“I’d never been one to be soft and safe—there was no reason to start being that now. I’d always been about taking risks, and I’d 𝓻𝓲𝓼𝓴 𝓲𝓽 𝓪𝓵𝓵 for Leo.”

Sometimes you pick up a book and immediately know it’s going to be your kind of romance. that was 100% this one for me 🙂‍↕️
Leo and Eliza had me hooked from the start because the banter was absolutely top-tier. If there’s one thing guaranteed to make me obsessed with a romance, it’s tension-filled back-and-forth that makes me grin at my book like an idiot, and these two delivered from the very beginning. Every conversation felt charged, every interaction had me waiting for someone to finally crack, and the fact that they were neighbors and coworkers? Yeah, I was done forrrrrrrr 😝

And can we talk about Leo for a second?!?!?
Because that man is dangerously close to perfection.
Watching him care about Eliza while never trying to force her into becoming someone she wasn’t honestly spoke so much louder than words. Eliza carried so much fear when it came to letting people in, and while it hurt watching her keep those walls up, (it makes sense with her past). What I loved most was that Leo never tried to bulldoze those walls down. He stayed. He cared. He gave her the space to figure things out on her own. Even when he wanted more, he respected her enough to let things remain what she needed them to be.

And don’t even get me started on the period-care scene because I genuinely had to put the book down for a second. This man researched things that would help her feel better, made her food, and took care of her without expecting anything in return. WHERE CAN WE FIND THESE MEN??? 😭

(ALSO. Small interruption for Colin. SIR.
You weren’t in this book much, but somehow that was still too much.
Every time you showed up, you managed to be selfish, immature, and incredibly irritating all at once. Truly an impressive talent 🙂)
Anyway. Moving on.

One of my favorite parts of this entire story was the friendships. The girls, the guys, all of them. There was such a strong sense of support throughout the book that made Golden Falls feel like a place I’d actually want to live. Everyone felt connected in a way that created the found-family vibes I absolutely adore.

& my biggest takeaway: watching Eliza slowly learn that loving someone is always a risk, but that doesn’t make it something to avoid. Sometimes the possibility of heartbreak exists right alongside the possibility of something beautiful. Watching her realize that vulnerability isn’t weakness and that some people are worth trusting with your heart was probably the most emotional part of the entire book for me. There was something so hopeful about seeing her discover that the most meaningful parts of life often require courage first. The risk of getting hurt will always be there, but so will the possibility of finding a love that changes everything.

This book was sweet, funny, ridiculously romantic, and filled with the kind of chemistry that keeps you turning pages long past when you planned to stop reading 🤣 And yes, Leo Rivers has officially been added to the ever-growing list of fictional men ruining my expectations 🫠

favorite quotes ↓

“What you need is someone who allows you to take risks but is a safe landing place.”

“I think when you’re with the right person, you don’t expect them to change for you. You just make each other better, which inevitably leads to change.”

“It’s okay to be scared.”
“It’s okay to acknowledge all those feelings—as long as you don’t let them hold you back.
As long as, despite everything, you keep moving forward.
You keep living.”

“For as long as I could remember, my dream had been to be head chef of a fine dining restaurant. But that was before I realized that being with Eliza was within reach. Dreams changed. I wanted her more than I’d ever wanted anything or anyone.”

"Risk It All" by Izabela Kamila is another great addition to the Golden Falls universe. I really enjoyed Eliza and Leo's story, which is an ex's older brother, forced proximity, small-town workplace romance. Eliza dated Leo's younger brother for a year, but could never be her true self around him. Because of her not-so-great relationship with him, Eliza now keeps her dalliances super casual for fear of being changed or misunderstood by someone and/or losing herself in her relationship. Leo saw Eliza when she was tending bar three years ago, but instead of talking to her, he let his brother do it first, leading Leo to pine for her in secret. Now, Leo is in Golden Falls working as the new chef at Lake Ridge, where Eliza works part-time as a bartender. He is only in town for a short time, and when thrown into close proximity to Eliza, sparks fly between them. They are clearly attracted to each other for more than just a fling, but they have both been burned in the past, especially Eliza, so those walls stay sky-high. I loved Eliza and Leo both separately and together. Leo is such a swoon-worthy MMC. He's so head over heels for Eliza, it's not even funny. He is a tattooed, sexy chef who frequently cooks for her and is willing to keep things casual just to be in her presence, even though he wants more with her. Eliza is a strong woman who has learned to guard her heart over everything. She's vulnerable, but doesn't let others see it. They have such good chemistry with one another! It's electric, and they can barely stay away from one another. I loved their banter-filled, snarky dynamic. The pining runs deep, and I definitely felt it! The spice between them is sooooo good! I also loved getting glances at Jules and Wes and Gabe and Lily as couples again! The friend group between Eliza, Jules, and Lily is even stronger than it was in the first two books. They can rely on each other, keep their friendship at the forefront of their lives, come to each other for advice, and don't sugarcoat what's going on with one another. Despite being coupled up, these women have each other's backs no matter what. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found it to be the perfect length, and it flows very well. Read this series!!

Thank you to Izabela Kamila for the complimentary ARC of this book. All opinions are my own. I was not compensated for this review.

This was my first book by this author, and I’m already wondering why I waited so long.

I completely fell in love with the warmth of the small-town setting, the found family, and a romance that had me smiling from beginning to end. The ex’s older brother trope was handled so well, and the mix of slow-burn tension, longing, and forced proximity kept me hooked.

Leo was everything I want in a romance hero. Sweet, patient, endlessly supportive, and a tattooed chef who shows his love through actions instead of just words. Eliza was just as easy to love, and watching her slowly let down the walls she’d built around her heart made their relationship feel so rewarding. Their chemistry was incredible, the banter was effortlessly fun, and every emotional moment hit just as hard as the romantic ones.

What made this story so special was how genuine everything felt. The character growth, the friendships, the emotional healing, and the unwavering support between everyone made Golden Falls feel like a place I’d never want to leave.

This was the kind of romance that completely swept me away. I’m excited to read more from this author!

Golden falls is a place I’d visit and never leave. Just saying.

We follow Eliza, (my new best friend) she’s a smart mouth, sassy bartender. She’s had a rough life most definitely and after her recent break up she isn’t looking for a serious relationship at all.
Leo is the sexy new chef in town. (Also Eliza’s ex boyfriend’s brother. Whoops) Who just happens to work at the same bar as Eliza.
I mean what more could we ask for? This one was sooo good!
———————

Leo, god that man. Tattooed hands got me. 😍🫶🏻🔥 add in a thigh tattoo!? Ugh. I’m dying 😩
He was so caring, literally always putting everyone ahead of himself.
I am beyond grateful he got his happy ending.
I loveeeee a man that can cook. So he gets all the points. And the mouth on him? Beyond perfect. I’ll take 10 of him right now. Thank you!
Eliza, that’s my girl for sure. I’m obsessed with her. She knows exactly what she wants and isn’t afraid to go get it.
Oh the spice was so spicing. Chapter 20 specifically. Forever engraved in my mind.

I love how honest and real the connection between Eliza and Leo felt. There was so much tension and emotion. Still in awe of how well Izabela Kamila creates such depth in her characters.
The growth between both Eliza and Leo was my favorite part. Both of them worked so hard together and separately to over come their fears, open up and actually accept love from one another. It was tremendous and I loved every part of it.
The grief both Eliza and her brother Cooper experienced was done so well. Definitely pulled on my heart strings.

I had two weaknesses—thigh tattoos and mustaches—and the world was out to get me, because Leo had both. What had I done to be tortured and teased like this?!

Huge thanks to Isabela Kamila and Luna Literary for this arc.

Sometimes we meet the love of our lives and the timing it is not the correct but no matter the distance, the days or the years we spend apart if we are meant to be our destiny will bring us together.

This book teaches us that it is worth it to risk it all for our true love despite all the obstacles, even when it is scary. This book is a love story about yearning and longing.

Eliza and Leo are the embodiment of true love, they are soulmates, I felt in love of their journey to achieve their love story.

One of the things that I loved about Leo is his patience, his perseverance and how selfless he is, how through his acts of service he takes care of everyone around him. He always puts the needs of others first before his, and he is incredibly emphatic.

Eliza is fiercely protective and loving towards they people she loves, grief and the fear of losing more people makes her scared to open up and let more people in but day by day she realizes that she felt in love with Leo so deeply that pushing him away and loving him in the distance is absolutely torture. She realized that she can be vulnerable with him and that he is worthy of her love.

Their happily ever after brought me so much happiness and contentment. They are so lucky to have each in other and to find a connection as deeply as theirs.

ARC REVIEW 🌷

I could have finished this book in one sitting if life, and being sick, hadn’t gotten in the way. Once I started feeling better and hit the 20% mark, I was completely hooked and couldn’t put it down!

This is the perfect blend of small-town charm, found family, friends-with-benefits romance, and personal growth.

Eliza has had her heart broken more than once and has built walls to protect herself, while Leo is a hopeless romantic who walks in at the right moment. Their journey felt authentic, emotional, and incredibly rewarding to follow!

One of my favorite parts of this book was the supporting cast. Eliza’s friends and loved ones were top tier! Always there for her while giving her the space she needed to grow. Watching her blossom into a stronger version of herself was so satisfying. Leo’s character growth was just as enjoyable. As a devoted big brother and chronic people pleaser, seeing him figure out what he truly wanted for himself made his story even more meaningful.

The spice was perfectly balanced with the romance, and the ending was everything I hoped it would be.

Eliza and Leo face plenty of challenges along the way, but with time, support, and a lot of self discovery, they find what’s right for both of them. Their story was heartfelt, swoony, and impossible not to root for.

I have been (im)patiently waiting for Eliza & Leo's story since book 2! I had the amazing opportunity to not only alpha read, but reread this story as an arc.

The moment Leo stepped foot into Golden Falls all bets for off. The tension between them having been lingering for 3+ years. You could tell they had a connection between them as they flirted with banter. Between the nicknames and close proximity there was no denying their feelings.

It was only supposed to be a one time thing to get each other after their systems, but they couldn't keep their hands off each other. They connected on not just a physical level, but emotional.

The character growth for Eliza and Leo as individuals only made the ending that much better. Both of them had things individually they needed to work on to better themselves before they can truly dive into being a couple.

I love being able to escape into Golden Falls. I love the small town vibes and aesthetics!!

I am SOOOOOOOO intrigued for what is to come in book 4!!

Throughout the first quarter of the story, all I could think was how the author was trying too hard to make sure we knew about the attraction between Leo and Eliza.
Some of the reactions of certain characters seem really odd because of this. For example: a guy Eliza is flirting with at the bar and planning to go home with says he’s leaving after Eliza and Leo catch up because “he doesn’t want to get in the middle of anything”, but there was nothing even remotely flirty about the conversation they were having. Also, Eliza is a bartender so she socializes with everyone. A bit before that, Leo asks Cooper was Eliza is to him (= his sister). Apparently it is clear to everyone that Leo is trying to find out if Eliza is single, but he just arrived in town and is getting to know everyone, so it just seemed like an innocent question to me. The other characters were apparently all very aware of the tension between Leo and Eliza, but that apparent tension did not reach me as the reader at that point. From their internal monologue, it is clear that something is up immediately- I just found it a little weird that everyone seemed to notice with barely any interactions between our main characters.

The next three quarters of the book? A very enjoyable, smooth read where I actually believed the insane pull between our main characters. It starts making sense that everyone around them starts noticing things, because they’ve interacted more and obviously, stuff starts happening 😏

There were a lot of characters and it was difficult to keep track of who was who, but I feel like that’s my own fault for not reading the two other books in the series first.
This is the third book in the Golden Falls series and can be read as a standalone. Story-wise I absolutely did feel like I wasn’t missing anything, but because of the above I do think it’s an added value to read the others first.

Talking about those other books: I definitely will be reading those too, because despite starting this review with what annoyed me, I did end up having a good time in Golden Falls.
Risk It All probably won’t make my list of favorite books ever, but it was a cute cozy romance and definitely worth your time if you’re looking for something that’s not too heavy.

(I received this book as an ARC and I am leaving this review voluntarily.)

What to Expect:
Small Town Wisconsin
Ex's Older Brother
Workplace Romance
Chef x Bartender
Friends with Benefits
Found Family

If Izabela writes it, I am going to devour it. It's just that simple. 🤣🤣 Izabela is able to take the wonderful nostalgic feeling of a small town and drop it into Northern Wisconsin that has me thinking of summer nights and lake time. And Leo & Eliza are another wonderful chapter in the Golden Falls series.

Leo and Eliza always had "what if" lingering in the back of their heads. But Eliza dated Leo's brother so the most they ever would be was friends. Until Leo finds himself in Golden Falls and working with Eliza... and living across the hall from her. Soon their friendly vibes give way to something more and the heat definitely is not staying in the kitchen.

The tension and chemistry between Leo and Eliza is 👩🏻‍🍳💋. While Eliza has always dealt with men who wanted to change her, what she found in Leo is a man who loved her for herself, and who never asked her to change. He just accepted her as she was. I loved how wholeheartedly he fell for her. The man was down bad from the first moment he met her.

I also loved Eliza's journey. While she had dealt with her trauma of her childhood, the effects continued into her adult life, and the possibility of a relationship with Leo made some of her fears rear their ugly heads. The way she communicated with Leo and spoke her truth was perfect. I loved how she knew herself, but she was also self aware and willing to put in the effort where she needed to grow.

Golden Falls continues to feel like home away from home. The family vibes and the friends group is strong and woven into every layer of the town. I especially loved how they welcomed Leo with open arms. The warm, welcoming feel of the group extends to the reader as we get a peek into their lives throughout the series.

Also, the sneak peek of where book 4 is going? I CANNOT WAIT. Thank you so much to Izabela not only for having me be a part of her editing process as an alpha reader, but also for continuing to share these stories with us. Thank you to Izabela and Luna Literacy for the early copy of Risk It All!

Thank you to Izabela Kamila and LunaLiterary for the ARC and opportunity to read Risk It All!!!! This was my first time reading a book by Izabela and I’ll definitely be circling back to read the other books in this series!!

If you like small town romances, nosy neighbors, delicious forearms, mustache rides, a little forced proximity, two MCs that were always meant to be together, and spicy questions like, “Is this mine?”— then I highly recommend checking out Risk It All! Seriously though, our MMC, Leo is down so bad for our FMC Eliza… and he has a WAY with words. The context of that line as well…. 👁️🫦👁️. I’m giggling over here— haven’t stopped thinking about it. It’s not just that line though, I have severallll things highlighted from my arc lmao. There’s so much flirty banter between Eliza and Leo and their chemistry is AMAZING. It’s super convenient that they are neighbors when they decide to keep things casual. However, as you may know… that casual line starts the blur real fast. I love this in books. I also loved Eliza’s journey as well. She has some things she needs to work through and I’m glad she does for her own happiness. She deserves it!!!!! They get their HEA and it’s so freaking sweet. Again I love them.

I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this series as well as getting caught up on the others!!!

Both of our characters struggle to be vulnerable due to their past trauma. They aren't perfect and carry baggage. Eliza and Leo want to protect themselves but have an underlying desire to protect the other from the fallout that would follow if they pursued a relationship.

The tension and chemistry between Leo and Eliza is explosive. Risk It All is a slow-burn in the best way. Leo being the older brother of Eliza's ex adds a layer of forbidden attraction and internal conflict for both MCs. Working together forces their proximity and gives opportunities for witty banter and stolen glances.

The author handles the potential messy premise in a mature way. There isn't any unnecessary drama and the MCs work through their needs with communication and by maintaining mutual respect.

Risk It All kept me coming back for more, wondering when they would finally stop avoiding how they felt. I was so glad to see Leo and Eliza finally realize their relationship was worth a shot and they could work to build something beautiful with one another.

“Risk It All” by Izabela Kamila is another fantastic installment in the Golden Falls universe and one of those stories that steals your heart from the very first pages. It’s an emotional, tension-filled romance about a love that comes along with the right person, but not necessarily at the right time. Leo and Eliza’s story proves that sometimes it’s worth risking everything for true love.

The story follows Eliza and Leo, whose lives are connected by a complicated past. Eliza spent a year dating Leo’s younger brother, but she was never truly able to be herself in that relationship. Heartbreak and disappointment left her wary of romance, determined to avoid emotional attachment and protect her independence at all costs. When fate brings them together again in Golden Falls—where Leo becomes the head chef at Lake Ridge and Eliza works behind the bar—the sparks between them are immediate and impossible to ignore.

What captivated me most about this story were the characters. Leo undoubtedly earns a place on the list of top book boyfriends. He’s a talented, tattooed chef, but above all, he’s a man with an enormous heart. Patient, caring, empathetic, and incredibly devoted, he’s the kind of hero who shows his love through actions. He cooks for the woman he loves, supports her every step of the way, and is willing to wait for as long as it takes.

Eliza, on the other hand, is a strong, independent woman who hides a great deal of pain, fear, and unresolved grief beneath her confident exterior. Her fear of loss and further disappointment has led her to build walls around herself, but her character growth is portrayed in an incredibly authentic way. Gradually, she learns to trust, allows herself to be vulnerable, and begins to believe that she deserves the love she’s receiving.

Leo and Eliza’s relationship is truly special. It’s filled with longing, unspoken feelings, and emotional tension. Their chemistry is absolutely electric, and their conversations are witty, playful, and full of flirtation. Every scene they shared left me smiling. Their romance develops naturally and convincingly—from friendship and mutual fascination to a deep love that becomes harder and harder to resist. This is a romance built not only on attraction but also on trust, support, and genuine understanding.

Another huge strength of the book is Golden Falls itself. It’s the kind of place you want to return to again and again. The cozy small-town atmosphere, friends who become family, and strong sense of community bring warmth and charm to the story. It was wonderful to reunite with characters from previous books and watch the relationships between Eliza, Jules, and Lily continue to grow. Their friendship is sincere, strong, and rooted in unwavering support, adding even more heart to the novel.

The author also explores meaningful themes such as grief, healing old wounds, discovering self-worth, and finding happiness despite life’s hardships. These elements give the story additional depth and make the characters’ happy ending feel truly earned.

“Risk It All” has everything you could want from a great small-town romance: a charismatic hero, a strong heroine, incredible chemistry, emotional depth, a wonderful group of friends, and a love story you can’t help but root for. It’s a book filled with warmth, humor, heartfelt moments, and romance that reminds us that sometimes the greatest happiness lies on the other side of fear.

If you enjoy the ex-boyfriend’s older brother trope, a hero who has been in love for years, chefs, small-town settings, found family, and slow-burn romances that stay with you long after you’ve finished reading, then **“Risk It All”** is a must-read. Leo and Eliza will undoubtedly steal your heart too. ❤️

Worth the Risk
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars
🌶️🌶️

Risk It All completely stole my heart. From the first chapter, I was hooked on Leo and Eliza's story, and by the end, I was left with the biggest smile on my face. Izabela Kamila has once again created a romance filled with heart, chemistry, friendship, and emotional growth, all wrapped up in the cozy charm of Golden Falls.

Leo Rivers may just be one of my favorite book boyfriends. Seriously, this man is everything. He's a tattooed chef, an acts-of-service king, and so completely gone for Eliza that I was swooning every time he appeared on the page. Leo has quietly carried feelings for Eliza for years, and watching him finally get the chance to pursue something more with her was incredibly satisfying. He is patient, supportive, selfless, and willing to give Eliza whatever she needs, even if it means putting his own heart on the line. The way he loved her without ever asking her to change who she was made me fall for him right alongside her.

Eliza was such a strong and relatable heroine. Beneath her confidence and sass is a woman carrying grief, loss, and fears that have shaped how she approaches relationships. After spending years protecting her heart, opening herself up to Leo isn't easy. What I appreciated most about her journey was that her growth came from within. She didn't expect Leo to fix her fears or solve her problems. Instead, she slowly learned to trust herself, embrace vulnerability, and believe that she deserved the kind of love Leo was offering.

The chemistry between these two was absolutely electric. The banter was sharp, playful, and full of tension. Their friends-with-benefits arrangement was never going to stay casual, and watching those feelings deepen with every interaction had me completely invested. Whether they were teasing each other, sharing quiet moments, or navigating their fears, their connection felt genuine and heartfelt.

One of my favorite parts of the story was the setting. Golden Falls continues to feel like a place I'd happily move to and never leave. The friendships, community, and found family elements add so much warmth to the story. I loved seeing familiar faces from previous books and watching the friend group continue to support one another through every challenge life throws their way.

Beyond the romance, I also appreciated how thoughtfully the book handled themes of grief, healing, and self-discovery. Both Leo and Eliza have personal struggles they need to work through, and watching them grow both individually and together made their happily ever after feel even more rewarding.

Risk It All is everything I want in a small-town romance: a swoon-worthy hero, a strong heroine, fantastic banter, emotional depth, found family, and a love story that feels completely earned. Leo and Eliza's journey was sweet, heartfelt, and impossible not to root for.

If you love ex's older brother romances, chef heroes, friends-with-benefits that catches feelings, small-town charm, and heroes who fall first and hard, this book absolutely deserves a place on your TBR.

And fair warning: Leo Rivers is going to raise your standards. ❤️

Thank you again to Izabela Kamila and Luna Literary for the gifted ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own. ❤️📚✨

I honestly haven’t read a book that had this much of a chokehold on me in such a long time, and wow was this overdue! From the very first chapter, I was completely hooked and never wanted it to end. Every time I thought I had enough, I just wanted more, more, and more! Izabela Kamila has officially become an auto read author for me, and after finishing this book, I already know I’ll be thinking about Leo and Eliza for a long time.

Leo and Eliza’s story is everything I love in a romance. It is filled with yearning, longing, healing, and the kind of love that proves sometimes you meet the right person at the wrong time. No matter the distance, the years apart, or the obstacles standing in the way, if two people are truly meant to be together, life has a way of bringing them back to each other. Their journey beautifully shows that true love is worth risking everything for, even when it feels terrifying.

Leo is hands down one of my favorite book boyfriends ever! He is patient, emotionally intelligent, incredibly selfless, and always shows his love through actions. Whether he’s cooking for Eliza, supporting the people around him, or simply giving her the space she needs to heal, everything he does comes from such a genuine place. Acts of service is definitely his love language, and I absolutely melted watching him care for everyone around him. Add in the chef vibes, tattoos, mustache, and all of his flirty banter, and I was completely obsessed.

Eliza was just as easy to love. She’s fiercely independent, protective of the people she cares about, and carries so much grief and fear after everything she’s been through. Watching her slowly let down the walls she’d built around herself and realize that loving Leo from a distance was far more painful than taking a chance on happiness was such a rewarding journey. Her growth felt authentic, and I loved seeing her finally believe she deserved the love standing right in front of her.

Their chemistry was absolutely electric! The flirting, the tension, the longing, and the playful banter had me kicking my feet and giggling the entire time. The friends with benefits arrangement blurred into something so much deeper, and I loved every second of watching them fall harder for each other. The romance was perfectly balanced with the spice, making every emotional moment hit even harder.

The side characters deserve just as much love. Golden Falls continues to feel like a place I’d happily move to, and I loved seeing familiar faces again. The found family, genuine friendships, and strong sense of community made the story feel so warm and comforting. Eliza’s friends always knew when to support her and when to let her grow on her own, while Leo’s journey of learning to stop putting everyone else before himself added another emotional layer to the story.

This book is so much more than a romance. It’s about healing old wounds, overcoming grief, finding your self worth, and realizing that the greatest happiness often waits on the other side of fear. By the time I reached the ending, my heart was so full. Leo and Eliza’s happily ever after felt completely earned, and I couldn’t stop smiling.

If you love small town romances, ex boyfriend’s older brother, neighbors, chefs, found family, slow burn tension, emotional healing, delicious forearms, mustaches, incredible banter, and two people who were always destined to find their way back to each other, you absolutely need to pick up Risk It All. I loved every single page and cannot wait to go back to Golden Falls and read the rest of this series!

Wow, this author consistently amazes me with her captivating books. I did not know if this story would be better than All Your Midnights because I loved that one so much when I read it last year, but this one exceeded my expectations!! This surprised me especially because the characters start off as friends with benefits, which is not my favorite trope, but omg I don't know what Izabela put in this story, but I absolutely adored it and could not put it down!

Eliza, a part-time bartender and part-time yoga instructor, is living her best life in Golden Falls. She’s fun, sassy, and incredibly strong. She avoids relationships due to fears of losing loved ones and maintains a distance from everyone. Enter Leo, her ex-boyfriend’s brother, who lands a job opportunity as the head chef in Golden Falls. Feeling burnt out from his previous chef job, he moves there until he finds a new position. Leo is a romantic at heart. He is patient, caring, and puts others before him.

Although he’s only in town for a short time, their proximity sparks a connection between them. However, Leo believes in relationships, while Eliza doesn’t. As tension builds, they agree to a deal: friends with benefits until he leaves town.

Eliza initially believes she can remain distant and emotionally detached from Leo. But as they spend more time together, her feelings for him intensify, and she becomes afraid of falling for him. I admired Eliza’s authenticity and her ability to be herself. It’s something to aspire to in life. I loved her maturity and character growth by the end of the story . Leo, on the other hand, truly captivated me and is the heart of the story. His calming and understanding presence soothes Eliza and provides her with a sense of security when she needs it. He’s her foundation, and his unwavering support and grounding nature make him her rock. He respects her boundaries but demonstrates his love through actions, including cooking for her.

I also appreciated the honesty and depth of the connection between Eliza and Leo, along with the emotional depth throughout the story. The tension and spice were consistently present, but I also enjoyed the gradual build-up. This was an incredible read, and I was thrilled when a book surprises me! Plus, it features a fun-filled found family, a well-crafted and emotional plot, thigh tattoos, and an older brother, small-town workplace romance.

Thank you to Izabela Kamila for letting me ARC read again for her with Risk It All!

Izabela Kamila has done it again with Risk It All. At this point, she's an auto-read author for me because her contemporary romances are just so heartwarming, beautifully written, and will have you kicking your feet and squealing with joy every step of the way in her characters' journeys. They're a true joy to read and Risk It All is no exception.

Izabela Kamila creates complex, relatable, empathetic characters in her books, and Eliza and Leo are no different. In Eliza, Izabela has created a fierce, independent, unapologetic woman who loves fiercely and guards her heart in the same manner. In Leo, Izabela has created an emotionally-intelligent, understanding, patient, and unselfish human, making every straight or bi girl reading this book wish that this book boyfriend could come to life for her. A man that cooks for you, cares for you--not because you can't take care of yourself but because he knows you deserve to have someone else look after your needs, and gives you space to figure your shit out when you freak out a little bit? Say less please. Eliza's relationship with him is swoon-worthy: their banter is organic and cheeky, their chemistry is HOT, and the gradual progression of their relationship and unwavering support of each other's dreams is what all partners should want for each other. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Eliza and Leo, individually and together, and I think that's part of what makes Izabela's novels so great.

I also love the interconnections that Izabela has built in novels with the characters that were subjects of her previous books. Seeing how much Lily, Jules, Wes, Cooper, and Gabe are still involved in this book just shows a strong sense of community and exhibits friendships everyone wants in their lives. I love that they just don't make a cursory appearance but are actively involved in the plot and moving in forward. I cannot wait to read about Cooper and Jade in book 4!

This book had me kicking my feet and smiling so hard from how much I loved it. If you are looking for a sweet, sexy, bingeable contemporary summer romance, THIS IS YOUR BOOK. I devoured this in a day and am already looking to head back to Golden Falls as soon as I can. Five stars from me! :)

Anytime I get a chance to visit Golden Falls, I will take it because it has become one of my favorite series by Izabela Kamila. Book three, Risk It All, is the latest installment in the series, and it was easily a 4.5-star read for me.

Risk It All follows Eliza and Leo. Eliza has not had the best luck when it comes to the people she loves sticking around. After losing her parents at a young age and experiencing relationships where boyfriends tried to change her before ultimately leaving, she has sworn off anything serious and sticks to casual hookups—preferably with tourists. Leo is a chef who accepts the head chef position at the local bar and grill in Golden Falls where Eliza bartends part-time. He also happens to be Eliza's ex-boyfriend's older brother and has been quietly crushing on her since the first day he saw her bartending.

This friends-with-benefits romance is one you will not want to put down. The chemistry between Eliza and Leo is undeniable from the start, but what I loved most was how Leo understood what was holding Eliza back from fully opening her heart. Rather than rushing her or pressuring her into a relationship, he gave her the time and space she needed to work through her fears. He was willing to wait as long as it took for Eliza to trust that he was not going anywhere, and I loved the patience and understanding he showed throughout the story. Their journey from something casual to something deeper felt natural and believable, and I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.

The friend group continues to be one of my favorite parts of this series. Lily and Jules are the kind of supportive friends everyone deserves, and their presence adds so much warmth and humor to the story. However, the real scene-stealer for me was Marnie, Eliza and Cooper's grandmother. She is the eccentric grandmother who is always there for you no matter what—even when you wish she would stay out of your business. Every scene she appeared in had me smiling, and she quickly became one of my favorite characters in the book.

While this is part of a series, each book can be enjoyed as a standalone.

Thank you to Izabela Kamila and Luna Literary for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. I cannot wait to read Cooper and Jade's story!

4.5 stars rounded up!

Thank you to Izabela Kamila and Luna Literary for an eARC of Risk It All!

I read this while on a camping trip and I struggled SO bad to not just hide away and devour this read in one sitting!!

Risk It All follows Eliza, a bartender at Lake Ridge with a careful heart and a sassy attitude. She has been hurt by loss and relationships, and refuses to let her heart get broken again. Our MMC Leo is new in Golden Falls after not getting a promotion, and landing a job as chef at Lake Ridge. Coincidentally, he is Eliza’s ex-boyfriend’s older brother that caught sight of Eliza and could never have her. A friendship blooms, but Eliza and Leo can’t deny their chemistry and agree to friends with benefits until Leo leaves to another job in the city. Of course, casual turns to emotions being involved and the two have to make a choice. Can Leo stay in Golden Falls and can Eliza open up her heart for the chance at real love?

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. There was yearning, depth and emotional growth! The found family aspect of this story was so special. Unfortunately, I haven’t read the first two installments of the Golden Falls series, but I will absolutely be going back and reading those to get even more of the found family feels. Kamila’s characters are charming and have such emotional moments together, I truly felt so immersed!!!

Leo was a DREAM. He is endlessly patient and is truthfully just down bad. Leo was a sweetie with an obsession for Eliza from the start. Not to mention, he’s an incredible chef with tattoos and facial hair. Hello????

Eliza’s guarded heart slowly opened up and it was refreshing to see this done well. She has walls up after the loss of her parents and a relationship that changed her sense of safety. Throughout the book, Eliza fights to let go of the worries of heartbreak and finds ways to choose herself and love for her own happiness.

I cannot express how great of a read this is!! If you want an emotional and heartfelt romance with steamy scenes and tension, this is for you!

"Yes chef" two little words that unlock a whole new world of hot chefs with tattoos and moustaches!

This book wow! I have not read the other two books in the series something I am planning on rectifying.

Eliza is a yoga studio owner and part-time bartender. She has had to drag herself up from her traumatic past and struggles to let people in. She has her crew who she loves fiercely and doesn't really do relationships more like casual one-night stands with men passing through town. She has had one relationship with Colin who is Leo's younger brother. It didn't end well everything that he originally liked about Eliza he tried to change, and when you find out why you will want to hunt him down and slap him (well at least I wanted to)

Leo is a chef with a slutty thigh tattoo and a moustache! (hmmmm food groups) he takes a job at Lake Ridge after being passed over for a promotion he thought he really wanted. He starts to fall back in love with cooking after being given the creative freedom to pick his own menus and use local produce. He enjoys getting to know the locals and designing new seasonal menus. He is always helping out his mum, his brother and those he loves it's how he shows up for the people in his life. He sheltered his brother from the worst of their parents' divorce so that he can have a good relationship with both his mum and dad (not that he deserves anything!). He lives next door to Eliza and has always thought she was awesome. They start hanging out and even though he isn't into casual he changes the rules for her.

Eliza has issues with people she loves leaving and it stops her from wanting to fully put herself out there. Sometimes this trope can be done to death, and you want to just strangle the character through the page. I managed to not have these tendencies in this book and actually enjoyed how it all unfolded when she worked out what she wanted and went to get it.

I absolutely devoured Risk It All! This book had everything I love in a small-town romance and I was hooked from the very first chapter.

Leo and Eliza were pure magic together. The chemistry between them was off the charts and every interaction had me grinning like an idiot. The banter was sharp, flirty, and so much fun, but underneath all that tension was so much heart. I loved how their relationship developed naturally from friendship and attraction into something deeper and more meaningful.

Leo completely stole my heart. A sexy chef who cooks for the woman he loves? Say less. The way he fell first and fell HARD had me swooning every single time he was on the page. He was patient, caring, supportive, and absolutely gone for Eliza. Watching him rethink what success really meant was such a beautiful part of his journey.

Eliza was equally amazing. She was strong, independent, and determined to protect her heart, which made her emotional growth feel so real. Her fears and hesitations were understandable, and seeing her slowly let Leo in made every moment between them even more rewarding.

The small-town setting was cozy and charming, the found family vibes were perfection, and the workplace dynamic added another layer of fun. And can we talk about the tension? The slow build had me kicking my feet, and when things finally happened, the payoff was worth every second of waiting.

This book was sweet, funny, emotional, and seriously swoony with just the right amount of spice. Izabela Kamila delivered a romance that gave me butterflies, made me laugh, and left me with the biggest smile on my face.

If you love ex’s older brother romances, friends-with-benefits that catches feelings, a hero who is completely obsessed, and small-town romance done right, you need this book on your TBR immediately!

This was such a cozy read! It was the exact romance book I was looking for after several stressful fantasy reads lol. Eliza and Leo are the definition of right person, wrong time and I'm so glad they were able to find their way back to each other! The banter, chemistry and tension between the two of them was electric, I was kicking my feet! For a book about friends with benefits, I thought it had a really good balance between spicy, sweet and emotional scenes.

Eliza was a great character - strong, passionate and just so lovable you can't help but root for her! After experiencing several losses in her life and getting out of a relationship where her ex tried to change her, it made sense why she feared commitment and preferred casual hookups instead. As long as she didn't get too close to someone, then she could avoid heartbreak completely. This changes when she reunites with her ex’s older brother Leo, a hopeless romantic, who starts to slowly chip away at her closely guarded heart.

Leo was a green forest MMC - so thoughtful, responsible, supportive, caring and most of all patient. Eliza had some trauma to work through but not once did he ever force her into something she didn't want. He always gave her the time and space she needed even though it hurt him.

Leo and Eliza’s character arcs were so heartwarming. Leo redefining what success and happiness was to him and Eliza realizing that when you find the one who truly sees you it’s worth the risk of heartbreak and pain.

I have not read the previous books in this series, but now I want to go back and read them! I always love a good found family and I’m very interested in the next book about Cooper and Jade’s story!

Spice: 🌶️🌶️

Eliza Hayes has met the new chef at Lake Ridge - the bar she works at - before. Because, after all, it's her ex's older brother. It doesn't matter though, even if they've shared moments of chemistry over the years, because she doesn't do serious relationships. And he's new in town, and this isn't permanent. So there's nothing to worry about, right?

Ahh I loved this book so much. The Golden Falls series is such a favorite of mine, and I don't want to say I have a favorite but this one is so dear to me! We've met Eliza in Jules' and Lily's books, and here we get to see even more how opening up is hard for her. How it's difficult to let someone in, when she's been through so much and fears losing those close to her again.

Enter her ex's older brother - Leo Rivers, and phew, what a man. Their "yes, chef" moments had me grinning, and she's so right about that tattoo + mustache combo. Leo's felt an attraction to Eliza from the start, but it wasn't the right time, and then he had to watch as she dated his brother. Now, Golden Falls is just a stepping stone as he pursues his dreams of running a restaurant. But they can't deny the chemistry in their "one-time" (turned two, then more) moments together.

The ending had my heart aching, the emotions explored in this are so good and I love the journey Eliza and Leo take together. This is an excellent addition to the series (and very interested at the teased moments for Book #4!)

I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest, voluntary review.

Fun, flirty and a little emotional. In this contemporary romance we meet the free spirited and a little jaded Eliza, the yoga instructor and part time bartender, who ends up working with Leo, the chef looking for a chance who also happens to be Eliza's ex's older brother. They had an inkling of a spark long ago, but the timing was off and she ended up with the wrong brother. Fast forward back to the present and the close quarters of the bar and the intimate nature of their small town help bring them back to the cusp of what could have been all those years ago.

The tension between this couple was palpable through the whole first half of the book. The will they or won't they energy had me flipping the pages as fast as I could to see if this was going to become something. Eliza's past emotional trauma shaped her behavior is a very real, albeit heartbreaking way. She needed to get some therapy to deal with her fears, but they were written in such a natural way it was easy to empathize. The dynamic of the woman being the commitment phobe, rather than the man, was a fresher perspective to see as well. We usually see women written as the clingy, needy ones in a situationship, but that was not the case here.

I enjoyed the level of spice, which was moderate, and those scenes were good additions to the developing relationship between the characters. There was a great cast of side characters that were invested the story. The gossip and sharing between Eliza and her besties was very true to real life. I saw myself and my girlfriends in those scenes, sharing about our sex lives and dying for all the details.

This was a good story and a well written small town romance. I think the next book, featuring Eliza's brother Cooper, will be just as great.

Risk It All is the third book in Kamila's Golden Falls series, but it can be appreciated as a standalone. This small town, forced proximity, workplace romance features Eliza Hayes and Leo Rivers.

Eliza owns a yoga studio and teaches classes, but she also bartends at Lake Ridge. She enjoys it and uses it to her advantage to find hook ups. She is not interested in a serious relationship and leans towards men who are just passing through town. Years prior, Eliza had a relationship with Colin. While things started out well, over time she felt like he wanted to change her. Eventually they split up but they still check in with one another every so often.

After losing out on a promotion, Leo moves to Golden Falls to work as the head chef at Lake Ridge. It is not where he thought he'd be, but decided starting over in a small town was best. He sees it as a stepping stone to the career he wants - head chef of a fine dining restaurant in a big city. While he knows Eliza is from this small town, he doesn't know that the owner of the establishment was pointed in his direction by her. She used to be his little brother, Colin's, girlfriend.

Eliza and Leo always had chemistry, but never acted on it. When the two find themselves not only unexpectedly working in the same place but neighbours too, the sexual tension runs high. Eventually recognizing that they're both going to combust, they agree to a friends with benefit situation. While Leo wants more, he knows she doesn't do commitment, and he's planning on leaving town.

This book was a lot of fun to read. I was quickly pulled into the story and remained engaged throughout. I enjoyed the energy between the main characters but also the small town vibes. I have not read the previous books in the series but understand that the couples from those books make appearances in this one. I enjoy series where you revisit past characters; it is like visiting with old friends. It looks like there is a fourth book planned so I hope to have the opportunity to read it, as well as the time to go back and pick up the first two books.

I am in love! Risk it all is a ex’s brother small town romance where we follow our FMC Eliza as she finds her footing in the small town of golden falls and our MMC Leo as he returns home to work as a cook in a small town. We watch through their eyes as old tension between the two starts to rise again and as they are both stuck in each other’s proximity. We watch as history from three years ago catches up to them.

I am so obsessed with Eliza and Leo! Like are you kidding me. I loved both these characters so much. It was honestly so fun getting to know these two. Eliza was such a powerhouse and I loved seeing her softer side throughout this book! I also just loved seeing her with her girls!! I love a good girl group! I also really enjoyed Leo’s character. Watching him with Eliza was everything but then also seeing him with his brother was so incredible! Both these characters have such a mature emotional connection and it’s genuinely to amazing to see them together!

I’ve never been so happy to be back in Golden Falls!! Izabela Kamila has done it again! Absolute masterpiece. The way Izabela is able to write these books ughhhh so good! I genuinely felt everything in this book and I could not put it down at all! Definitely my favorite in this series! It was also so damn good to see all our previous characters! They all still hold such a special spot place in my heart!! I’m genuinely so excited to see what Izabela comes up with next because I know it’s going to be amazing!

Overall, I had such an amazing time with this book! Thank you so much Izabela Kamila and Luna Literary for the amazing ARC! I can’t wait to read more! 🍳🥃❤️

Risk It All completely stole my heart.

Golden Falls is the kind of small town that makes you want to pack your bags and never leave. The community, the friendships, the atmosphere… it felt so cozy and easy to fall into.

Eliza was such a fun heroine to follow. She’s confident, sarcastic, and knows exactly who she is, but underneath all of that she’s carrying more than she lets people see. I loved watching her open herself up throughout the story while still staying true to herself.

And Leo? Book boyfriend material.

He’s a talented chef, endlessly caring, and the type of hero who quietly puts everyone else first. The more I learned about him, the more I adored him. His patience, loyalty, and the way he showed up for the people he loves made him impossible not to fall for.

The chemistry between Leo and Eliza was one of my favourite parts of this book. The tension was there from the beginning, but what I loved most was how natural their connection felt. Their relationship developed in a way that felt believable, emotional, and genuinely sweet.

This story balances romance and emotional depth so well. Both characters are dealing with past hurts, grief, and fears about letting someone in, and I loved seeing them slowly find comfort and strength in each other. Their growth individually and as a couple made the romance even more rewarding.

And yes… the spice definitely delivered. 🌶️🤭

Overall, this was such an enjoyable read filled with small-town charm, emotional moments, great chemistry, and a couple I couldn’t stop rooting for.

This story tackles some incredibly difficult topics, including the loss of parents, strained family relationships, and the lingering effects of grief, yet somehow still manages to feel hopeful, warm, and lighthearted. Watching Eliza navigate her fears of loving and caring for someone after losing her parents was both heartbreaking and inspiring. At the same time, Leo is dealing with his complicated relationship with his brother, Colin...who also happens to be Eliza's ex-boyfriend. 👀 Talk about messy.

What really made this book shine for me was the relationship between Eliza and Leo. Their connection felt so natural and authentic from the very beginning. Their first meeting was the perfect example of "right person, wrong time," and getting to watch them finally find their way back to each other was incredibly satisfying. I loved that their story wasn't just about falling in love. We also got to see them grow individually, heal old wounds, and become better versions of themselves along the way. That personal growth made their relationship feel even more meaningful.

And let's be honest...a man who loves to cook and uses food as his love language is already halfway to becoming a book boyfriend. Add in the tattoos and Leo never really stood a chance. 😍
This was such an enjoyable read that felt genuine, heartfelt, and full of characters I couldn't help but root for. Golden Falls continues to charm me, and I cannot wait to spend more time in this world.

P.S. This is me being greedy but I would absolutely devour a novella told from the knitting club's perspective as they watch all of these romances unfold. And while we're at it, can we please get more Ray and Louise? I adored both of them. ❤️

I first want to thank Luna Literacy for the ability to review this book.

I have not read the other books at all so this will be a standalone review. I felt immersed in Golden Falls. The story is set in a small town in the Midwest where Chicago is a small few hour drive away. The town was instantly welcoming l, which is a characteristic I like when authors do small town. The town that dislikes the outsider is a little overused.
Now the main characters …
Eliza is the girl I want to be friends with and have girl night with . She’s outspoken, honest and loyal to the end. She loves a good zinger and had me laughing . I really liked the layer of her dating the brother and then we learn more about her. Eliza is the forever single — you can stay 10 feet away from my heart girl with a beautiful independent streak. ( that part I can relate to ) so when she struggles with her feelings I’ve been there — the right person just has a way of sneaking up on you .

Leo is the steady loyal man that is wonderful to be loved by . He is hardworking , caring and has the right amount of emotional intelligence to see through Eliza. He was patient with their chance and had more willpower than the person. He is a master chef that is chasing his passion across the states at a job that has not learned to love him back. When he got to the town I smiled big when they mentioned the menus, and all these other reasons for him to stay .

Ohh and who doesn’t love a good rooftop scene . That was seriously 🔥🔥🔥

Here are tropes of the above didn’t hook you :
🌟second chance
🌟Ex ‘s older brother
🌟slow burn
🌟small town

Leo Rivers- ex’s brother, head chef at Lake Ridge, falls first and falls hard
Eliza Hayes- owns a yoga studio and bartending at Lake Ridge.
Eliza has no interest in having a committed relationship ever since her ex couldn’t except her for who she is, now she’s content with flirting with tourists. That’s until her ex boyfriend’s brother comes back to town and becomes her new neighbor and coworker at Lake Ridge.
Leo Rivers becomes head chef at Lake Ridge after being turned down for a promotion, even though it’s not where he thought he’d be Lake Ridge is just a stop along the way. He didn’t plan for his brothers ex girlfriend who he almost kissed 3 years ago to still be in town. The feelings are still there with a voice saying that’s my brothers ex girlfriend but when all the late nights and all the cute banter and love language of cooking for her, creates off the chart chemistry and the the match is lite and Leo and Eliza decide on Friends with Benefits. But with time the connection is something that can’t be pretend. Leo and Eliza has some choices to make. I love the way Leo chooses what makes him happy and I love the way Eliza has an epiphany and realizes what she needs to do.
This is first Izabela Kamila book I’ve read and it being the 3rd in the series, I’m going to go back and read the first 2. Because this one had me hooked from the banter and tension to Leo making sure Eliza ate something other than bar snacks when she was at work.
If you enjoy a small town, workplace romance that has a man who cooks for her this book is for you.
