National bestselling authors Carl Weber and Treasure Hernandez are back with their latest installment in the wildly popular Family Business saga.Vegas Duncan’s release from prison is right on time for his older brother Junior’s engagement to the voluptuous Sonya Brown. Unfortunately, Junior’s attempt at happiness comes to a screeching halt when Sonya’s husband, the mysterious Brother X, and his army of Muslim hit men declares war on the Duncan clan. Duncan family patriarch LC Duncan has gone up against many foes in his time and has always come out on top; however, he’s never gone up against a religious fanatic like Brother X, who cares little about money and everything about principle. LC does have one card up his sleeve to shut down X. The question is, will he wake up from his gunshot-induced coma before it’s too late? What could be worse than fighting a war while your father’s in a coma? How about two brothers and a brother-in-law undermining each other in a battle for their father’s seat at a multimillion-dollar table? Once again the Duncan family is wrapped up in the drama, intrigue, and nonstop action that fans have come to expect from this powerful series.

This book gave me a headache because I was trying to read it so fast the last couple of days trying to finish it. I need The Family Business 4 out now to see if who I think shot LC turns out to be who actually did it. This is definitely a good series of books, and yes I'm hooked on reading more of the Duncan's.
OMG!!!!! I love the Duncan Family. I don't know who my favorite character is yet. I probably should've read Family Business 2 again as a refresher but things fit together so it wasn't a big deal. We finally get to see the mythical Vegas in action. He sort of didn't live up to the hype. I wanted more.
Brother X was a BEAST. He was the perfect villain. Two parts crazy and the pet rats were even crazier. I was pissed at Junior for causing the war between his family and the Muslims but they all rose to the occasion.
I was glad to see Daryl fitting into the story nicely. Daryl and London????? I'm intrigued. All I'm going to say about Minister Farah is beware of the messenger as well as the message.
I would have like to have seen where the Elijah and Sasha angle would have gone.
Mr. Weber you have created the BEST black crime family EVER!!!!! No other series compares. I'm on pins and needles waiting for the next installments. WELL DONE SIR!
There's not much I can say about this book that wouldn't spoil it for everyone before you get a chance to read it. So I'm gonna say that this was a great read full of action from start to finish so I took my time with it. I didn't take my customary finish a Carl Weber book in a day route. I went through a range of emotions reading it too lol. I figured out some things early on about certain characters. It was good to see the rest of the family. Doesn't seem like Paris will ever change. Daryl being back has me waiting to see what he can really do now that he's no longer "The Man in 3B". Vegas is back!!!!! Now it's time for him to handle his business and y'all will soon find out what I mean........
Definitely not as good as the first two in this series, but overall it was pretty good. It felt a little bit rushed to get towards the ending and honestly I was expecting more of "the return of Vegas" rather than the bits and pieces that it provided. I don't know, overall I'm indifferent but I don't believe it deserves any more than 4 stars, which is disappointing because until now I've really been enjoying this series.
What can I say Carl Weber has done it again. The Duncans are the baddest family in the world of drugs and crime. Don't even think about crossing them and shame on those that do. Just when you think they are down to their last they bounce back and take their enemy's out of the picture. They are a close family who believe in taking care of their business. Moving on to the next book, Grand opening, this is where the life of the Duncans began. Five stars and a thumb up!
Wow. The twists and turns. As I was reading it was like I could see all the action. I love action and this book did not disappoint. Carl and Treasure penned it down. This book had me on pins and needles. Tossing and turning. Shaking my head and shouting. The ending had me. Outstanding. Outstanding. Out. Standing.
This was the Sh×t..... I knew Minister Farah was up to no good. LC is going to get him, I can't wait. I want Paris and Sasha to find real love, I really want Niles to come back for Paris, I hope Sasha finds another man like Elijah to slow her down. Read the series....
This series overall is a GoodRead.....With my first read I thought this was a good series tho I am not fond of all the different writers because you can tell with each book. Tho the characters pretty much remain the same I still since the change in writing style. And add the other four books as prequels to this series just further demonstrates the point. So many wholes in the story and too many notable changes for my liking. And I am not sure how I felt from the first reading of this book but the return of Vegas with such Anticipation was quite a let down. But I am interesting in book 5 so I guess it ain’t all that bad....lol
Get Back to the Good Stuff The Duncans are at it again. Bang, bang, shoot 'em up. Haha.
This was a quick and easy read. However, I don't think Weber will ever be able to engage me the same way he did in the first book. The first book was full unknowns, character introductions and plenty of action. The last two have just been fill ins in my opinion. I love the connection that was made between The Family Business series and The Man in 3B, but I just feel like the series is now missing that little something extra.
I loved Paris in the first book, possibly because she was the wild card. Now, I am a little annoyed by the nympho. Of course, one wasn't enough. Sasha is working my last nerves too.
All in all, I am disappointed with the way Weber left me hanging. Really! What kind of ending was that? Is the Minister still lingering outside waiting to finish off what he started?
Regardless of how it's going down, I can't wait to see this on the big screen! Oh and the ultimate connection to The Choir Director. I know it's coming.
What can I say, Nothing bad of course. Carl Weber will always be one of my all time favorite authors. I have completely fell in love with the Duncan family. So in this book, the prodigal son, Vegas is home and has taken his place with the illegal side of the family business. But Junior is the issue here, as he finds out early in the story that Sonya is still married to the sadistic leader of the Islamic Black Panther Party. And he will not rest until he has killed Junior Duncan and everyone else who stands in the way of him getting his precious Sonya back. Great story and also a quick read. I know there is going to be a book four because we still have not found out about Orlando's baby, Minster Farah still has a sinister plan in motion and Paris cant stay out of trouble. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as I. - Norman LaVelle
This book was action packed... From the beginning to the end! Those Duncan's ain't nothing nice and a force to be reckoned with!!! I could not put this book down!! I was a nervous wreck but I made it to the end without heart failure. Now to patiently wait on part 4! If you are looking for an interesting series to read I suggest you guys get tuned in! These Duncan's are sure to deliver!!
So this was the best book out of the whole series! I loved all the books so far but this one bad me at work dreaming about when I could go home to read it. Carl Weber me ft disappoints, Excellent job to both of the authors.
Despite almost being overdone with religion, this story manages to overcome connections between violence and organized beliefs through its focus on family. 8 of 10 stars
3.5🌟 Those Duncans can get out of anything! This was the third installment and it had me on my toes. So much going on and so many twists that I didn’t see coming. This book took off with Junior having dinner with his girlfriend and her husband’s goons ( yes she’s married ) walks in to warn him to stay away and I won’t give anything else away but trust me when I tell you it gets intense. The suspense was a nice and slow burn for me and it had me switching from my paperback during the day to my kindle at night burning the midnight oil. I recommend you get this series. Starts slow In My opinion but definitely worth it.
LC Duncan and his family, Duncan Motors and "The Family Business" are back to face yet another family crisis, or two! Looking forward to see what happens next -- 5 out of 10.
Book Title: The Family Business 3: The Return of Vegas Author: Carl Weber and Treasure Hernandez Reviewer by: Sandra Atueyi
There is a family. You’re loyal and protect to your family. Whatever you are going through, your family always be there and support for you. I am reading book called The Family Business 3: The Return of Vegas by Carl Weber and Treasure Hernandez. Both authors did a amazing and great job. It’s well written and no grammar error.
Likes:
The Duncan Family always be there and support to each other. They always save and protect to each other lives. Chippy and Vegas are my favorite from Duncan Family because Chippy guves the leading role speech to her family and Vegas is a master mind and he knows what he is doing. Both of them didn’t want their family and workers died from the war.
Sadness
I felt bad what’s happen to LC Duncan and Connie because I cry when LC Duncan get shot from in the middle war and Connie died from cancer. I want to know what causes Connie died from cancer.
Dislikes:
Brother X is a cold heart and evil person. His rats are creeping me out. I understand that Junior Duncan and Sonya Brown are in love to each other but they are playing the dangerous role.
Rates:
I enjoyed reading this book because it’s caught me attention. I like the storyline and well written. It’s a pager turner and well concept. I give 5 stars to authors and book. I am looking forward to read Grand Opening: Family Business A Novel series.
I have little under 75% of this book left to read and I'll admit, Carl Weber redeemed himself. He's brought back the drama from the original book and and sucked me back into the lives of the Duncan family. I can't even begin to conclude how this one is going to end, but I know it ain't close to being over. Damn it seems like the Duncan's are some of the most fertile individuals I've ever read. 'Errbody making a baby and we still are not sure about the paternity of the tots by the "Thots" that we know about. At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if Rio ends up a daddy before the book's end.
For the book to be subtitled 'The Return of Vegas', I feel he doesn't come across as a strong character in the book. As soon as he touches down, he leaves the country to 'handle' some personal business. Despite all the ruckus she raised in book 2, there is no mention of Ruby (I'm sure she's busy on her honeymoon); instead, instead enter Sonya as the thorn in the side of matriarch Chippy Duncan. London, Harris, & Rio all take a backseat to their sibling and the drama they bring. Riddled with kidnappings, arson, shootouts, surprising returns from the dead, & paternity issues that would make Maury cringe, this book has definitely got a lot of explaining to do in book 4.
Well, let me get back to helping these folk figure out how to get back in control and back on top of THE FAMILY BUSINESS.
Stay tuned for the review of the big conclusion.

2nd reading: I read this again 10 years after the first time, and I’m knocking it down a star. The story is interesting and action packed, but there are a couple inconsistencies that leave me scratching my head and saying, “Huh??”
First reading: I love the Duncan family! While no book in The Family Business series has been as great as the first book, this one was still very satisfying.
The story line is good but this edition develops slowly and has some inconsistencies and developments that don't add up. The theme here is be careful who you consider to be your friends. The author does rope you into the next edition based on the ending. So, I guess I will be reading the next one.
I WAS EXPECTING THIS INSTALLMENT-THE ONE THAT STATES: "THE RETURN OF VEGAS"- TO BE THE BEST GIVEN VEGAS DUNCAN WAS HOME. BUT, I WAS SO VERY DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THIS WASN'T THE VEGAS STORYLINE THAT I WAS ANTICIPATING. THE BOOK STARTS OUT WITH JUNIOR WINING & DINING SOMEONE ELSE'S WIFE, RESULTING IN THE BOOK FEATURING JUNIOR & HIS MARRIED NEW GF SONYA MONOPOLIZING WHAT BECAME OF THE BOOK. VEGAS SEEMED LIKE HE WAS FREED FROM PRISON ONLY TO CLEAN UP THE LIVES OF HIS SISTER LONDON & BROTHERS ORLANDO & JUNIOR, WHILE HELPING THE FAMILY COPE WITH THEIR DAD LC DUNCAN'S MEDICAL DILEMMA, WHO HAD MOSTLY BEEN COMATOSED UPON BEING SHOT BY HIS ESCAPED OUT OF AN INSANE ASYLUM BROTHER LARRY DUNCAN. VEGAS FOUND HIMSELF TRYING TO HELP GET HIS BIG HALF BROTHER/COUSIN JUNIOR OUT OF DANGER FROM AN IMPRISONED BROTHER X-HUBBY OF JUNIOR'S NEW GF SONYA WITH THE 'HELP' OF MINISTER FARAH, VEGAS' FORMER INSTRUCTOR AT CHI ACADEMY. MINISTER FARAH PROVED HAD BEEN MORE OF AN ENEMY TO VEGAS, WHO HAD BEEN BLINDED BY MINISTER FARAH'S TRUE AGENDA FOR THE DUNCAN FAMILY. TRUTH BE TOLD, I THOUGHT THAT IT HAD BEEN MINISTER FARAH WHO HAD SHOT LC IN THE SHOWROOM AT THE CAR DEALERSHIP. I WAS SURPRISED WHEN IT HAD BEEN REVEALED IN BOOK 4 THAT LARRY DUNCAN-NOT MINITER FARAH WHO'D SHOT LC. VEGAS & MARIE DEVELOPED A DEEPER RELATIONSHIP-BECOMING ENGAGED- DESPITE HER STILL 'TURNING TRICKS'. WHEN IT HAD BEEN REVEALED THAT THEY WOULDN'T BECOME PARENTS IN GOD'S INTENDED WAY, I THOUGHT: 'GOOD! HE'S AN EX-CON WITH A KILLER PAST & SHE'S A HOE--WHAT TYPE OF PARENTS WOULD THEY BE TO A CHILD?' THEN TREASURE HERNANDEZ DROPPED A TEEN SON NAMED NEVADA ON VEGAS -CONCEIVED WITH CONSUELA, WHO'D HELD THE FAMILY AT GUNPOINT OVER THE DEATH OF HER SON MIGUEL, JUST LAST BOOK TFB2! SASHA DUNCAN, DAUGHTER OF LOU & DONNA DUNCAN, WAS INTRODUCED & APPEARED TO BE A BIGGER HOE THAN HER COUSINS LONDON & PARIS COMBINED! I DID NOT LIKE HER CHARACTER IN THIS INSTALLMENT OR THE FOURTH BOOK EITHER! I FELT THAT ADDING MORE DUNCAN CHARACTERS DOESN'T MAKE THE STORYLINES BETTER, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE CHARACTERS THAT HAD BEEN INTRODUCED & BELOVED IN THE FIRST THREE INSTALLMENTS VEGAS, ORLANDO, & RIO AMONG OTHERS, WERE RELEGATED TO BEING UNDER UTILIZED IN BOOKS 4-6! ORLANDO WAS STILL ESTRANGED FROM THE CHILD HE BELIEVED TO BE HIS: VINCENT JR. DUE TO RUBY 'MARRYING' VINCENT, THE DUNCAN FAM'S ENEMY. DONNA'S CONCERN FOR THE WHEREABOUTS OF JUNIOR MADE IT OFFICAL FOR ME THAT HE WAS MORE TO HER THAN WHAT HAD BEEN PRESENTED. FOR ME, THE TIMELINE OF HOW LC & CHIPPY, A FORMER PROSTITUTE IN HER FORMER LIFE, HAD MET & BEGAN THEIR RELATIONSHIP WHEN HE WAS FIRST ENGAGED TO DONNA SEEMED OFF,MAKING VEGAS MORE LIKELY TO BE THEIR FIRST BORN AS A COUPLE, & JUNIOR BIRTHED BY DONNA! AFTER THE DEATH OF HIS WIFE, DARRYL GRAHAM HAD BEEN BROUGHT BACK FROM THE 'DEAD'TO HELP HIS FRIEND VEGAS PROTECT THE DUNCAN FAM. I DIDN'T KNOW HOW I FELT ABOUT THIS UNTIL HE CAME THROUGH IN THE NICK OF TIME TO SAVE VEGAS FROM BEING SWISS CHEESED FROM A FAILED ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT AFTER HE'D MET WITH MINISTER FARAH, WHO HAD ORCHESTRATED THE ATTACK ON VEGAS! I WS GLAD TO HAVE DARRYL I THE FOLD IN THIS INSTALLMENT, BUT IN BOOKS 4-6, SOMEONE IS WRITING DARRYL TO BE MORE ASSHOLE-ISH, WHICH I HAVE A STRONG DISDAIN FOR THE STORY & THE CHARACTER! WHILE PARIS & SASHA WERE PLANNING AN AMBUSH ON AN OUT-OF-PRISON BROTHER X & HIS ARMY OF MUSLIM MEN, THEY ARE SURPRISED BY AN AMBUSH & AN OFF GETTING SOME D--K SASHA GETS CAPTURED & VERY NEARLY SA-ED BY BROTHER X, ONLY TO BE SAVED & PROTECTED BY BROTHER X'S RIGHTHAND MAN BROTHER ELIJAH ON MANY OCCASIONS UNTIL ELIJAH HAD BEEN SHOT MULTIPLETIMES BY BROTHER X DURING WHAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A PLANNED TRADE OFF VEGAS FOR SASHA. VEGAS & BROTHER X HAD A FIGHT TO THE DEATH ALL SO THAT VEGAS BROTHER JUNIOR COULD MARRY HIS PREGNANT MARRIED GF SIN-YA, I MEAN, SONYA W/O THE OBJECTIONS OF HER HUSBAND DUE TO HIS DEATH. LITTLE MARIAH WITNESSED HER FORMERLY COMATOSED GRANDFATHER LC DUNCAN COME TO REQUESTING "WATER". ALL APPEARS TO BE AS WELL AS CAN BE....IF IT HAD NOT HAD BEEN FOR MINISTER FARAH EYING NEVADA WHO WAS PRACTICING COMBAT MOVES IN THE YARD WITH HIS INSTRUCTOR. I SUSPECT THAT MINISTER FARAH WILL BE WRITTEN TO USE NEVADA AGAINST HIS 'DAD' VEGAS (NO, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT VEGAS IS NEVADA'S DAD! THERE IT IS! I SAID IT OUTLOUD!) IN FUTUREBOOKS. I WOULD HAVE LIKED THIS INSTALLMENT BETTER HAD IT FOCUSED MORE ON VEGAS DUNCAN'S LIFE, & NO, I DON'T MEAN GIVING HIM A TEENAGED 'SON' & A SLUT FOR A FIANCEE. I WANTED TO KNOW MORE ABOUT VEGAS DUNCAN! AND IT APPEARS I WON'T GET WHAT I WANT, ESPECIALLY SINCE MS. LAJILL HUNT SEEMS TO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THE CHARACTERS OF VEGAS & PARIS AS WE KNEW THEM FROM BOOKS 1 & 2! THOUGH I DON'T BELIEVE THIS TO BE TREASURE HERNANDEZ BEST WORK, I FEEL LIKE THIS WAS BETTER THAN WHAT MS. LAJILL HUNT HAS BEEN WRITING FOR THESE CHARACTERS! AT LEAST MS. HERNANDEZ REMEMBER WHICH CHARACTERS ARE WHICH & DID WHAT! MS. HUNT DOES NOT HAVE A CLUE ON WHAT TO DO WITH VEGAS DUNCAN AS PROVEN IN TFB BOOKS 4-6! THIS USED TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE BOOK SERIES.... UNTIL BOOKS 4 THROUGH 6 WERE ....RELEASED! NOW I CAN'T STAND WHAT THIS SERIES TURNED OUT TO BE THANKS TO MS. HUNT'S RE-WRITTEN RECOLLECTIONS OF WHO THE CHARACTERS ARE! THE RETURN OF VEGAS DUNCAN WAS THE LAST TFB BOOK THAT I ENJOYED!
It was okay...it didn't pull me in as much as the others. I listened on audio and the voice of Vegas was NOT what I expected!! Expected him to be a deep strong, deadly voice but instead he sounded more like Rio...flamboyant. That really through me off.
This book had many twists and turns and kept me on the edge of my seat to see what happened next. I enjoyed this book much better than the previous book in the series. The Duncan family is not to be played with.
I read this book in less than 24 hours while traveling over the Easter break. This is another great Family Business novel. My favorite character is Vegas. I am looking forward to the rise of Nevada Duncan.
