It was a sweet book. (Possible spoilers ahead) It does have spice, but it was on the mild side (I read a lot of dark romance, so my meter may be damaged) Both MCs are likable and they both act their age.

The drama or conflicts are very relatable and legit sounding. I did appreciate that. H already has a 12 year old daughter by his cheating, ex-wife. The ex is kind of a deadbeat, she’s always bailing on the kid to do other things. The ex is not important in this book. H raises the kid. He got divorced 3 years prior, and has been celibate since his divorce.
(It never really mentions h’s past smex life) H is a grumpy green flag. h is just a really nice person.

H and h grew up together. H is BFF with h’s brother. h is a physical therapist for the hockey team. H is badly injured and she works with him on his recovery. She’s sunshine- he’s a grump. I’d say by 30%, they have smex. Then, H pulls away from her. It is resolved quickly because they finally do actually discuss things like adults 🙃 He became worried about destroying her job. And his relationship with her brother. And his relationship with his daughter.

The other bit of drama was the 12 yr old being a little unhappy when she finds out about H and h. It takes her a few days, but she comes around. I liked the kid and dad discussion they had. I liked how the plot was relatable. It made sense to me, that a 12 year old tween would be all in her feelings about her dad being in a new relationship. 🤷‍♀️

Then the BFF brother finding out- not a big deal. Yeah, he was a little shocked, but he didn’t act all super weird over his sister’s smex life.

I thought for sure the surprise pregnancy would cause a 3rd act breakup, but it didn’t. He was surprised, but he was totally on board because he loved her.

I thought the epilogues were nicely done. Twins born, then 18 months later, a wedding.

Now…. there were a few things that I didn’t care for.
1. I thought this book was way too long. My kindle said this was 576 pages or over an 11 hours read.

2. If you like books that go into a lot of details about hockey, then you’ll probably like this. There were a lot of parts I skimmed over when they played hockey.

3. If you like books that go into a lot of details about physical therapy and muscles, then you’ll probably like this.
I considered it way too much filler. I’d say these two subjects (play-by-plays of hockey and physical therapy) has to account for at least 35% of this book.

4. You always felt this build up to major drama, but there never really was. I can’t say that is exactly a negative, it’s just something that stood out to me. Everything just fell into place perfectly. 😉

I probably will forget this whole book within a couple of days. It’s not terrible, it’s just something I wouldn’t read again.

He’s my brother’s best friend.
The grumpy NHL captain who put twins in me.

I move back to Colorado for my dream job—
The Ice Foxes’ new physical therapist.

Of course, my first patient is Declan.
My brother’s best friend. Sexy single dad. Captain Scowl.
Now I’m stuck with him for ten weeks of rehab.

He fights every exercise like I’m the enemy.
I fight back with sunshine and a smile.

He refuses to listen.
I refuse to back down.
And somehow that turns into trust.

He’s grumpy, gorgeous, and so off-limits—
It should come with caution tape.

Every day, the chemistry between us gets harder to ignore.
Seeing him with his daughter cracks my defenses even more.

One busted pipe later, he’s in my kitchen.
One kiss later, he’s in my bed.

We have to keep it quiet.
I’m falling hard for him.
And I have no idea how my brother will take it.

But our relationship isn’t the only secret I’m carrying.
Declan’s about to be a dad again… times two.

This contemporary brother's best friend enemies-to-lovers single dad opposite attract hockey romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building in Colorado and characters who are resilient, captivating, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with twins for my pucking grump, explicit romance that is consumed by steamy, sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings to leave readers breathless and begging for more, humor, chaos/drama, heartfelt enotions/emotional depth, no cheating, no cliffhangers, steamy enjoyment, HEA guaranteed, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with twins for my pucking grump and an explicit brother's best friend enemies-to-lovers opposite attract romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wildly lustful, emotional, and unforgettable.

This was a grumpy-sunshine love story. I loved every minute of it. Ms. Landon gave readers a good foundation for the main characters. Readers are able to get to know and like them individually and later together. Charlotte Blake was starting her new career as a physical therapist for a hockey team. Not just any hockey team. The hockey team that Charlotte's brother was the assistant coach and his best friend was the captain. Charlotte had grown up with them. Learned to love hockey as much as they did. Charlotte was always there, in the middle of everything.

Declan Tremayne did not even know Charlotte was on the Ice Foxes staff until he hurt his knee in a game. This injury would put him out of commission for 10 weeks and under the direct supervision of Charlotte handling his physical therapy. Charlotte was no longer the little girl that followed Declan and her brother around the rink. Both of them were different. Declan had a teenaged daughter, Sophie, that he was the primary caregiver. He had put his personal life on hold to focus on her care. It was him and Sophie against the world. Charlotte became someone he could talk to about his problems. She provided a listening ear without judgement. Everything he didn't know that he needed.

Things progressed slowly. The grump was smiling more. Grown up Declan and Charlotte were just right for each other. Now the question is how will their families react. Declan has Sophie to think about. In his life, she will always come first. Will there be happy ending for this couple or will they have to continue their relationship in secret?

This is a fun, steamy, heartfelt second chance at love and found family romance.

Charlotte is back in town as part of the PT for the local hockey team. She is happy to be back in town, reconnect with family and friends, and to be part of the town where she grew up. Her brother is part of the coaching staff for the team, and upon arrival, his best friend, Declan - the captain of the team- suffers an injury and she will be in charge of his therapy. He is a grumpy single father who struggles to make his daughter, Sophie, happy and fill the empty space her mother leaves with each dismissal. HE wants to go back to the game, but there are 10 weeks of rehab before that happens. What comes next is an organic relationship that is born from understanding, respect, trust, and an attraction that shocks them both. THe familiarity with they conduct their conversations fills them both with insights and a new found respect for each other. As she sees his hunger in and out of the rink, he sees her efficiency and softness; when his daughter meets her and she is lights up at her, he starts to see her in a new light and he opens further with her until passion takes over.
THe fact that she is off-limits and also works with him puts a stop to being with each other openly, but they restrain themselves while at work, but carry a silent relationship in silence. But as the date for his last examination looms closer, she finds out she is pregnant. Will be happy to have to relive his past once agan?
A great read !!!

Arc Review

Jackson Hart - school crush. Hockey player. Father of 2 children.

Ava - runaway bride. -: cheated upon
Wedding day runaway
Controlled
Fiasco
New beginnings that never died.

A crush never extinguished. Jackson was always her protector @ school. Seems he still wants to protect. Why does the cheater always find a way to still immobilise their victim? Money, power and vengeance always appeal to the victor.

When does “fake” always become a reality? Is it simply the new age of easing into a relationship?

A serene read. Beautiful and wonderful. Yes, HEA as expected, but as usual it’s what’s in between that needs reading.

A childhood love turned into reality.

Charlotte has worked hard to fulfill her career dreams as a physical therapist, and now she is back in her hometown working for the NHL team. Her first patient is none other than her brother's best friend and the one she grew up tagging along behind, Declan. As the captain of the team, his injury couldn't have come at a worse time. Never one to think he needs help, he doesn't like it when he realizes who has been assigned as his PT. Charlotte is calm and sunshine compared to his stubborn and grumpy. Things gradually change between them, and they get to know each other as adults. As they grow closer, will it mean the end of her career if their relationship becomes public? How will her brother, the team, and his daughter handle this new development?

Thanks to the author for sending me an advance copy of this book. I am leaving an honest, voluntary review.

Charlotte is back in her hometown working as a physical therapist for a professional hockey team. Her brother is the assistant coach, and his best friend is the team captain. Her first day Declan ends up injured and is brought into be treated. Sparks fly between her and Declan even as they fight their attraction. Charlotte ends up working on his physical therapy to get him healed and back on the team to play. During this time, they grow close and she became close to his daughter as well. Soon things heat up and both try to keep it a secret. Yet they aren't careful enough and soon someone knows. Will things end between them? Can they still be together with her working there?

This is an amazing story that will draw you in from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Charlotte and Declan had known each other for years but she was just his best friend’s little sister until she went to college. They eventually reconnect when she is hired as the physical therapist for Declan’s hockey team and they have to work together to rehab his injury. I really like stories where people are living relatively normal lives (albeit Declan is a professional athlete) and facing normal problems and making the best decisions they can. Both Charlotte and Declan were great. Dedicated, hard working, thoughtful, KIND, responsible. They did their best and it was so satisfying that everything worked out. A lovely story with ups and downs and all the feels!

Declan and Charlotte’s story was such a good one. Charlotte is the new PT for the Ice Foxes, and just happens to be the assistant coach’s sister… and the captain’s future problem 😏 When Declan gets injured, Charlotte is put in charge of his rehab, which means lots of forced proximity with the team’s resident grump.

Charlotte’s sunshine personality is exactly what Declan — and his sweet 12-year-old daughter — need in their lives. Watching her slowly break down his walls was so satisfying. Of course, a few obstacles stand in their way, but the journey to their HEA was worth it. This was a fun, heartfelt grumpy/sunshine hockey romance with found-family vibes that I really enjoyed.

This is a great read and I so enjoyed it by Lexi Landon. Charlotte is able to return to her hometown as a PT for her brother's hockey team. Her brother's is the assistant coach and his best friend, Declan is the captain of the team and her secret crush. Declan suffers an injury and it's Charlotte's job to rehab him. The two find an easy conversation, easy to be around, and Declan's daughter loves Charlotte. They can't "be" together because of team dynamics so they have a quiet, sweet, romance secretly. They totally are falling for each other when Charlotte finds out that she's pregnant. Will Declan want to be a part of her and the babies lives?

This is such a well written and charming story. Mind you, there’s plenty of heat, but it’s a heartwarming story centered around family and forever love. Oh, and there’s great hockey and all the wonderfulness of the boy aquarium. Declan and Charlotte are a precious couple. Having known each other since childhood, and Declan being her brother’s best friend, they cross paths years later and sparks fly. A dynamic couple, laugh out loud banter, and a solid story line makes this a fabulous read.
Lexi Landon is one of my favorite authors. Her hockey romances are simply the best!

This was awesome story. It was a page turner, and the suspense was so intense of the heat and passion. I was on the edge of my seat, and I couldn't even put it down. This book cover was so captivating and eye catching. They have a sexual connection, and they couldn't fight temptation and this romance was forbidden but the desire for her he couldn't fight that moment as he knows this one night that she will never forget. These two characters were too steamy hot of passion.
I highly recommend this book, and you won't be disappointed. I received advance copy of this book via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Trina Jones

- Brother's best friend
- Single father
- Hockey romance
- Grumpy/sunshine
- Workplace romance
- Close proximity
- Unplanned pregnancy

I do enjoy a grumpy MMC. Not sure what it is about those surly men, but I ALWAYS pick up any book with a grump.

This book also includes one of my new favorites - brother's best friend. Adding to the secrecy of their feelings is the fact that they work together.

The chemistry between these two is electric! I really enjoyed this book.

“Twins for My Pucking Grump” by Lexi Landon

-Charlotte and Declan reconnect years later when she becomes the physical therapist for his hockey team, and the sparks fly fast. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.

Both characters feel grounded, kind, and hardworking, dealing with real-life challenges alongside the romance. With grumpy/sunshine vibes, strong family themes, plenty of heat, and lots of heart, this is a charming, feel-good hockey romance.

Charlotte is Declan's best friends little sister. She went to college and becomes the team's PT for the trainers. She is very good at her job and has to give Declan 10 weeks of physical therapy so he can get back on the ice and lead his team to the playoffs. They get close and he kisses her. Should they go one? Should she stop him? They both could loose their jobs but what is love? Declan's duagher is Charlotte's brother's daughter partner in crime. What could go wrong?

I jumped into this book thinking I knew exactly what I was getting but found the storyline, whilst predictable, as the genre usuallyis, was quite sweet. I do think it could have used more build up and the brother/best friend was like, cool, you're sleeping with my sister and no real issue. Anyway, it was a 3.5 star read for me, because I did enjoy the actual storyline.

Well written story and well developed characters.
She was the new team physical therapist.
He was her bother's best friend and totally off limits. As well as being a parent.
He always picked on her before and she had a huge crush on him. But he crushed her. Now he's injured and under her care. Must keep it professional. Could she?

Charlotte and Declan's Story

This is a sweet love story about a Captain of a NHL team and a physical therapist who helps him heal physically and emotionally from an injury in his knee.
Charlotte has known Declan since childhood as Declan is her brother's best friend
The book is a bit long at nearly 600 pages but it is a quick read with a HEA ending.
