Amaya Jax is a Flemish author from Belgium whose work explores the shadows between love and fear. She mostly writes under this pen name, Dark romance/Fantasy and Horror Erotic stories. When she's not writing, she's usually reading with a cat curled up beside her or playing video games.
Novella’s usually dont give you much but i felt like the plot was flowing smoothly and it didn’t feel too rushed. I love the fmc’s bunny lol they always have a dog or a cat so it was different. The smut was short and sweet nothing that took away from the plot, sometimes novellas can get carried away with too much smut but this was balanced!
Alright Besties... "Seeing Her" definitely hooked me right from the prologue! Arabella came in swinging, and I was immediately ready to see where this bank robbery gone wrong was headed. Damon? Whew... that man is completely unhinged, and somehow his sarcastic, dark sense of humor had me laughing more than I expected. 🤭 The fact that he stayed obsessed for years over one woman is both wild and ridiculously entertaining.
I also loved seeing vitiligo representation because that's something we don't get nearly enough of. 🥰
That said, I wanted more emotional depth throughout the story. The suspense had all the ingredients, but there were several moments where I wished I could actually feel Arabella's fear instead of simply being told about it. The same went for the chemistry during the intimate scenes... they had heat, but I craved stronger emotional connection. I also struggled with some of Arabella's choices, especially staying in a relationship, with her then boyfriend, simply because she didn't want to be alone. 🤔
The surprise twist helped bring the suspense back, and despite a few bumps along the way, this was still an entertaining dark romance that kept me turning the pages.
My Ratings: ⭐ 4/5 ▪︎ 🥵 2.5/5

I really wanted to enjoy this one more than I did. I think if it had been a regular length novel, it would have been flushed out a little better and had a better flow to it. Everything that happened felt very disjointed and not believable (especially the ending). I don't think there was enough to time to feel anything develop between the two main characters so it was just okay. I liked how they met in the beginning and how his obsession with her grew. I liked that his goal was revenge and to "get his girl", but I just didn't feel the fire between them that I wanted.
Thank you to Amaya Jax for an ARC copy of this book.
TOP 3 READ OF 2026 THIS BOOK OWNED ME I HAVE A NEW OBSESSION This book consumed me. Stalking, bank heist, obsession, danger, and enough tension to set the pages on fire. This was easily one of my top 3 reads of the year. If you love unhinged men and badass FMCs, then you need this book. NOW LET’S TALK DAMON I am so in love with this man. Obsessed is an understatement! he’s everything! DAMON OWNS ME 5 stars all around the board
Arabella and Damon’s story pulled me in from the very first chapter and immediately set the tone for a dark, twisted, and addictive romance. The opening with the bank robbery was such an unexpected way to start, and I was instantly curious about where everything would go from there. The tension, danger, and mystery surrounding Damon’s return kept me turning the pages.
Damon is the definition of chaotic and morally questionable, but somehow his dark humor and unpredictable personality made him impossible not to enjoy. He is intense, obsessive, and completely fixated on Arabella after all these years, which creates such a wild dynamic between them. His actions are definitely unhinged, but that’s exactly what makes him such an interesting character in this type of romance.
Arabella was a strong and refreshing heroine in many ways. I especially loved seeing vitiligo representation included because it’s something that deserves so much more visibility in romance books. Her journey, however, left me wanting a little more emotional exploration. There were moments where I wanted to feel her fear, confusion, and internal struggles more deeply instead of just being shown what was happening around her. The same applied to some of the romantic moments—I enjoyed the chemistry between her and Damon, but I wished there was more emotional connection built between them.
The storyline follows Arabella’s life after her unforgettable encounter with Damon during a bank robbery years earlier. She thought that chapter was long over, but Damon never truly disappeared. After escaping from prison, he has been quietly watching from the shadows, waiting for the right moment to return to her life. When strange messages begin appearing and people around Arabella start vanishing, she realizes the man she thought was gone has found his way back to her.
What follows is a dark, suspenseful romance filled with revenge, obsession, secrets, and danger. Damon’s past comes back into play as he deals with the people who betrayed him, while Arabella becomes the one person who can be used against him. Their connection is complicated, intense, and definitely not a typical love story.
I did have some mixed feelings about certain choices Arabella made, especially when it came to staying in a relationship that clearly wasn’t fulfilling simply because she feared being alone. I wanted to see more growth and emotional development from her throughout the story. However, the unexpected twists helped bring the suspense back, and the overall plot kept me invested.
Overall, Seeing Her was a fast-paced, spicy dark romance with a unique setup, plenty of tension, and a dangerously captivating couple. If you enjoy obsessive heroes, morally gray characters, stalker romance, kidnapping tropes, and relationships that blur the lines between danger and desire, this one is definitely worth checking out. Amaya Jax created another entertaining read that kept me hooked until the end.
🖤𝓺𝓾𝓸𝓽𝓮𝓼🖤 “Ever heard of not baiting the wolf, my spicy Little Kitty Cat?”
“Little Arabella, always doing what she’s told, never what she wants.”
“I never thought I’d say this, but getting robbed may have been the best thing to have ever happened to me.”
🖤 𝓻𝓮𝓿𝓲𝓮𝔀🖤 I was absolutely seated from the get-go and remained that way until the very end. It had a beginning that grasped your attention. A stalker romance that drew you into its plot and engulfed you in absolutely steamy scenes of affection. The story was riveting with answers solved by the end. Amaya Jax delivers in this short and spicy novella you can finish in one sitting.
*spoilers* Eight years ago, while working at the bank, Arabella had a run-in with some robbers who infiltrated her job. One of them had asked her to take him and another man down to the vault. But the seemingly innocent woman appeared to be anything but… and without time to react, the robber just declared that he’d see her again, as cops busted into the room and arrested him.
Now, eight years have passed since she last laid eyes on the man that promised would return. She’s in a new relationship that is less than what she expected. The flame between them isn’t lit. And she doesn’t know that her stalker has returned. That he’s been watching her since his clever escape from the prison he’s been sitting in. But he starts making subtle signs that he’s around. Like leaving behind little notes. And making her horrible fiancé disappear.
Arabella knows he has returned. Even after researching and finding out he so-called was killed on prison grounds. She knows he’s back but doesn’t have immediate proof. Not until people around her start disappearing. And she soon becomes one of them.
But while Damon is out getting his revenge on his crew that turned him in, someone from the past has been watching him. And he knows Arabella is his weakness. And he’s not afraid to use her against him to get what he wants.
🖤𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓻𝓪𝓵𝓵🖤 A dark stalker romance with a meet cute during a bank robbery? Hell yeah. Count me in. This story was short, extremely spicy, and absolutely full of chemistry between a kidnapper and his captive. Stockholm Syndrome with a Spicy Kick because… well… it’s just better that way. Great developed plot. Likable relationship. Another banger coming from Jax in 2026.

Amaya Jax delivered exactly the story she promised, and that's what made this such a satisfying read. This wasn't a stalker romance that relied on shock value or endless escalation. Instead, it focused on the psychology behind obsession and the intensity that existed between Damon and Arabella from their very first encounter.
What stood out most to me was that their connection felt earned. Arabella wasn't written as someone who suddenly changed because of Damon. She was always drawn to intensity, and Damon simply recognized that part of her before anyone else did. Their relationship became a psychological game of cat and mouse where every interaction deepened their understanding of each other.
Damon's obsession never felt random or excessive. It was calculated, patient, and consistent with his character, while Arabella constantly challenged him instead of becoming a passive participant. That balance made their chemistry believable within the world the author created.
The biggest win for me was the payoff. I closed this book feeling completely satisfied because the ending reflected the journey these characters took together. I never felt emotionally cheated, and the darkness always served the romance instead of overshadowing it.
If you're looking for a dark stalker romance that prioritizes psychological tension and character dynamics over shock value, this is one I'd definitely recommend.
Bella works at a bank that is robbed, and she manage to trick the robbers and notify the police that sends the bastards to jail. But Damon swears she hasn't seen the last of him.
8 years passes, and Bella have somehow ended up with a stalker that keeps breaking into her car and house, leaving notes and gifts and people around her disappears. When coming face to face with her stalker, she reacts with anger instead of fear, this stalker seems to bring out conflicting emotions in Bella and she doesnt know what to do, and it seems she is in over her head.
I give this book 4 out of 5 stars because i feel like there are some questions unanswered. The book was really fun to read! Its intense, hot, twisted and dark. Arabella (Bella) is a very strong woman who isnt afraid of confrontations, and I like that she does not react the way a normal person would in the situation she is in. Damon is so weird, he is at times a brutal criminal, but when it comes to her he is so soft, but dominant, and that I just absolutely love!🔥 and the little bunny??😍😍😍😍 adorable! And i love the comedian way some scenarios is written with the cute little fluff ball😂💕
I can recommend this book to anyone who enjoys dark romcom with a masked stalker.
Seeing Her is a Dark Stalker Romance so please read the trigger warnings.
Amaya had me in a chokehold with this one. I could not put it down. From the moment Damon walked into that bank, I was a goner. The dominance of this man's presence was enough to make any woman second guess herself, so I do not blame Arabella at all.
The whole situation was delicious, he's there to rob the bank she works in and she's the badass that isn't going to take shit from him, whether he's got a gun or not. 8 years later and his obsession has only grown and my god, it's fantastic to read.
The way he says, she's mine and that's final is the most beautiful green red flag. I love their whole dynamic, he's watching her, she's sure it's him and somehow that makes her less scared ;)
I loved the revenge plot line and how that develops into something different between Damon and Bella and that twist at the end was everything and not what I expected at all.
The spicy moments between them both are well written, perfect spice level rather than just spice for the sake of spice. Oh, and I am sucker for the implied Dom/sub dynamic and also love a man who will fuel my praise kink.
Complete 5 star read, all day. Would highly recommend.
This one completely pulled me in from the very first chapter.
The story starts with a bank robbery where Arabella comes face to face with Damon. What I loved right away was that Bella didn't react the way you would normally expect. She stood her ground, and that first encounter really set the tone for everything that followed.
My favorite part of the book was definitely the relationship between Damon and Bella. Damon is dangerous, obsessive, and completely unhinged at times, but when it comes to Bella, you also get to see a much softer, incredibly possessive side of him. Bella was such a fun FMC because she isn't easily scared or intimidated, which made their chemistry even better.
The revenge plot kept me invested from start to finish, and the spice felt natural and added to the story instead of taking it over. Everything flowed really well together.
Also... the bunny deserves an honorable mention. It brought some genuinely funny moments that balanced out the darker parts of the story so well.
Overall, this was a fun, dark, and addictive read with great chemistry, plenty of tension, and a twist that completely caught me off guard.
Our FMC is a bank clerk when she is confronted with robbers, a gun pointed at her by a masked man who’s seems mesmerised by Arabella not flinching does what he asks. Unfortunately, for Damon the police are in their way…years later he escapes with only revenge in his mind except it doesn’t go to plan as his feelings for her have escalated to stalker status and ladynapping 😬
The fact he planned how to scare her psychologically was a great addition to the story building the angst, I loved the fact she chatted with her pet rabbit, great sounding board 🤣 Him seeking revenge on his band of cohorts for betraying him, though we are left thinking about this as he also finds out more than he bargained on and that folks was the twist! It would have been a one sitting read for me if life hadn’t interrupted as it does. There are spicy times, breeding kink, dominance, sassy FMC and the rabbit 🐇🤣 Overall Amaya led us into a great storyline with a HEA.
Thank you to the author for the advanced copy of the book
First, check your trigger warnings. I was unable to put this book down and finished it in 2 days, and that was only because I had to work in between reading. This is not your typical stalker; he is almost morally black, but with a heart for his woman. He meets her when he is robbing the bank where she works, and she is the one who puts him away with her testimony. Damon thought he wanted to get revenge on Arabella for helping put him away for 10 years, but then he changed course. Arabella always thought that her feelings were strange for Damon because of how he robbed her bank and put a gun to her head. Bella is strong-willed and doesn’t back down from a challenge, and that is one of the things that turns Damon on. This is one you want to read if you love a good dark stalker romance. 💋 Dark Stalker Romance 💕 Ladynapping 🔥 Revenge 💸 Bank Robbing Gone Wrong 💅 She Makes Him Work For It
💋 Dark Stalker Romance 💋 Ladynapping 💋 Revenge 💋 Bank Robbing Gone Wrong 💋 She Makes Him Work For It
Seeing Her is a dark stalker romance where we follow Damon and Arabella. Damon had one job and that was to get the cash and disappear. Arbella will not let him get away.
The book starts off with an action pack chapter where we see how Arabella and Damon first met.
Arabella is feisty, fights for herself and doesn’t let Damon get the better of her. Damon is revenge, stalker, criminal and obsessed.
I enjoy the story. It was a quick read and has everything you need in a dark romance. There is spice, stalking and a whole tricker warning list of fun.
I loved all the action, the suspense, the stalking and of course Cookie.
Thank you Amaya Jax for sending me this ARC in exchange for my honest review
Seeing Her by Amaya Jax is a fast-paced wild ride that I couldn’t put down! The plot moves at a breakneck speed. While I thoroughly enjoyed how quickly the action kicked off, I actually would have preferred it to be a bit more drawn out just so I could spend more time in this chaotic world. The FMC and MMC are unhinged in the absolute best way possible! Their chemistry is off the charts, and the dark criminal plot blended perfectly with the incredibly explicit, spicy scenes. I also have to mention the pet bunny, Cookie?! Absolutely loved that addition, bringing such a sweet and unexpected element to an otherwise gritty, intense story. If you love a quick read that’s chaotic, focusing on a masked-stalker revenge romance with "touch her and die" energy, definitely check this one out. Just make sure to check the trigger warnings first! Thank you to the author for a copy ♥️
💋 Dark Stalker Romance 💕 Ladynapping 🔥 Revenge 💸 Bank Robbing Gone Wrong 💅 She Makes Him Work For It
Arabella is a good girl, trying to live right and project the perfect image. It has been 8 years since the bank she works at was robbed and she helped the police put the robber behind bars, she thinks everything has gone back to normal and that she is safe. But little does she know he is out and looking for her. Damon is the bad boy, not caring what others think, doing whatever needs to be done to get by and he is dead set on revenge. If it wasn’t for Arabella, he would have gotten away with the hit or so he thinks. Neither of them realizes just how much opposites attract and what that attraction will do to them!
Revenge turns obsession when Damon decides to go after Arabella for a bank robbery gone wrong. Arabella helped to put Damon behind bars for robbing the bank she works at and now 8 years later he is back. His plot for revenge quickly turns into something more as he decides to make Arabella his.
Arabella is a fiery, tough FMC. She holds her own against Damon and is definitely no damsel in distress. I loved the pet bunny, Cookie, and how she interacted with it. Damon is an unhinged, walking red flag but will do anything for his woman.
This is a quick novella with banter and spice that I truly enjoyed, but make sure to check the triggers.
The moment I started reading, I was dropped right into action. I definitely was not anticipating that at all! It was definitely a great way to pull me right into the book. Loved that! I'm obsessed with the FMC, Arabella! She is one very beautiful and extremely fiesty woman. I was so excited to see vitiligo being represented! Damon, the MMC. What a persistent man. Don't we love to see it!? The obsession was definitely there for sure. The protectiveness and the possessiveness, WOW!! If I had to choose who I would date between the two. It would of course be Arabella. The plot was fantastic. I honestly did not expect the plot to take a turn closer to the end. I personally felt that the spicy scenes were a bit rushed for my liking. Overall, I did enjoy reading Seeing Her.
Seeing Her by Amaya Jax is a dark stalker romance and this book gives you everything that you need!!
Bella works in a bank which is robbed and her testimony helps put one of the robbers in jail. 8 years later, the robber, Damon escapes and he wants revenge against Bella but when he sees her can he go through with it? I don’t want to give spoilers but this book had me gripped and for a short story it really packs a punch, I would recommend this, it was so good! With a beautiful, badass FMC.
Please check your triggers before reading but I can’t get enough of Bella and Damon, I need more! Also the gorgeous little bunny Cookie!

This was a great dark stalker romance from Amaya. I was so intrigued by Damon from the moment he robbed the bank, saw Arabella and everything went south 😊
It was just a crazy read and it was kind of creepy how his obsession grew worse over the 8 years apart. Constantly thinking of the girl who supposedly called the cops? Yeah that’s obsession!
Damon and Arabella’s relationship was intense and spicy and I really loved the revenge plot line throughout. How it changed and developed into something more was very amusing.
The build up to the ending was fantastic and action packed! The little twist at the end took me by surprise but ended the book in a great way with a HEA. Great read!
"I'm coming your way, Kitty, and you better get those claws ready for me."
This was so good and so freaking spicy!! Literally all my favorite quotes, I doubt I can put on social media without getting restricted 🤣 First of all, I knew I would love this story when I discovered the MMC's name is Damon. Secondly, this is one of the best stalker romances I've read in a while! Amaya Jax had me flipping through the pages of Seeing Her with a quickness. It's dark, it's all-consuming, the spice and chemistry are on fire, and I've never wanted to be in Bella's position so bad.
I loved this! It's Damon & Bella's story & it was a great one! He & others rob her bank & he goes to jail for a while; he escapes with vengeance on his mind, but there are things he doesn't know yet. She starts getting gifts, notes, etc. & is totally freaked out about it all. He'll stop at nothing to make her his; but things come to light; & it shakes his world & puts them both in danger. This was a short & quick read; I loved the banter between them; the spice & the story are fantastic! Highly recommend this novella & author!
This story was really good. The first book I actually finished in over a month!
Arabella works at a bank when one day it gets robbed. She makes sure that the person responsible gets arrested but years later comes to regret that decision. Damon gets arrested after Arabella warned the cops, or did she?
This book has spice, suspense, mystery and a insane plot twist. As always, a gem from this author!

Arc review of Seeing Her by Amaya Jax I loved how this was a fast read. After Damon escapes prison, he returns to seek revenge on those who got him a longer sentence, but the one person he cannot forget is Arabella. In the midst of seeking revenge on her, among his partners in crime, he realizes he has no true intentions of hurting her. His Obession leads to him kidnapping her and her bunny, Cookie and making her his.
Does she stay or does she escape and turn him in again?
This is my first read from this author. It was a great fast read with a great story line.
The mmc is out for revenge but quickly just turns obsessive with the fmc. She is stong willed, definitely pushes his buttons and gives him a run for his money.
This is a bank robbery gone wrong and the fmc is the bank clerk. He is set out to avenge his friend by getting revenge on those who wronged them.
Great book and very spicy! Everything you want for a dark romance Novella 🖤
This book grabbed me immediately. It beings on a high note and holds attention for the duration. It was ups and downs and moments where you’re unsure what might happen.
This book is a ride and I was locked in. The fmc is amazing and feels so realistic like it could actually happen. The mmc is the perfect mix of golden retriever and morally grey.
This is an excellent book and I highly recommend reading it.
I absolutely fell in love with this way faster then I was expecting!.
I am her for all aspect of this book. Let's just talk about how the MMC robs a bank an becomes obsessed with the girl who put him in prison 😳. This hit such a bar for me from the stalker aspects all the way to the questionable situations and hints he leaves for the FMC. Amaya Jax did an exceptional job on this 👏
Who doesn't love a book with an obsessive and dangerous MMC! Who might I add is super unhinged at times. Then you sprinkle in the FMC who isn't the one to flinch or be scared off so easily. What a match. You get sucked right in at the first thing being a bank robbery! Who doesn't love when such an event starts a book off. Absolutely loved Damon and Bella together. Also don't forget the bunny, iykyk.
This is such a good book. It is a short spicy novella that I read in one day. Arabella went to work; she worked at a bank. After a run in with Damon and a heist gone wrong. She had no clue that she had been claimed, and her life years later would take a steamy turn. This was my first book by this author, and she will now be an auto read for me. If dark romance, spicy and great chemistry is your vibe then this is for you.
