You Woke Up Here Again is a horror romance novel set in the tiny town of Hidden Cove. Jack Hazel comes to town to conduct an audit. But the town has other plans. The same Tuesday greets him again and again, wiping away every trace he leaves – nothing he does leaves a mark, except for things that never should have happened in the first place.
Carla is the only person who seems to remember him, but she is filled with secrets, and he is unsure whether to fully trust her. Something is watching the town. When the dead stop returning at dawn, Jack realises that the rules of the time loop are far from harmless, and something else is trapped here with them.
With the aid of a reluctant hotel manager, Jack must uncover why Hidden Cover refuses to let him go before the loop collapses and takes them all with it.
It is a dark and fast paced mystery. You were pulled in within the first few chapters, immediately gripped by the mystery of what was happening to Jack—was he unravelling mentally, or was the town itself hiding something sinister? The pacing never let up, and once you started, you could not stop reading. Jack felt vivid and compelling, his pain and confusion grounding the story, and even Boris—initially abrasive—became strangely engaging. Carla’s arc was well developed, though you never warmed to her as a person, and her background only reinforced that distance. The writing style’s dark, brooding tone created a slow, creeping dread, while the looping narrative structure cleverly amplified Jack’s disorientation. You would have liked deeper development for Boris and found Ronnie’s portrayal a bit stereotypical for his profession, but overall, the emotional and thematic payoff at the end was satisfying.
I very much enjoyed You Woke Up Here Again. I think it is ideal read for anyone who enjoys atmospheric mysteries with a touch of horror and I am keen to see what the author writes next.
I received an advanced review copy from the publisher; all opinions are my own.

Wow. WOW! This book was an adventure in more ways than one. Man arrives in a small, but very strange, town for work but things keep getting weirder and weirder and he has no one to get help from. At first, I started to get a bit nervous because it seemed like the plot was going to take forever to start getting exciting, but the slow buildup is necessary because once you get to a quarter of the way through, it starts taking off and it’s worth it to hold on for the ride because it’s an incredible one! There were a lot of chapters when I thought I had figured out what was going on, then I got to the next and I had no clue all over again. It keeps you on your toes and the reason is all the twists and turns! By the time I reached the halfway mark, there was no way I was putting this book down. It went wherever I went. One thing I love most about this book is that it left no loose ends. It was so satisfying and I felt like I was letting these characters head off on their way without worrying about what would happen. While Jack can be a really difficult character to warm to and Boris can be very brash, they stay consistent through every difficulty and even surprised me at times. I particularly wished that these characters did not seem to be at the extreme ends of their personalities, especially with Jack, but you will find yourself rooting for him too just like me.
Imagine Groundhog Day… but darker, creepier, and set in a misty coastal town where things keep getting worse. 😅
After a promotion he’s totally unprepared for, Jack Hazel is sent to audit a factory in Hidden Cove — a town tucked between a gloomy beach and a foggy forest. Sounds quaint… until Jack realizes he can’t leave.
Every single day is Tuesday the seventeenth. No one remembers him, nothing carries over from the day before, and the audit he came to complete resets every morning.
If you’ve seen the movie Groundhog Day, this feels like a book version of that concept — except with mystery, danger, and a town that gets more unsettling the longer Jack is stuck there.
The only other person who seems aware of the time loop is Carla — charming, mysterious, and unfortunately the girlfriend of a very dangerous mob boss. As Jack and Carla try to figure out what’s happening, bodies start piling up… and they realize the loop might not reset everything.
This book sucked me in so quickly. The pacing is great, the mystery keeps building, and I found myself turning pages so fast because I had to know what happened next. It’s one of those reads where the tension keeps climbing and the town itself feels like a character.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So dang good.
Thanks @booksirens and @t.towerswrites for the opportunity to be an advanced reader.
Thank you to T Towers and Booksprout for allowing me to be part of the Arc Team and for giving me a free copy of this book.
I always go into Arcs blindly, I pick them based on the cover and the high level descriptive few words. It’s a gamble but it keeps me on my toes and I love it when a book surprises me…. Just like this book did!
When I began I was low-key stressing that I wouldn’t like it…. Not a fan of Groundhog Day I thought my gamble hadn’t paid off this time but boy was I wrong!!
There is so much packed into this book and it is so captivating! Towers has ensured the de-javu aspect doesn’t switch the reader off with introduction of small changes that get the neuron’s firing. The characters are spot on in that they are a brilliant mixture of mysterious and normal. They all bring different dynamics to each adventure, which pulls you in to try and solve the time loop!
It is a strange mixture of mystery, the paranormal, romance and the mafia but it 100% works.
You Woke Up Here by T. Towers is a complex mix of danger, déjà vu, and the paranormal. It is well-written with memorable characters and a tense, twisted plot that grips from the start.
Not knowing what is going on or who to trust, Jack has to make decisions that are out of character but necessary to understand his dilemma and repetitive situation.
Finding himself stuck in Groundhog Day with a difference, he needs allies that comprehend his theories and support his actions as occult practises are tied to the mob.
When the truth is unveiled, the story reaches its climax at breakneck speed, keeping the pages turning and me on the edge of my seat.
It was a deeply disturbing tale that kept me awake in the night.
Highly recommended.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. What a ride…. It's one of those situations where you can’t make this shit up if it were actually happening to you. To be stuck in a time loop is one thing, but to be stuck and essentially hunted is a whole other ballgame. I enjoyed how it got to a point where they were all in it together, looking out for each other because what else could they have done. I LOVED the way it ended, Jack getting his cats back at the end made my heart smile. I look forward to seeing if another book is added to the mix to show what life is like now for the characters.

Full transparency this is a 3.75 rounded up to a 4. In the synopsis (I found it on Amazon) it says this is a good pick for fans of The Twilight Zone and Silent Hill. It definitely gives you those weird creepy WTF vibes of The Twilight Zone but I wasn't really getting Silent Hill...unless that was more with the supernatural aspect. I'm not sure. I feel like this went a little too long and at about 80% I almost DNF'd it but I'm glad I finished it.
At no point in this story did I ever have a single clue what was going on. Which was kind of refreshing and exciting. It took a super common trope and turned it into something unique and I’m here for it.
I’m very curious to see if there is going to be a continuation of this story. I’d love to see how everything plays out!
I really enjoyed this read. The characters were all written so well with distinct and individual personalities. I’d really like to learn more about them and their lives!

This book had me on the edge of my seat and completely enthralled. It was Groundhog's Day meets Stephen King in the BEST possible way! It took me on so many twists and turns that I never knew what was coming next. I loved the little dash of romance and bi rep with Jack. I hope we get more of the story because that ending definitely left me wanting more!!

This book was a pleasant surprise with how well the story was written and how quirky and individual each character felt. I kept expecting there to be a time when I wasn’t thinking about these characters or the story, but that simply never happened. This book was enjoyable from start to finish!
I thank the author and publisher for providing an ARC copy. I leave this review freely and willingly.
