Pony Soldiers #6

Sioux Slaughter

Rate this book
With inhuman strength fueled by a fierce hatred of the white man, Running Bear's tribe began a bloody campaign to massacre every settler living near Fort Hays. Scalping, looting, and raping, they would not stop until every man, woman, and child had been tortured and brutally killed.

Colt Harding was the unchallenged leader of the Army's tough bunch of misfits-the Lightning Troop. Harding and his men fought fire with fire, and demanded an eye for an eye, a death for a death. Fearless and proud, they would die before letting the Sioux warriors live to boast of their victories.

I didn't realize when I bought it that it was part of a series. I've not read any others in the series. It was well written but there wasn't a lot of plot to the story. I didn't particularly care for the characters and a sudden 180 degree turn one female character made at the end of the book. Perhaps some of the earlier ones in the series might have been better to me. This was number 6.
