First, it’s a lot to take in if you grew up without exposure to the knowledge of Enoch, let alone the actual Book of Enoch. Second, the idea of a man being so highly favored that he walked with God is mind‑blowing. Third, God took a living being up to be with him, wow! Personally, seeing a humbled servant speak directly to angels who willfully chose sin (flesh) over the kingdom was encouraging, because spiritual callings are always bigger than the person called.
Enoch was a visionary prophet, but he also became:
• A scribe who records the deeds of the Watchers
• An intercessor who carries messages between angels and God
• A witness to divine judgment
• A traveler through the heavens and to the ends of the earth
• A revealer of cosmic secrets
Only God knows whom He will choose and how He will assign our callings, as Enoch’s story demonstrates. Divine assignments can defy human logic.
The book’s format is organized with detailed sections to support deeper understanding:

• Cultural Background
• Jewish Tradition
• Cosmic Framework
• Textual Notes
I didn’t find any one section more valuable than another; each contributed something essential to the overall context. Additionally, I recommend reading this book before delving into the actual Book of Enoch.
