Much like previous volumes, although this time Ivy isn't as much the centre of the trouble, and more of an observer although her tamed companions and wild friends do come in handy. We do get a bit of world building in which at least some of the world's oddities are called out upon by Ivy which do help with some of my concerns in that regard. And as always, the short chapters require some time getting used to and I find both Ivy and Druid a bit too forgetful. They really need some kind of note book. Regardless, great characters and decent plot do make for an entertaining read.

ugh, now I have to wait until the next one comes out....

A new mystery presents itself when the gang discovers a hidden village.

And the story about the guild master and his monster companion was so sad...
The snakes get all the credit on this one.

Genre: adventure, magic, slice of life, cute monster companions.
No romance (main lead is 9yo)
POV: multiple (though most of the story is from MC's pov)
Tropes: memories of past life, living in the woods, hunting, magical world, slice of life.
CW: mentions of past wars, past death of secondary characters.

A good recovery from the last story arc, but..

They smiled SHEEPISHLY!
Dear Seven Seas translators,
Can we please get some adverbs here?
Let me introduce you to School House Rock and a thesaurus.
Also, people can look at each other and not smile as they convey an emotion.

For example, I’m looking at you judgmentally, not smiling as I do it.
