Five work colleagues fresh from a boozy night out to celebrate a promotion chance upon an abandoned old factory. Strout Dolls went bust during the 1970s.
Penny is shocked to see a little girl run across the road and disappear inside the compound.
It’s dark; it’s freezing. They’re in the middle of nowhere. Worse, they’ve all been drinking. They all just want to go home and sleep.
Penny can’t be sure what she saw, but still if it’s a little girl all on her own…shouldn't they take time to investigate?
Just to be safe.
Do I Look Plastic To You? is a dark, terrifying and macabre horror novel that poses the how does a child’s toy turn into a vicious, psychopathic killer? Not just one, but a whole storeful of them. Who is the genius madman behind these evil dolls? Can anyone survive one night at the old doll factory?
Jools G King is a British horror indie author who takes feverish delight in scaring readers, and occasionally himself. He’s self-published three novels and one novella, with more to come. His latest novel is Catz of the Undead, which features a malevolent witch and zombie cats.
By day, he’s a civil engineer, and when he’s not writing he enjoys watching movies, reading books, especially about history and the occult, chess and travelling. He lives with his cat, Yoshi, who last time he looked has not turned into a zombie.
Donna and her sisters are just as delightfully despicable as Chucky and Annabelle. There are absolutely no characters in this book you'll want to invite to dinner. Some of them pretend to be nice, but don't be fooled. These creepy dolls aren't looking for playdates; they're after something inside you, but you'll have to read the book to find out what's on their twisted wish list. The book is fast-paced and well-written. I enjoyed this twisted read.

Do I Look Plastic To You? is a chilling piece of British occult horror that taps into a deeply unsettling premise: familiar childhood objects turned into instruments of terror. Jools G King uses the abandoned doll factory setting to create an atmosphere of dread that feels both industrial and uncanny, blending urban decay with supernatural menace.
The story’s strength lies in its escalating tension and moral dilemma ordinary people making one small, human decision that leads them into an inescapable nightmare. The concept of psychopathic dolls is given a fresh, sinister twist through occult undertones and the mystery of the mastermind behind the factory’s horrors. Fans of atmospheric horror, cursed-object narratives, and British supernatural thrillers will find this a disturbing, compulsive read that lingers long after the final page.
Do I Look Plastic To You by Jules G King, I love can’t be out of the box horror and this book definitely scratch that itch. When five coworkers are out on a work due while driving home one of them sees what looks like a limping little girl going into the woods on a long dark back road. When she tells her fellow Passengers they decide that a couple will go in to investigate and let the others know what’s happening. What they find is an old warehouse a bunch of plastic dolls singing we love eating brains but one voice does not sound like the others and before the night is over… A night not all of them will live through Penny who is dating the boss Tom will find out many home truths and come to realizations that will ultimately affect her life. Not that being stalked by plastic dolls who want to kill you wouldn’t be enough to change her life. This book was so good I loved Penny Ann Paul. there are many twisted parts before it’s over but before it’s over it will get even more twisted I loved it and thought the ending was awesome#JulesGKing, #TheBlindReviewer, #MyHonestReview,
