Hi, I'm Amethyst Winters, lover of stories that will raise my blood pressure and Golden Girls. Seriously, I've watched every episode over a dozen times. I'm probably watching it now.
I write because it brings me peace and comfort. Nothing makes me happier (besides my family, of course. I have to say that.) than bringing a story to life.
Why do I write Dark Romance? I actually love thrillers, and I love love. To me, Dark Romance is the perfect combination of my two loves: thriller and romance. I also write Dark Romance because I believe in broken people finding each other. Also, don't you just love how the MMC is completely devoted to her? How, no matter how corrupt he is, when it comes to her, he becomes soft like a marshmallow?
Favorite shows and book inspirations? You, Dexter, Behind Her Eyes, anything M. Night Shyamalan, From, Wayward Pines, Golden Girls, 227, Amen, The Jeffersons, all those classic 80s sitcoms.
My books can get very dark and triggering to some, but if you can handle any of my favorite shows plus extra spice, you should be okay. Check those trigger warnings on my website anyway.
This book 🤌 This final book in the trilogy was the perfect wrap up for all of the MCs. So happy that Micah finally gets his HEA, was it a conventional HEA? No but a HEA regardless.
Follow Ari, Remy and Micah through the final steps of severing ties from the sadistic and deranged holds that Remy and Micah's parents still hold on them. When you least expect it and from the person you never would've thought, love creeps in.
While this is the longest book in the trilogy, it is by far the best one. Such a good read! Be sure to check the trigger warnings and read with caution but do not miss out on this trilogy ❤️
I have been invested in this series since the beginning. And this one does not disappoint. It amps up those twists and turns. And the narrative is well drawn out. Loved the main characters in this. I also liked that all the characters from the previous stories came together in this finale, leading up to an epic ending. There's so much to unravel with revelations that may shock you. Overall, this dark romance was incredible. Absolutely devoured this final piece of the narrative. It brought everything full circle and tied everything up nicely.
That was beautiful but also has me like what did I read? Is it really over? Like no but yes but ok I’ll be doing a re-read at some point because the way everything just tied together and just yes must read
What a ride!! I received my copy of Carnal as an ARC and honestly loved every dark, twisty second of it!! The spice doesn’t let up here, and if you’re ready to get into Carnal then you’re probably already expecting it!! The story however is much, MUCH, darker!! Don’t read this one if you’re squeamish! This is a raw, unfiltered, bloody ending to a wild story full of morally grey men, vicious women and intense desires!!! This book gives unhinged dark romance!!!
This is book 3 of the Unhinged Love Trilogy. These characters are so intense! Sabine is a beast. Remy also has issues. They all have their issues and that’s why we like them. This story is darker than the first two. It was great how Amethyst Winters tied all the stories up together by the end.
This was a great wrap up to the trilogy! Micah has been one of my favorites and it was great to read his story and for him to get his happily ever after after all the crap he went through. sabine was an absolute badass and the bad to Micah's goood
DNF @ 54% -- The first two in this trilogy, I could stay engaged with. This third one I couldn't. There were so many moving parts and scenes that were very dark.
The Unhinged Love Trilogy hooked me at book one, Insatiable, and then Ravenous won me over even more so. Along comes Carnal that was even more impressive. This picks up months after Ravenous lets off. It not only focuses on Micah's story and the new character to the series, Sabine, but it also has your favorites from the other books and ties up all loose ends. Having all the characters in the same room trying to agree on a plan and schedule is hilarious and/or havoc. I was not able to predict the story. It had all sorts of twists and turns. Sabine may be the most unhinged character of the series, and they are not in short supply here so that is saying a lot. It is not short on spice by any means, either. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes spicy, dark romance and looks at trigger warnings like a list of reasons to read a book.
Carnal is a slow-burn descent into chaos—and I ate it up.
Micah is fueled by rage and revenge, but Sabine? Completely unhinged, loyal, and dangerously addictive. Their dynamic is all tension, forbidden pull, and “this will end badly” energy.
The story leans heavily into morally gray characters, and it works. No one is fully innocent, which makes the stakes feel higher and the relationships more intense. The secret society twist added another layer of intrigue and tied everything together in a satisfying way.
And Evangeline? Deserved worse, honestly.
If you like your romance dark, angsty, and a little unhinged—this one delivers.
