T.J. Swift writes thrillers where the edges are sharp, the stakes are personal, and the truth is never what it seems. His debut, Midnight Burn, fuses noir, AI, and raw emotion into a story about trust, betrayal, and the ghosts we carry.
He builds characters the way he rebuilds machines—bolt by bolt, scar by scar—until they roar to life. When he’s not writing, he’s deep in code, chasing storms, or restoring his '69 Barracuda one wire at a time.
If you're into tech-laced conspiracies, haunted hearts, and stories that hit like a punch and linger like a promise, you’re in the right place.
I was pleased to see the author develop the characters a bit more; to understand the depth of their connection. There was more dialogue and action in this book which made it an easy fast read. It’s exciting to follow along new authors as they grow and develop their art. TJ Swift ‘s books are not just about corruption, and AI; they are about sacrifices that can only be made by selfless love, found family and loyalty : timeless themes that always hit deep.
TJ Swift ended his Spectra Code series with most of his I’s dotted and T’s crossed. We got answers to some questions and character development, too. AI is such a new technology and Swift managed to craft a suspenseful and engaging story about the potentials inherent in it, both good and bad. As always, I appreciated his particular tone and the distinct style of writing he has.

This was a fitting end to the series, quick and relatively easy to read. There are a couple of questions still outstanding for me, but I can live with that. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
