Loved the whole series so much I read all six books in 2 days I couldn't wait to find out what the McAllisters family got up to next I'm now passing books on to a work colleague who's from Glasgow and has heard me laughing out loud reading them!

Although I enjoyed the first three books,I hated the next two,I live and was raised in Glasgow, around the same time as the books are set.I had 3 sisters and 4 brothers, lived in a council estate where most of the families were as big as mine.
We had fights and arguments the same as any big families did,I find it strange and quiet unbelievable that all the brothers sisters and Dad in these stories were so violent, almost all of the time.
It got a bit tiresome and further added to the stereotype of violent Glasgow.
I’m afraid I gave up and stopped reading the last book,

OK

I read this basically because I read the previous ones in the series but really do not like this family. Do not get their values.
