One part lesfic sex romp, one part second coming out equals a short erotic novel. I would have liked a longer book which dealt with a woman traumatized by coming out at sixteen. Andy meets Melanie ten years later and the second coming out is a big fat family drama rerun. I liked the romance (sex so stellar it makes these lesbian lovers hot as hell) storyline. Sure, it is love at first sight. Sure, the lovers fight and then make more wild love. The storyteller does right by these two women. As a novella, some plot details and secondary characters are lightly drawn. Still, there is more depth than should be possible given space limitations. This demonstrates how talented this writer really is. The only plotline which failed to be taken seriously was the one referred to in the title. Though they lend dramatic conflict as written, the coming out stories can't come to life without more pages for the telling. I liked the book as written and loved the one that could have been.
