The Occultum are sent on a unusual mission as there are no clues no ships or boats mission to find out how ships of value due to there merchandise .
As the OCCULTUM are more used to land missions Lepidus reveals a secret only known to himself of people who will help them on there mission ,very intriguing story line as the team work together to solve the mystery and find those responsible and why .
Always a good read from this author and great series .

Fantastic!
Another exciting and dangerous mission for the Occultum made even more so by the introduction of their naval special operations counterparts. Together they recon and take an impregnable pirate stronghold in the Eastern Mediterranean. Finished in 3 days.

nonstop entertainment
Always a great read as KM finds new ways to keep our interest motivated. So many great characters and history wrapped up in a whale of a tale. less fighting with more intriguing plots in this book but zero complaints.

As always these books are great. As a miniature wargammer these stories would be great to play on a tabletop.

Slow burner
The scene setting took a while but with each chapter I became more invested in the storylines and the new characters. A good build on previous novels in the series.
