DNF @ 20%. I was intrigued by the premise (the FMC is running for her life, and stumbles into a clearing where the MMC is reluctantly participating in a ceremony to ask Cupid the Warrior to send him a bride), but there were too many different/conflicting vibes.

This Valentine Protheka romance story was an enjoyable story to read. This story is about Saela who was out with her friends foraging when they notice one of their friends was missing so they followed her trail and saw a group of orcs killing her. Fleeing for her life she appears in front of Kai an orc of Frostfang tribe who's doing a ceremony to ask Cupid the Warrior to send him his bride. Our couple were very likable to root for as they found themselves thrusts together in this cute engaging story that I'd received and volunteer to read and review.

A Different Kind of Valentine's Celebration

Makes you wonder how our holidays would be interpreted by a race that has no idea of the background behind our celebrations of human events. I enjoyed the meet cute as she was running away into the middle of a "religious" rite. Then having been seen as the answer to a prayer to be his mate. As the story progressed, they came closer together. When she was in danger, it was then that they acknowledged their feelings. A good story filled with danger, excitement, A found family,and a chosen love all ending with their HEA.

This was an unbelievably amazing story.

The initial tragedy at the beginning was emotional and heartbreaking. How does a story continue after that, but it does. Thrown in by circumstance and pressure from peers a beautiful love story evolves.

Celeste has such an imaginative creative mind and I love her work immensely. I am looking forward to reading the next one 💜.

Saela and Kai
I loved this sooo much. The world that she created. Saela is one badass! It’s amazing to see the growth there relationship went to. The battle with the other orc clan, wow. I truly enjoyed this story.

Saela and her friend Reesa see their friend Nia killed by orcs and run each in different directions. Saela runs into a Valentine celebration onto the arms of Kai. These are good orcs but the bad orcs still want Saela. Why? Enjoy
