About the author

Finn Carling ble født i Oslo i 1925. Han debuterte i 1949 med enakteren Glasskulen, som samme år ble oppført på Det Nye Teater, og med novellesamlingen Broen.

I 1966–67 var han nestformann i Den norske Forfatterforening. Finn Carling arbeidet også som litteraturkritiker. Bøkene hans er oversatt til mange språk, bl.a. tysk, engelsk, nederlandsk, dansk, svensk, italiensk, tsjekkisk og rumensk.
