What a beautiful / heartbreaking story it had my heart feeling every emotion from outrage, tears in both sad and happy to everything in between. I felt like I learned some new things throughout reading this book especially with this incredible strong woman cella is such a kindhearted soul among other things! I wouldn’t be able to be considered to attempt new things with the strength she and Eric have with what they been through. They’re definitely an inspiration in my opinion I personally love how Eric handles every situation with patience, slowness, care and much more. It felt like love at kinda almost first sight even though it made no sense to them. I love seeing how much of Cella openly herself up more happened with right place and equipment its out standing to watch! the determination people at rawhide ranch to right as much as possible in all the wrong her family did to Cella is a testament to nobody who you are or your personal situation is your still equal and deserve the best out of life! That’s one of many reasons I love there community every time I read more from the rawhide ranch the more I wish it was a real place! It definitely meant to be that these individuals met I definitely believe they’re great a reminded one another they are worthy of great things and love among other things! Eric and Call are two souls that help each other at Rawhide Ranch
Eric received a call from his doctor warning him of a patient she believed was being brought to the ranch for some AND treatment however her stepfather was a real piece of work and had been torturing her mentally for over a year when he had forcefully removed Calla and since then had not been seen or heard of again.
Eric had warned Master Derick so he had been more than ready when the obnoxious full of his own important man arrived, shouting the odds and trying to bully the staff but Rawhides Staff were a family that protected everyone under their foot they were all loved and cherished and Derick would be bullied by no one, even worse to try and demean his friends, family and colleagues could mean him ending up outside the gates on his was after Derek had first put his cowboy clad foot there.
As soon as Dr Eric was Calls in a total breakdown due to her stepfathers abhorent treatment he had felt his heart move, he knew that she was her Daddy but was he brave enough to allow her that close. He had his own demons he was still battling but he knew he could help her and once she was on the ranch grounds he would ensure her stepfather never had access to her ever again
A captivating read deals g with many new disorders and their treatments, beautifully written. I look forward to future books by Khloe Wren.
This book is beautiful. A wondrous opening into a whole new world of experiences, good and bad.
Calla is suffering at the hands of her stepfather. Taunted and threatened. She lives a life of fear, with only one true friend Kimori. Her stuffed dragon.
When threatened with a visit to Rawhide Ranch research center, she is told by her stepfather she is going to be a human guinea pig. All Calla can do is fight to escape.
When Calla arrives at the ranch Eric is waiting. Warned by a friend she is coming he does all he can do to quell her fears and help her recover.
Here Starts a captivating story of understanding, recovery and love.
I love these characters, Calla has taken root in my heart. I felt her pain and her happiness. A beautiful story well told..
This book is a perfect addition to Rawhide Ranch and can someone please tell me where I can get my own Kimori.
Calla is AuDHD but leaning more towards the autism side of it. Though if you read her story you’ll know why. She hasn’t had the easiest life. From growing up in a way no child should have endured to being left in the care of stepdad who would do about anything to torment her with no help from her mother. Being dropped at Rawhide is probably the best to ever happen to her. She just doesn’t know it yet. Eric is at the ranch after finding out just how evil people can be first hand. The resulting trauma he endured not just physically damaged him met also mentally. But Calla is the first person to have that feeling of being enough rise up again. But can he truly let his demons go before it consumes him and makes him walk away of the person he needs more than his next breath? The one that calms his mind like no therapist has ever been able to do.
What an absolutely fantastic story about a beautiful young woman by the name of Calla who was non verbal AuDHD. She had a horrible upbringing, but thank goodness. She was taken in by a clinic that helped her until her stepfather took her out and threatened her physically and emotionally. My heart absolutely broke for her until she made it to Rawhide Ranch where she met Eric who was broken just like her. If anyone could understand her, he did. I enjoyed their relationship and how she felt safe with Erica at all times, and she helped him realise that he wasn’t as broken as he thought he was. I loved that they were able to be Daddy and Little girl and go on to have their heavily ever after.
I was given an advanced copy of this book to read and I am reviewing with my honest and fair opinion.
I love the Rawhide Ranch series, and all their stories have a meaning behind them, just like this one. I had never heard of AuDHD and was intrigued to read a story about it. Calla has AuDHD and hasn’t exactly had the best life growing up, so many tragic things took place but somehow, she survived them all. When she comes to Rawhide Ranch, she never expected what would be ahead of her and it is everything she could have possibly dreamed of. It didn’t start off easy, but when Eric is there to help her adjust to her new life, she felt such a strong connection to him. Eric has had tragedy in his life as well, and together, they somehow heal each other and make life worth living again. My heart melted with how kind, caring and respectful Eric was with Calla, the perfect Daddy for her. And Calla came to the Ranch a complete wreck, but Eric showed her that not all people are evil, there are so many good ones out there, especially on the Ranch. She completely blossomed in this story and I just wanted to jump into the pages and hug her! I found this story to be quite inspirational and informational and truly enjoyed and loved it. This was my first read by this author and certainly won't be my last! Brilliant story!
Calla has autism and ADHD. Her stepfather and her mother treated her really bad because Calla doesn’t speak and gets very upset easily. Her stepfather threatened to take her to a place that would do research studies on her. And that place was Rawhide Ranch research Institute. How to stepfather not knowing what rawhide ranch really is. Eric is a doctor there at research Institute, but also Eric has his own demons he is dealing with. When he met Calla, he knew that Calla was someone special. Eric helped Calla find herself again and learn how to communicate to him and others in a way that it didn’t overwhelm her. I really enjoyed this book. It showed that people with special needs can still be a little and get the respect and the needs that they need to.
Amazingly written this book is not only heartbreaking but takes the reader through so many emotions. I can’t express what a beautiful storyline this is. Calla is an amazing character and addition to the Rawhide Ranch family. Her journey that brought her to the ranch would have anyone not being able to trust or be able to move forward. Her immediate trust in Eric just adds to the magic of the ranch. Calla’s challenges with neurodiversity are handle so well and Eric’s love and patience were remarkable. I loved how in the right environment she thrived. This is an excellent read and addition to the Rawhide Ranch series.
Calla is autistic and has ADHD. Her father and stepfather have abused her, and her mother has abdicated her role as protector. When Calla shows up at Rawhide Ranch, she is spiraling. Eric also has a tragic past, but when the two meet, the magic that is Rawhide Ranch shows up. Calla trusts Eric has her best interests at heart from the first moment. Eric feels a connection to Calla and realizes that his past has prepared him for Calla.
I really enjoyed this story. Eric's patience with Calla and the love he shows her from the first help Calla to adjust and grow quickly. I look forward to more stories from this author and along this storyline.
An absolutely fascinating well researched current storyline.
I really, really liked the way Calla was portrayed, very realistic but with a lot of hope and promise for her future. Neurodiversity has such a variety of nuances, it becomes a difficult subject to do justice to. This was everything it should be.
I liked that despite the despicable treatment of both Eric and Calla they were still able to begin a healing journey with one another.
Rawhide Ranch sprinkles it's magic and another wonderful couple has found their destiny.
It’s a beautiful story filled with amazing characters with tragic backgrounds and it is an amazing addition to the rawhide ranch experience. The amount and details of punishments and steam is lesser than most other rawhide stories but it just elevates the story! It’s a great representation of the neurodivergent experience and as someone with AuDHD I relate with Calla so much. It’s a captivating (hehe) story with Calla and Eric fit perfectly together where both think they are broken but they start healing together.
The magic of Rawhide Ranch is back again. This was the sweetest story and I absolutely love how Calla is accepted just as she is. As someone with AuDHD, I appreciate the care the author took to explain some things and while everyone’s experience is different, the author did a good job explaining AuDHD. I really enjoyed this book. And maybe cried a little too. So good!
I have to say this book tugged at my heart so badly. I had tears in my eyes from all that Calla had gone through. It is was a wonderful heartfelt read for me. The author did a good job in incorporating Calla’ Neurodivergent into the story line along with Dr. Maestro’s PTSD. This is a highly recommended read from me. Although if you are looking for a lot of sex scenes this is not the book, but the storyline is so well written it doesn’t need it.
What a beautiful story ❤️ of two literally tortured people finding their Happily Ever After! This is my first read by Author Kloe Wren and WOW! She really captured the magic of finding a home and true love at the Rawhide Ranch. I laughed, cried, and was truly stunned at the authentic representation of the disability community. The lessons and love of Callalily and her Daddy will remain in my heart and I will return to this stor again and again.
Not so much a "Little" story, so much as just using the verbiage. It was a good story. I enjoyed it as it was sweet, heart-warming, and full of caring. I understand why there wasn't a ton of talking, especially from Calla, but it drove me nuts sometimes, anyway. It was harder to feel a connection with these characters. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved this story! I had to read it all in one setting. The instant connection Eric feels to Calla and the way she immediately can settle when he is around is so precious and sweet. Eric and Calla both have tragic pasts they need to move on from but the sweet love these two have for eachother is amazing!
Calla is Autistic and ADHD and was abused first by her real dad he locked her in a attic until she was rescued but her life didnt get any better being with her mom and stepfather . he didnt want a retard and dropped her off at a clinic . her life doesnt change until she gets to Rawhide Ranch meets Eric and finally though it takes time will heal
So many emotions in this one that is all heart and will make you feel. Calla has had a very rough life and meeting Eric at Rawhide Ranch was just the beginning of something so beautiful it's very hard to forget.
Written with so much heart it grabbed me on page one. I laughed, cried and wished it was everything.
I cried and hoped and loved all the way reading this captivating story. I wanted to wrap up Poor little Calla from page one and Eric just does that. He is the perfect Daddy for her. All the characters are real and rounded, the feelings and emotions scream from the page. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. I will long remember this book.
Absolutely LOVED this book. Both Hero and heroine are so scarred and just lovely. Their trauma was treated respectfully. Working with people with ASD and other associated diagnoses was so tastefully treated and acknowledged. Absolutely wonderful read!
Awesome read, and I love how Rawhide Ranch is going into so many directions to help those that have problems with a way to deal with, and ideas to help with different things they need to help them through their day.
When Eric is alerted by a medical colleague that an AuDHD young lady is being brought to Rawhide Ranch and has been traumatized not only by her biological father but her stepfather as well, he alerts Master Derek. Amazing storyline. Must Read to follow
A quick read in the rawhide ranch series. I think Eric was perfect for Calla and knew exactly how to communicate with her. While they both had issues to work through, there was a lot of growth between the two.
Very interesting story. The inclusion of the different personalities makes it even more intense. This is my first taste of Khloe Wren and a welcome one.
Sweet quick read with all the feels. I loved this story, how Calla and Eric helped each other heal from their histories and call in love with each other, so lovely.
