If you are as big a fan of the "wtf did I just read" subgenre of horror as I am, you need Satanequin in your life.
Lucille is a woman with the lofty dream of becoming a world famous ventriloquist like her dearly departed grandfather. She tries to follow directly in his footsteps by using a mannequin instead a puppet. If that wasn't a big enough ventriloquist handicap, she is also not great at ventriloquism. So she does the only logical thing she can do and makes a deal with the mannequin devil. The story is completely bonkers. The characters are ridiculously silly. The whole thing is hilariously absurd. Super fun read.
A wildly entertaining blend of horror, comedy, and pure absurdity that never misses a beat. Featuring satanic mannequins, human sacrifices, and an unexpectedly charming love story. A bizarre and unforgettable ride from beginning to end. The chemistry between Lucille and Bart adds heart to the chaos, making their journey just as compelling as the madness unfolding around them. Equal parts hilarious, outrageous, and surprisingly heartfelt, this is a book that embraces its insanity and runs with it. An absolute blast from the first page to the last.
