Savannah was every bit of started from the bottom now I'm here! Building a successful brand from scratch, with millions of followers she was on top of the world. Well, sort of. Being engaged to Carter Ellis the wealthiest bachelor in Atlanta, should have made her happy; but all he did was dim her sparkle. Made her feel less than, made everything about him, until she didn't recognize herself at all. She was miserable thinking of the future ahead of her but didn't know how to escape the madness. How did these two get together anyway? It was never discussed on page, they seemed like such an odd pair. 👀 Was it all for clout, as it didn't seem to be any love there.

Enter Sin Matthews, who is hired by Carter to photograph all things wedding, and keep an eye on his wife to be. Well, keep an eye on her he did, and allowed his heart to join the party. The chemistry between Sin and Savannah was hot from the moment they met. Trying to keep everything professional proved pointless, as they were like moths to a flame. Then came the threats, secrets, and lies that put them both in danger. Who was Sincere Matthews really? He was much more than a rough around the edge's photographer! He could make a phone call or two and blow up your whole spot!

Glad that Savannah was able to find happiness again, after being stifled by Carter. Sin found love when he wasn't even looking for it. Savannah was everything to him.

I have mixed feelings about this one. This was my first read by this author & I liked the vibe & writing style. I struggled with the romance though. Savannah and Sin had chemistry, sure, but I never actually bought into them as an item. The transition to "love" felt flat. Also, Savannah? Girl, the 🚩 were everywhere! So it was hard to root for somebody who after being confronted with multiple truths continued to choose misery and self-martyrdom just to get to a wedding/marriage she knows she shouldn't be having in the first place.

I’ll definitely be checking out the rest of this author's catalog though, but this specific story just wasn't the one for me.

New-to-me author and now I’m about to deep dive the entire backlist. No shame.

MMC is hired to photograph a high-profile wedding… and instead falls for the bride. Sir. PROFESSIONALISM?? Never heard of her.

But wait — he’s not just a photographer. Oh no. He’s also a part-time private investigator hired to do two jobs for the same powerful family. The layers. The mess. The audacity.

What I loved? When it really came down to it, his feelings for the FMC outweighed the money, the secrets, and the assignment. As it should.

And the FMC? A woman who’s been conditioned to put her wants on the back burner finally gets her power back. We love to see it.

Quick. Sexy. A little scandalous.
Romance with suspense and a man willing to risk it all?
Yes, please.

This one was cool. I loved that he was a photographer because I’m going to run to a book with a photographer or musician every time!

I wished we would have leaned into his photography a little more. Especially his background and how he got there.
Next to his photography, Sin and Savannah had all the chemistry when it came to the spice. I felt a little unsure about her. I wanted her to lean into being stronger when it came to Carter.

The storyline was good and I think it would be a great full length story so we can build a foundation of chemistry between the two main characters and even the legal aspects of it was very interesting. Sin was head over heels for Savannah. Very Dwayne Wayne coded. 👀

I had a good time but…..

I mean is your wedding photographer supposed to fall for the Bride? No, but stuff happens. This was a good time but I have to say I do wish we would’ve gotten a bit more on page. The chemistry between Sin and Savannah was absolutely present but I don’t know that I believe they were truly in love, it was implied but I wanted to see it. Also, Savannah was a bit frustrating….only because even though she was right to be mad, still putting on that dress was crazy to me. The ending fizzled a bit for me, I think it just felt rushed but I had a good time in these pages. I definitely plan to dive deeper into this authors catalog.

This is my first read from this author and she definitely kept me intrigued especially the forbidden part I had to download! First of all, I thought to myself now wth is a photographer supposed to do? Her controlling fiancé didn’t know what he signed up for at all. Sin couldn’t take seeing her unhappy, even though she assumed she was doing a good job hiding it. Who knew her photographer spy would be her true love.
