Award winning author Anne Kane lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley with a bouncy little rescue mutt(Merlin the Wonder Dog), a slightly larger rescue dog (Lexi the Bouncy) a cantankerous Himalayan cat (Jeff), and too many fish to count. She has two handsome sons and seven adorable grandchildren. She's always been fascinated by science fiction and fantasy so of course when she writes, she lets her imagination take over. The one thing the reader can always count on is that the main characters will live happily ever after, even if they have to defeat a few nasty aliens first.

When she's not busy writing the next great novel, she likes to kayak, hike, ride motorcycles, swim, skate, practice karate, play her guitar, sing and of course, read.

Some romance collections feel disconnected, like separate stories sharing a universe. Stargazers by Anne Kane feels more like constellations — each couple its own light, but together forming one larger picture of adventure, destiny, and belonging.

In this sci-fi world, Stargazers are rare descendants of Earth’s ancient witches, able to sense and harness the energy connecting the stars themselves. That gift makes them invaluable… and dangerous to possess. Governments want them, pirates enslave them, and across the galaxy their power can decide wars, fuel ships, and reveal hidden truths. It’s a creative concept inspired by druidic traditions, and the world-building gives the romance a strong sense of scale and wonder.

Each novella follows a different pairing, blending action with attraction:

Wanton — A cyborg kidnaps a Stargazer to save his brother, only to discover his mission collides with his heart.

Willful — A sheltered royal heir trades luxury for political intrigue and unexpected passion.

Wild — A runaway witch stows away with a hardened bounty hunter who slowly learns she isn’t what he assumed.

Wayward — A twin bargains with a pirate captain to rescue her sister, risking more than she planned.

Sinful — Two determined allies unite to fight pirates and discover how powerful they are together.

What ties the stories together isn’t just the shared universe — it’s the theme of freedom. Every Stargazer begins under someone else’s control or expectation, and every romance becomes part rescue, part partnership. The relationships grow alongside the adventure, balancing danger with connection rather than stopping the plot for it.

The characters are easy to enjoy because each pairing has its own energy: protective heroes, strong heroines, reluctant alliances turning into trust, and attraction forming during high-stakes situations. The pacing keeps the stories moving, while the mythology behind the Stargazers adds depth beyond typical space romance.

If you enjoy:

Space adventure with romance

Magical abilities woven into sci-fi

Multiple couples and viewpoints

Action mixed with emotional connection

By the end, the collection feels less like separate love stories and more like a shared journey — different paths crossing the same universe, each character finding not only safety but someone who sees them as more than a weapon or tool.

⭐ A fun, imaginative blend of space opera and romance where destiny isn’t just foretold — it’s written across the stars.

The five stories in "Stargazers" have all been published separately. Having them in one anthology was terrific. You get a full picture of Anne Kane's worldbuild with this collection. You could read the stories as standalones, but now you don't have to.
The stories are short, with quite the sizzle. Kidnapping, runaways and pirates are the common theme. The FMCs are determined, feisty and perfectly capable to stand up to the hot (Very hot!) MMC's. There's some edge of seat adventuring, and a strong desire to be free in the plotlines.
Fan yourself smexyness. It's a fun ride across the universe. Anne Kane is a new author for me and I can't wait for more.

This anthology of short stories is dual POV, well written and edited, and each stands alone, though they have the same setting. These stories are all erotic sci fi romances between a female human telepath and the male she partners with to achieve her goals. Each story is spicy, with some action, and they’re fast-paced and I really enjoyed reading them; I just wanted them to be longer!

Wow, this was a really good read. I didn't realize that I was getting five in one. My favorite would be the first. I loved the relationship building between Krystal and Tarik, but all of the stories are well-written.
