I love a good meet cute, and Marek and Nikki’s is pretty great. I love that it centers around hockey. I also love a man that falls hard and fast…I am pretty sure that Marek was half in love with her before they even kissed. Marek definitely likes everyone to think that he is a ladies man and has no interest in love or forever- he is looking for his person. The one that feels himself with. Marek doesn’t want others to see what a giant heart he has but he is a good friend.
While on tour tragedy strikes and Nikki finds herself home in New York. But she is not herself, and she needs people surrounding her. But she doesn’t know how to ask. I love that Marek just shows up for her, and keeps showing up. Nikki is so hard on herself and is in a really dark place. Marek meets her where she is at and pushes her little by little. Although it is hard Nikki also works on herself really reflecting inward and doing some really hard work and having difficult conversations with those she loves. While most people would think that Nikki is full of confidence, which is an area that she struggles with, Marek continues to show her just how amazing she is outside of her beauty and her music.
These two really are connected on a very deep level, they know each other's strengths but also some of their deepest truths and fears. While these two had amazing chemistry between the sheets, and man did they struggle to keep their hands off one another it is their friendship and emotional connection that really had me cheering them on. Nikki and Marek have a very hard earned HEA and I am so grateful I got to go along that journey with them! This was another amazing read by Kelly and I can’t wait for more!

There’s a beautiful moment where you find a book that just truly resonates with you and causes you to have a moment with something you hadn’t planned on taking time with that day.
This book was it.
On Thin Ice is the third installment in the New Jersey Storm series and it has everything you would expect. Hot guys, hockey, drama and a good dollop of spice thrown in for good measure.
And this book hit the mark for all of those things – all were well written and made for good reading.
But for me – it was the other moments in the book that really stuck a chord, which made this book so beautiful. Nikki’s vulnerability and how she was dealing with the fall out from the Berlin concert and how she was then questioning her life and direction and music.
It really struck a chord and I did have a good sob near the end of the book. Not for the romance (which was super sweet) but for her. For what she learnt during this story and what it reminded me of. I really could relate to her struggles and this book gave me things to think about. Perfection isn’t about being perfect.
Loved every moment of this book.

Problem is everyday he spends with her has him falling more in love but she still believes she is not worthy his feelings so will he let her walk away again.
I loved everything about this book, I fell hard and fast for Marek and my heart broke for Nikki but it was watching them both show their vulnerability as they grew stronger together that took this book to the next level.

The tension, the slow burn, the angst and the characters all made for yet another amazing book with so many emotions lacing through it, by talented author Kelly Jamieson.
I absolutely love this series, it is one of my favourites.

Jamieson scores again with this heartfelt and steamy hockey romance! Marek is the ultimate book boyfriend—protective and swoony. Nicki's resilience is inspiring. Their chemistry is off the charts, making this a perfect, feel-good escape. Loved it

This is the BEST way I can sum up this book. It opens with a punch, hot and heavy from whistle to whistle. And normally when there's spice early on, I'm leery. I mean, how often does a situationship end up being real?
And yet, Kelly gives us exactly that.
I'm not kidding. The steam fades and suddenly we're thrust into a world that's familiar and shockingly new. I love the way we tucked away from the world as we become invested in Marek and Nikki's relationship. I started it last night, thinking I'd just read a bit. Welp, that was silly of me, because suddenly it's 3am and I'm *ALL IN*-- kinda like Marek, to be honest.
If you like your spice spicy and the feelings real, You're going to want to read this one.
