Series Gets Dumber and Dumber the Longer It Goes On
"Battlecruiser Alamo: Ghost Ship," Book 10 of the never ending series, is another exhibit in the demise of the original concept. This book, along with most of its predecessors, just gets dumber, and dumber, and dumber. It fails on every level: as SciFi, as entertainment, as competent writing.
There is an extensive laundry list of why this book and its author, a "Mr. Tongue," are so bad. Suffice it to say the writing, editing, and proofreading are abysmal, failures in just about every way. The storyline, plots, characters are not only ridiculous in their stupidity, they are also thinly disguised versions of previous books in the series, and blatantly "borrowed" from numerous other books and screenplays.
If it wasn't for the fact that I read this book via the small, monthly fee of Kindle Unlimited, I would never have wasted my time. The series and its author, "Mr. Tongue," are not worth a dime.
