Why was the mc so….stupid 💀 like girl PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER. LEARN TO STAND UP FOR YOURSELF. You’re literally on the run after your family was assassinated, and this was SO INTERESTING but instead the whole plot is you chasing after a guy that only wants you for sex and rejects everything emotional. This is so….eughhhh

As I continue on with my steamship journey I picked this up because I found the cover to be breathtakingly beautiful and to no surprise this is filled with gorgeous art. Just the female and male lead alone are beautifully drawn. As for the story well it’s filled with cliches. Does that mean it’s bad? No. It just means it’s easily predictable. I think it’s fairly obvious that the male lead is more than he is saying but I will be continuing with on with this series. I’d recommend if you like beautiful art and romance.

Puh jaaa… also, ich weiß auch nicht so genau.. einerseits ist die Grundthematik ganz interessant, das Artwork sehr detailliert und schön anzugucken, aber der Verlauf und die Charaktere sind (bisher noch) nicht so gut gelungen. Bisher fühle ich wenig Verbindung oder Tiefe bei ihnen - sie sind noch recht unnahbar, man weiß nicht nicht viel über sie und mir wirkt alles etwas zu schnell - das Zeitgefühl ist für mich nicht so greifbar und es fühlt sich mehr nach wollen an, als nach gut können. Versteht ihr, was ich meine? 😬 Es wirkt auch manches etwas widersprüchlich und daher etwas wenig glaubwürdig an einigen Stellen.. Man trifft hier jedenfalls auf Fantasy & Romance mit Smut-Anteilen. Aber sie wirken etwas random - zumindest kam für mich kein richtiges Feeling dabei auf. Sehr schwierig zu beschreiben 🫣 die Story wird in 3 Bänden beendet.. bin jedenfalls neugierig, wie es sich entwickelt und ob es noch eine andere Wendung gibt maybe, dass der Plot und die Charaktere mehr Tiefgang bekommen und so.

Winter Wolf starts like how many Manhwa's do, with the shock value of a scene that happens later to draw you in and intrigue you.

Then the opening plot comes, and it keeps you because you're curious how the characters came to be in this situation.

But then this one loses its goal by throwing any prior information you were going to learn, of characters dead or alive, emotions the FMC had to people in her past, or the cause for her run away activities, out into the snow and forces a quick love romance that leaves you a bit baffled.

I'll keep reading because the series is done and I want to know how it ends, but other than the art being nice, it's not that strong of a story at all.

Nah, this made me angry. Tell me how these two barley new each other. This women opens up to this man about her PTSD nightmares about being almost SA’d and his response to overwrite that is by her letting him sleep with her. Even if he started off by saying “stop me if you don’t want this”, she didn’t even look like she enjoyed it or wanted any of it and was uncomfortable. He didn’t even seem kind the whole beginning before this. Didn’t see any type of connection. Just nah. I promise went in open minded. And this legit pissed me off.

I didn't realize what this was when I picked it up. That's on me. I thought it was a beautifully illustrated romance webcomic. It's actually very explicit and starts off with page 1 rape/noncon between the leads. I wish there was a review stating the contents before I picked it up so I could have made an informed decision, and now there is.

So I was drawn in by the art and even though I called the "plot twist" right away, because I wanted to know was I right- I kept reading. And yes, yes I was right. But I allowed myself to follow at the writer's pace and just enjoyed the ride. Romantasy thriller, cute and would read again.
