Wiersbe is succinct and practical. His writing is personal much like a pastor as he was. Don't expect exegesis, this could not be done in one volume. It's good for general overview, devotional and ideas.

This is good. And it is nice. After spending a year with Barclay's commentaries, Wiersbe's 2 volumes seem best suited to the young American Christian. Each section is a fine daily devotional, but very little stands out as MUST READ, wouldn't grow in faith without it. Either spend more time for yourself in the Word, or...No. Just spend more time in with Jesus—not people who know about Jesus.
