This book would have gotten five stars from me if the author had done a better job of explaining some of the recipes. She assumes you have made soap before, and leaves out very important safety measures and precautions when dealing with the lye recioes. One recioe says to make a lye solution and then add to the oils. PLEASE, IF ANYONE HAS NOT USED LYE BEFORE, DO NOT MAKE THE RECIPES IN THIS BOOK USING LYE. The author doesn't say how to make the lye solution. Lye is very dangerous if not used and mixed properly. If you are familiar with soap making this book has excellent ideas, and would be beneficial in your endevours. I was given a copy of this book for an honest review.
