Followed Back by Nicollé Noctis completely caught me off guard in the best way. What starts as a slow, almost methodical build quickly transforms into something intense, addictive, and impossible to put down 🥵. The premise alone is fascinating. A powerful, enigmatic man living a double life online and off, and the blurred lines between connection, control, and identity. Something I can relate to. The writing is sharp and immersive, pulling you deeper with every chapter. The pacing in the beginning takes its time, letting you settle into the characters and their world, but once it picks up, it really picks up. From that point on, it’s a whirlwind of tension, emotion, and twists that keep you hooked. Without giving too much away, this book explores darker themes in a way that feels gripping rather than gratuitous, and the psychological layers between the characters add so much depth to the story. It’s the kind of book that leaves you thinking long after you’ve finished. If you like dark romance with a suspenseful edge and morally complex characters, this one is absolutely worth the read. I am IMPATIENTLY refreshing my screen awaiting the announcement of part 2 😑🥰
There’s just something about a spicy thriller mystery that gets me every time. Nova is a very cute and like-able character. She does live in pink and glitter fairytale land so her naïveté makes you wanna shake her sometimes. The girl has multiple stalkers AND won’t listen to gut feelings? Ugh come on girl! Eli may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I genuinely enjoyed reading about his and Nova’s friendship. There is so much love there. Now, Adrian. 😮💨 love me a dark and bloody man with slight stalker tendencies. The authors style of writing is really incredible. It’s so detailed without being overwhelming or repetitive. She does a great job of shattering the illusion of internet safety. Many of our lives are so open and available to anyone and everyone. And we make it that way in our false sense of security that we are ‘just another face in a sea of millions’. This story is a perfect example of how what you share tells people everything they need to know about you. I can’t wait for part 3 to come out!!

I really enjoyed this book. It starts off slow. She has a crush on a Instagram famous guy. He doesn't follow anyone but starts following her and couple others. Posts start popping up on his page, mirroring hers. The story goes on from there. Its in two parts on KU so im reading the 2nd part now!! Definitely need to finish this part and go straight into the next because it ends on a cliffhanger.
This book explores themes of autonomy, control, and the illusion of anonymity in an increasingly transparent digital world. Full of twists, turns, and romance, this debut novel is a must-read for fans of mystery and psychological thrillers.
I can’t wait to sink my teeth in to part two. I’d suggest anyone who likes unhinged, broody but soft-only-for-her MMC to give this one a try. You won’t regret it.
This was a quick, easy read because it was hard to put down. I feel like Nova's careless, clueless side is me lol. The cliffhanger makes me so glad I started this after Book 2 was written!
Once I started reading this, I couldn’t put it down. I thought I had everything figured out and then WHAM .. plot twist. I need the next book like YESTERDAY!!!!
