The second (so far) of three post-trilogy short stories, Solace makes good on Gallow's promise to Oribas to reforge the plates of armour left behind by The Eyes of Time and then bury them at sea forever. It's not going to be that easy however, because The Eyes of Time wants the iron back, and all Gallow has on his side is a Vathen woman with a very good sword...

Again, this short story is excellently paced, a good mix of talk and action as Hawke [Stephen Deas] ties up some of the loose ends from the main trilogy.

A short blast of Viking inspired fantasy action. A bit talkies than I expected though it doesn't skimp on the action when it does kick off. Wraps up the loose threads left over from the original trilogy well.
