This was the last of the novella's in the Seductive Night series that I downloaded from Amazon. Each of these stories is a prequel to the full length novels in the series. My guess is this was designed as a teaser to generate interest for the series.
It is hard to come up with some comments on such a short novella. What I can say is that perhaps this story more than the others was definitely a tease. Two best friends who hook up with some steamy scenes in the span of a 44 pages story? Not really enough to offer anything but the possibility of numerous story lines in the full length novel.
What I can say is that if you are not a fan of erotica do not read this story. There are definitely scenes that could make the timid squirm. Although not typically the genre I would gravitate towards I found myself entertained. My curiosity is peaked for the more in depth stories in this series

This teaser is lesson one... and it was deliciously hot! Lauren Blakely never disappoints... :) I think they are going to learn more about each other than they signed up for... much more... Can't wait to finish the rest of the book!

Seriously hot introduction to the story! Nate and Casey are both fantastic and I like how they're friends first. Love that connection they share because of their friendship and the playfulness they have with one another. The two of them together are super steamy, I mean oh my GAWD all the sensual and sexy and wow! I'm extremely excited where this is all going to go. Can't wait for more!!!

Wow! I always forget when I'm reading a Lauren Blakely novella that it's a novella. Getting to that last word and then nothing is always a bit of shock.
Friends-to-lovers romances is one of my top favorite romance tropes so I was excited for Casey and Nate to hook up. Casey cracked me up in Nights with Him (Seductive Nights #4) as the sister and business partner of Jack, the owner of Joy Delivered, their thriving sex toy company. Now it's a year and half later after Jack has stepped down from his position of CEO and Casey has taken over running the company. She flies to New Orleans to lock down a business venture with Grant Abbott, a lingerie magnate with boutiques worldwide. Nate, the CEO of The Luxe line of luxury hotels and Jack's best friend has also been friends with Casey for years since his divorce. Nate arranges for Casey to fly in on his company's Gulfstream jet and books her stay at his hotel, and the two met up pre- and post meeting while she is in town of course.
I love that Casey knows what she wants in and outside of the bedroom. Unfortunately for her, the men that she has dated in the past couldn't appreciate that about her. One former boyfriend actually labeled her an alpha shaking her relationship confidence and reaffirming her disastrous dating track record.
Grant agrees to their business partnership and also lets Casey know that he is most definitely attracted to her but expects to be in control outside of their business partnership. Casey has always found the slightly older man very attractive and wonders if she can change her modus operandi in time for their date in one month's time. She decides to ask her attractive, serial dating friend, Nate to teach her how to be more submissive. Nate was initially shocked by Casey's proposal for a no strings attached affair focused on 'tutoring' her with 'lessons in submission.'
But he quickly accepts her proposal, realizing that this would be the perfect opportunity to get Casey out of his system without damaging their friendship. Things heat up quickly between this pair, and they have a hot turn on the dance floor before continuing the lessons in submission in Nate's luxurious hotel room. The novella ended with a bang, leaving me eager to find out what happens next in Forbidden Nights (Seductive Nights # 5) available now.

I was determined to stop buying these quick little novellas that lead to 3/4 books before you get to the end.
The trouble is I can't resist Lauren Blakely. I'm addicted to Blakely boys. You know exactly what you will get from Lauren's sexy little books. Gorgeous men, gorgeous girls, hot panting, wet knickers, a damn good shagging.
Long time friends, Nate and Casey - can he teach her how to let go, how to give control to a man without it ruining their friendship?

Nate has had the hots for Casey for years . But, he didn't want to ruin their friendship. He had changed his plans to check the hotel (he is CEO of the chain) in NOLA so that he could meet up with her. She was here to meet the owner of a lingerie conglomerate, Grant Abbott. This is who she had a crush on. Casey is now the CEO of "Joy Delivered" a sex toy company. She felt Grant's company and hers had synergy. She had great luck in business, but not so much in relationships. She was one of her best customers.
Nate had given her a flight on his company's private jet, met her in a limo and compted her the penthouse suite at his hotel. He had made reservations for a celebratory dinner after her meeting with G. Abbott. Grant approved of her deal and let her know he wanted to deal with her personally. Giving her flirty looks. She noticed his glass was empty and flagged the bartender for another round. Turning back to Grant she sees his flirty look is replaced with a type of ire. He lets her know that he likes to do the "ordering." She saw that he wanted a demure woman and she didn't know how to be that person. They were to meet up again in July when he returned to the states. He told her he wanted to pursue her.
So at dinner, she asked Nate to feed her dessert. She moaned as she ate the chocolate cake. He wanted to know if she loved being fed that much. Her answer was that she HATED to be fed. She finally confessed that she liked Abbott, but she didn't know how to be submissive. So, she asked him to teach her. And teach her, he did. LOL

4.5 stars Nate and Casey. This is a prequel novella short leading into the next full length novel in the Seductive Nights series. Appears to be a friends to lovers story, as well as the teach me, since we're friends and have no romantic feelings for each other it will be okay trope. Casey is interested in a man, but doesn't think he'll stick with her because she's too aggressive. She wants her best friend Nate (who actually likes her as more than friends) to teach her how to be more submissive in a relationship. This prequel shows a lot of promise for the full length book. I liked both characters and the way they behaved with each other. If the sex scenes to come compare to the one in this story, the next book should be hotty hot and dirty. A side note: I know the author probably has little to no control over the cover art, but since Casey was mentioned as being a blond multiple times, it would be nice to see the cover model as a blond and not brunette.

He's lusted after her for years and then she asks him to give her lessons? On how to not be in control? Oh geez! He's not stupid! But what happens after? Can they be just as good as friends as they are now?? He shoves all those questions aside for another day, and says Yes-the lessons start now!! This teaser is shaping up to be just as awesome as the rest of the books in Lauren Blakely's Seductive Nights Series! Nate and Casey are blistering on the pages! You will need a cool drink for this one! I can't wait for the rest!!

Fabulously HOT intoduction to Nate & Casey's story. Friends to lovers is one of my favorite types of romance stories. This one has a sexy twist that is sure to spark your interest and leave you begging for the rest of the story.

This is a little tiny read about Nate and Casey. Casey has taken over the business since her brother moved to Paris and left the business to her. She is powerful and in charge. But she is having trouble in the romance dept because she is too controlling. Nate is one of Casey's best friends and her brother Jack's friend as well. He has been fantasizing about Casey but he isn't into relationships since his wife cheated on him. Hot steamy little read- can't wait for more

Once again, Lauren has created a hot, naughty, and wonderful man. Nate is downright fabulous. I really liked Casey as a heroine. She knows what she wants and sets out to get it. She’s a good strong woman. Nate and Casey are great together and I can’t wait to see how their story plays out. I am so excited for this! Come on February!

Although this short story is clearly meant as a teaser for the upcoming novel, it was enough to leave me satisfied, especially since I have some previous familiarity with the characters.
