sense that Anthony was able to live with jim for years and never tell him that he's a wolf AND that jim is his mate. I wish Anthony would have had to work a little more to gain Jims trust after 10 years. The other issue for me was if Jim and Anthony said "I love you. ." one more time I was going to vomit. like literally. It's like " I've been gone for 10 years with no word or contact and now I'm back with a biological child. .but I love you so everything is right in the world. .." One positive abt the book was Everett, the selectively mute son, seemed to have a strong connection with a Jaguar shifter also living at the Castle. They are apparently not mates but it seems the author has plans to include something new in the future installments. So that could be cool. .
The story has been written in a rush. That's the impression I got while reading. It could have been at least 15-20 pages longer. It's a shame cause the storyline has a lot potential.
Anthony was forced to leave his unclaimed mate Jim behind 10 years ago when his deranged father took him home, his son Everett helps to rescue his dad from his cage and they head to New Orleans to find Jim once again
Another chapter in this new dragon series under my belt. Only took an extra 2 days to in reality to actually start reading it. Being short on time I choose instead to reread a few old books. But now that I got back on track, I wish the next book was ready like.. NOW!
At first I was thinking why on earth is this guy one of the heir mates to let himself get captured so easily? It seems clear that the heirs are going to be the birthers so their mates are going to be penetrators. So need someone that knows how to handle himself and be a protector.
Valkin redeems his weakness impression at his own pace and in his own way. Basically he 'chose' to let Jar and Cyon believe they had him secure. Besides the incident that he gets captured by.. and really can you blame him to be distracted by his newfound mate to get clobbered? And then Jarrek's little needle stunt that made him feel emasculated.. I was actually impressed that Jarrek was ABLE to knock him out while distracted.
So, in Tallis book there was the whole issue of possibly being sterile and getting pregnant. Hmm yeah see where I'm going... Total brush off in regards to Jarrek and Valkin. Hello!!!! Where is the testing on Jarrek to see if/what was affected in him by the bad guys? Cyon himself that once mated they would be highly fertile and yet no mention of Jarrek falling footsteps right fast. And are we going to get more info or even SEE this whole egg laying business? And Cyon's mate just seems.... like HE would be a bottom boy. Sorry that is my first and second impression.. Once we get a more close up look at the inner workings of him I doubt that is going to change..
So looking forward to the next book... and that will be ???
While looking for his missing younger brother that he believes has been kidnapped, Jarrek comes across his mate Valken. At first Jarrek is confused by what he feels, and tries to stay away thinking that Valken is his enemy. Valken doesn't not help matters by keeping his mouth shut about what has been going on either.
Valken is not a happy man. He has been taken hostage off his own ship, by his mate and Jarrek’s older brother. Unbeknownst to the brothers he could have escaped at any time. He is just biding his time until he can claim his mate. I liked both MCs in this book. Jarrek is doing what he thinks is the right thing, even though he knows Valken his is mate. Valken is a little put out that his mate is denying him. Plus the fact that he is being held captive. When the two finally clear things up they are pretty explosives, and really sexy.
The writing was done well and moved fast. More information is given about the heirs and their gifts. Also, it gives insight to the next books coming in the series. I also like the unique take on the dragon lore. I always enjoy reading about different takes on well-known themes. I look forward to the next books in the series.
Uf!
This is one of those books that you just read and can't put down in my opinion. I feel for Anthony and what he went through. I feel for the little boy that couldn't spend time with his dad. I feel for Jim that lost his mate and didn't even have a chance to get him back in 10 years, and thought he was dead. The obstacles in this story made me love it more and the fact that the little boy found a friend and protector. OH BOY! This is going to be amazing when he grows up :P
Finally some real plot enters the picture! Of course, it only comes together towards the end, but this book at least had some real conflict as well. For once in this series, I can't wait to see where it's headed. I'm looking forward to reading more about the youngest pack members and their destiny.
This one wasn’t actually offensive to me, but there just was so much unfulfilled potential. This could have been an interesting story in various ways – instead it ended up ignoring all the exciting bits in favour of forced conflict (these people go out of their way to make their love interests assume the worst instead of clearing things up with the first sentence) and generic sex.
