Set between the 19th and early 20th centuries, Angelo tells the story of two young lives bound by unspoken love. On one side, an unabashed defiance of rigid discipline and inherited expectations. On the other, a legacy forged through oppression, resilience, and hard-won purpose. When these opposing currents meet, love emerges - not as an escape, but as a force that dares to challenge the world.
A very pleasant read that I am glad to have found. I appreciate how detailed the author was in setting the tone and the scenes; making it easy for the reader to picture. I was not expecting there to be a twist towards the ending, and glad that all the stories had been tied up nicely. Well done to this authors first book and looking forward to what’s to come.
