Nattie Moreland is a detective. She receives a call from her ex-husband wanting her to help him with a case or two. He was a private eye, until he lost his license with one too many DUIs. She is undecided until he, Nathan, ends up in a mental institution, diagnosed with bipolar disorder and she is dragged into helping him by calling him every night to make sure he takes his meds. In the required meeting with his counselor, he pulls a bag of diamonds from his pants….
I liked the story and it has a good flow. At first I did not understand the reasoning for the story of John, told in red ink throughout the story. By the time I was a couple chapters I didn’t care.
I hope to read more by CS Thompson! I like the style!
