Informative

I learned a lot about the practices of counselors, and about the ways I can employ some easy to implement steps into my daily life to enhance myself and my interactions with others.

A easy yet informative read for the training counsellor.

I liked reading this book. I could dip into it as and when, or read it cover to cover without feeling like I had information overload.

A decent book to get you started on counseling skills and what the whole deal about listening profession is. The book focuses mostly on attentive listening and how juts being available to provide a listening and safe space to someone can work wonders.

This book touched a bit on the history of psychotherapy but just the surface of it. It focused more on the micro skills during counselling and gave some disguised examples that are helpful in understanding these skills. Also, it briefly mentioned some therapies out there.
