Okay hang on you won’t want to put it down get comfortable oh and you will need your favorite bottle of wine, favorite snacks. Elie and Damien meet because she is trying to leave a cruel ex. while running. Of course, Damien comes to her rescue, which leads to one night to passion no names or contacts, but she walked away with his gift, the best part of him. Fast forward she is now his executive assistant the magnetic pull is still there and just as strong thus begins the rollercoaster ride because he is cold, unable to connect with others, zero interest in love or so he keeps telling himself yet he can’t walk away especially after finally remembering who she is but when he does things start to flow a little better but how will he feel about his son, will he accept him, will he be upset with her, where are they headed, and maybe they are headed to happiness?
Ellie and her sister Rachel go to a masquerade ball/ party as Ellie is drowning her sorrows as she'd recently split up with her boyfriend Dylan after he'd cheated on her. Dylan confronts Ellie as the party, and both Ellie and Rachel give as good as they get. A guy in swoops in to 'rescues' Ellie. He takes her to a private room, they chat, have a drink together, and he asks her name. and he invites her to a party on the roof, even providing a dress. they go to the roof, walk around a bit, and leave. They have a one night stand and as soon as it's done, he dresses and leaves, he runs away(twat) Bearing in mind this is his apartment, in his hotel.
fast forward 5 years, Ellie has a son Luca, and she's working 3 jobs to get by.
Now, onto my issues....
1) In the title is a silver fox billionaire romance, to me, a silver fox is a guy in his 50s, maybe 60's, not a guy who is 38 years old.
2) Damien says in chapter 5 to Diego that he didn't get her name. He did. Given and nickname
3) In another chapter, Damien is showing Ellie her office, and he tells Ellie that there is a dress for her to wear for her evening work.
4) Diego and Damien are absolutely disgusting men. They way they talk about women is awful.
This is a severe case of Cinderella meets Cinderfella at a masquerade party in Vegas. What happens in Vegas does remain in Vegas, but does impact life trajectories. The fact Ellie and Damien can't seem to connect any dots when they meet without the masks is difficult to believe. Both claim it was the best encounter of their lives and can't seem to recall some very key details they could have use to track each other down or simply identify each other when they run into each other again requires a significant amount of suspension of disbelief.
Despite the difficulty believing some of the key details to the plot, the hardest part about getting into the story is contradictions in details such as Damien's coffee order or repeat in presentation of items.
If you like a mysterious one-night stand story and are able to ignore the exchange of some very key details the main characters seem to just forget until they finally connect the dots, this is a good read. If not, maybe skip this one.

I DNF’d this at around 41%, which is a real shame because there were moments where I found it entertaining and wanted to enjoy it more.
Unfortunately, I struggled to stay immersed due to the number of inconsistencies and mistakes throughout the book. They pulled me out of the story repeatedly, to the point where I couldn’t fully settle into the characters or the plot, no matter how much I tried to push through.
There’s an engaging idea here and flashes of fun, but for me the execution made it difficult to stay connected to the story. Ultimately, it just wasn’t the right fit for me as a reader.
So at the time of writing this, I'm 70% into the book. By 10%, I'd already realized this book was trash and was planning to DNF. I ended up continuing out of curiosity -- y'know, in the watching a car crash way. I mean, I really wasn't expecting a book called "Accidental Boss Daddy" to be good (the bar was low, like Mariana Trench low), but this was extra bad.
I'm kind of surprised a guy like Damien is the MMC in this book, because men of his type are typically the toxic, asshole ex that the FMC was damaged by in other books. I mean, if chauvinistic men who treat women like Barbies and blow up dolls are your thing, then maybe this book is for you.
I'm surprised this guy even has time for romance. Shouldn't he be drowning in lawsuits? He makes it a job requirement for his assistants to have sex with him, and it's in writing, in a contract. At one point they loudly have sex in her office with the door open. A little sneaky office fun can be hot, but the key word there is SNEAKY. Holy hell I would be so fucking uncomfortable working in that place. How is he not up to his ears in sexual harassment claims? He and his coworker/best friend both have these clauses apparently, and the way they talk about their assistants (and women in general) is honestly disgusting. They're pigs.
In addition to the sex requirement, Ellie is forced to walk around in revealing, non-work-appropriate clothing all day, even though the sex is required after normal work hours. A female coworker that Ellie meets warns her to only wear the clothes he bought her, because he has a photographic memory and he will know. He then proceeds to not recognize her outfits twice in a row and complains about them. This all comes after a couple of those typical shopping scenes you see in romance novels where the MMC takes the FMC to get a whole new wardrobe, but this time it's less about the "she's the best, so only the best for her!!!" and more like "all her clothes are ugly and don't make me want to fuck her, and women in pants are gross."
The entire idea is make Ellie into his perfect mold of a woman. It's even mentioned several times that she should be focusing on what he wants, not what she wants. And if she's uncomfortable parading through a strip club in lingerie as his arm candy? Too bad, 'cause she'll be fired if she tries to draw the line. "Word by word, step by step, pouty glance by pouty glance, I'm learning all of this. I'm learning how to act, how to look, how to stand, how to walk, how to speak." Yeah, all of that totally sounded sane and healthy. No red flags to be found there!
He's also really fucking weird about names. I got whiplash from all the "call me Damien" and "did I say you can call me Damien? D:<" And he's got a weird vendetta against nicknames, because they're "sloppy and lazy." Like, what the actual fuck kind of logic is that? WHAT DID THE NICKNAMES DO TO YOU DAMIEN? HOW DID THEY HURT YOU? Doesn't stop him from hypocritically slipping into calling Ellie by her nickname though, after disrespecting her for most of the first half of the book by refusing to use her preferred name. But Damien has respect for nobody, especially not Ellie, so whatever I guess.
And when she's upset with him? Well she shouldn't be, because "getting dolled up and ogled over should have helped." Because nothing cheers a woman up like being paraded half dressed through a strip club filled with horny, leering men. If she's not into that, that's a her problem I guess.
There's also a point where Damien is shocked that Elllie, a woman, was mentoring a man at a previous job. Yeah.
This book is just insanely cringey and poorly written. Damien and his bestie deserve to die alone. Ellie is an idiot for wanting him. I'm not sure if I'm going to finish this. It's fascinating in a shitshow kind of way, but it's also sapping my will to live with every page I read. So we'll see.
Sometimes I have a problem with romances because of the total improbability of the scenarios presented in them.Ellie has a one night stand with Damien which results in her pregnancy. 5 yrs later as a struggling single mom she is given the chance to have a significant step up in earnings when she interviews with a Vegas Hotelier for his PA. Naturally this turns out to be her mystery baby daddy. The catch is that he lets it be known in the interview that he expect his PA to be on call at his whim and to be his sexual partner as part of the deal. She is so broke and wants to help her sister so she accepts the contract. I wouldn't prostate myself so I could give my sister money for IVF treatments and I don't believe there are very many people who would, nor many sisters that would want you to do that. But when your electricity is disconnected I'm sure that would help a person lean toward accepting the contract. So I am not sold on the premise for her coming into his orbit. Also how can she not know who he is after their 1st sexual encounter under the contract, when he left such a lasting impression on their first encounter and we are lead to believe that she has had little to no sex at least since her child was born. Then there are the protagonists. How could the guy that held the same position as she did when she quit her job after finding out he cheated on her later be in such financial good fortune as to build his own hotel. It costs many millions to build such a property in Vegas. Since we find out that he was forced to leave his position where they used to work because he couldn't cut it without her, where did he get any where near that kind of money, because realistically he has none and could not get investors, if he cousin;t even keep an event planning job. So no I definitely don't believe any of the story line that involves him, which unfortunately is quite a lot. Also it annoys me when authors drop out of storytelling and into talking to the reader by writing things like :you can imagine it. We'll maybe I can but as an author you should also be able to describe it without being to verbose.
WOW! This story is well developed and there are very unique characters. You will want to take their journey. You have a Damien is a rich billionaire mid-to late 40’s who owns hotels, a gentleman’s club. He is motivated, successful and is single. He is serious, no nonsense, fit but not overly muscle bound. He doesn’t have feelings so they (his employees) say. He doesn’t allow himself to get attached to anyone or to care about anyone. Annalise, who likes to go by Ellie is at a charity masquerade event that her sister brought her to. She gets embarrassed by her ex-boyfriend and he gets into an altercation with her and her drink spills. Damien sees this and takes her away to clean up. Damien is actually quite taken with her. Ellie is beautiful, curvy, sexy hot to Damien. But she also has a great personality and is warm, good natured and well liked. She has so much compassion to friends, colleagues and family. She is intelligent, witty, sarcastic when warranted, motivated and wants to succeed. They have electricity, a magnetic draw to each other. On this night she doesn’t want to think about anything. One night - neither giving nor getting names. They never remove their masks so they do not know each other’s identity. One night - scorching hot and sexy. And that’s when the story get’s even more interesting, intriguing, sizzling, spicy and even hotter!!! The story is filled with emotions - anger, caring, deception, defeat, loss, passion, playfulness, romance, sadness, surprises, twists and turns and the ultimate love. It’s a really enthralling and totally fascinating read. An amazing story that I think you will enjoy!.

Accidental Boss Daddy is a steamy contemporary romance whose MFC Ellie has been dragged to a masked charity gala by her sister who is trying to keep Ellie’s spirits up after a recent breakup. Things become tense when the Ex shows up with the woman he dumped her for on his arm. Words are spoken and a masked hero steps in to extricate Ellie from the unpleasantness. After good conversation and being attracted to each other they spend the evening together but she never finds out his name, and he leaves her abruptly after a steamy encounter. Fast forward five years and Ellie is the mother of a five year old son, Luca and searching for a decent job. Recommended to Damien Graves for a full service personal assistant position that will soon bring both their pasts crashing into both their futures, only they haven’t recognized each other yet! It was agony waiting for the bells to go off! It took me awhile to get into Damien because he came across as a real tool due in part to his past issues that got in the way, while Ellie was a total sweetheart. The story was nicely written with drama, surprises, family dynamics, corporate intrigue, emotion, and passion that kept me engaged all the way to their HEA.

I typically don’t read romances with the tropes in the title but I was in a small slump and decided to read it bc the blurb hooked me. Honestly I loved it , I’m not a reader who has a lot of criticism and I don’t dnf often but I really did like this book it was cute and an easy read. One thing that stood out to me was something that actually really bothers me in other books.
They always have the FMC splashing their faces with water in the bathroom of these events, galas, clubs ect when the night has barely begun. It’s wholly unrealistic and I know no woman who spent time getting ready would do that. So to this authors credit, they didn’t. She even acknowledged that she wouldn’t go as far as to splash water on her face and ruin her makeup. Now that’s real and relatable.
A great read! I love the story-line with Ellie & Damien. They connect at a masquerade party & have an amazing night. Fast forward 5 yrs. Ellie is looking for a job & applies for a personal assistant. The job description is very unique & is offered this position. Damien & Ellie do not realize they connected at a masquerade party years ago. Damien didn’t remember her name & he didn’t share any info to her. Life gets really interesting while working with Damien but someone is stealing his staff. Damien & Ellie are falling in love. The emotions within these pages range from sizzling hot to stone cold. A few twists to this story which will keep you invested in wondering on the outcome of this love story. Well written & I love the ending.

Wow, what do I say about this book, other than I loved it!. So much so that I couldn't put it down and read it in one sitting - minus a few 'breaks' Emotional with plenty of angst and drama. This is Ellie and Damien's story and one you won't forget. A billionaire hotel owner who is closed off emotionally and has no interest in love. A chance encounter at a masked ball brings them together. A night to remember without either knowing the other's contact info. Fate brings them together five years later and she becomes his assistant. Plot twists, secrets revealed, an ex from hell, corporate sabotage and more. No spoilers, but a great read, you don't want to miss. An HEA and no cliffhanger. I read a free arc via the author and voluntarily chose to review it.
A sexy encounter with a masked stranger? I'm so there! Ellie is sassy and witty—the perfect challenge for Damien, the demanding and protective boss. This story took a turn I was not expecting and left me completely and utterly shocked—in the best way. I was not really sure what a "full-service" executive assistant was, but damn, that was hot! It was comical how her doing exactly what he wanted drove him absolutely mad. Between the scandalous indulgences, surprising secrets, and the sizzling, hot chemistry, I was addicted. Mia Mara has blown me away with this silver fox billionaire romance. Truly another masterpiece!

Ellie meets Damien at an event when her ex is being cruel to her. She shares an amazing time with Damien, and they go their separate ways. Ellie is looking for a better job so she can provide better for her son and ends up working as an executive assistant to none other than Damien. Sparks reignite between them, but she has a secret he doesn't know about. As they grow closer someone is out to cause trouble between them and it leads to a misunderstanding between them. Can Damien convince her to stay with him? Will they get a second chance to be together?
This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.
“Accidental Boss Daddy” is another great read from Mia Mara. This workplace, billionaire boss story is full of excellent writing that is well-paced throughout. The surprises, twists, and characters lead the story and held my interest throughout. The characters are well-written with depth and layers. Ellie and Damien make a compelling couple. They have a steamy connection that is full of many push-pull dynamics. I loved that their journey kept me guessing as to what would happen next as they tried to find their happy ever after. “Accidental Boss Daddy” is recommended and a worthy read.

When they finally realize that they had spent the night together they are in another complicated mess. Then there relationship is sabotaged and it looks like there is no coming back. This book has twist and turns and a lot of steamy scenes. It’s a really good read that has you rooting for the main characters from the start. This was a fantastic read.

There is something magnetic and addictive when it comes to reading romance books written by Mia. The cover is HOT, but the chemistry between Damien and Ellie is sparkling. This romance book has a spark of heat when it comes to the romance. Loved the trope, single mom vibe and the off-limits workplace romance. This is hands down one heck of a 5-star romance book with some intense moments that keeps your heart beating in anticipation of what is going to happen especially when Dylan shows back up. Does Damien step up and save Ellie? What does Ellie do? Those questions and more will be answered when you devour this book.
It’s a story built on a classic trope (accidental parenthood meets workplace tension), but the author gives it emotional depth and character charm to keep it from feeling formulaic. The writing is engaging that feels natural and warm. The banter and tension are equal parts believable but with WTF moments. This is very much an escapist story. The boss-employee narrative is paced well and dramatically so. This story is written with a dash of heart and chaos rolled into one.

They meet at a masked party and their path begins. Ellie is trying to get over a hurtful relationship she runs into her ex and Damien comes to her rescue. It leads to an intimate encounter with no contact information giving but lasting repercussions lands when Ellie finds herself expecting. They reconnect when she becomes his assistant and their journey really begins filled with emotional ups and downs and heated passion that kept me glued to the pages and cheering this couple on to getting their chance for happiness.

I really liked this book, it was a rather lovely enjoyable read. However, what was a bit incongruence was that Ellie's comfortable off sister's insistence that having a baby was all she really wanted, but then paying a small fortune to get married and then bemoaning that she can't afford IVF. Perhaps try dialling it back bridezilla and use the money to pay for IVF instead of your stoney broke sister having to offer to pay. Level of entitlement there was not a good look. Other than that gripe it's a great read.
OK, first off let’s say it’s mutton, but it’s a book you ever had a book where you go you don’t hate it. You just wanted more. It took me a moment to catch the plot twist and I liked that and I loved the love and the understanding with Luca. I just wanted the twists to be a little bit more twisty and I know that’s greedy as a reader because she gives you multiple twist. Don’t get me wrong. There’s a couple of them that you go. Ok all in all I’mma say it’s a good book and I’m glad the sister was a sister.
There were many errors and inconsistencies that detract from an already questionable story. At one point, the FMC's dress changes from gold to turquoise to green in the span of a few pages. The FMC goes from just meeting a side character to knowing her very well without any passing of time. The characters' traits are not consistent, and there are many phrases and ideas repeated in a way that seems unintentional. I don't typically want to give such poor reviews, but it is weird that there is no editing or proofreading.
'When my ex comes back for revenge? My boss makes one thing very clear— What’s his …isn’t up for negotiation.'
The plot was well written and developed. World building was excellent and impressive. The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Accidental Boss Daddy by Mia Mara is an unusual tale about a single mother who is down on her luck until she agrees to be a personal assistant with “benefits”. Her new boss ends up being a one night stand that resulted in her son but neither of them know this. While the premise is a little out there, it was unique. The characters were wonderfully written making the story quite a page turner. Great read.

I liked some of this book meaning the characters were interesting, but it's like they get amnesia about half way through the book. I don't know, it's like two different people were writing it and one forgot to read the first part before finishing the second part. Also, I feel like if you are going to make a s** club in Vegas part of your story you are going to write it better and more scalations than this author pair did. It had potential but missed the mark.
The book was very good. Really liked how the author portrayed the MMC as untouchable by love until the FMC. Damien and Ellie just make sense. I figured out the plot twist early on but it didn't turn me off from reading it because dear lord the spice was spicy. So I gave it slightly higher in spice count then most books I read. Would recommend this.
Not just not knowing he was a father, but his new hire was the woman from the charity gala. A woman he couldn't forget, but after 6 years he stilled dreamt of her. She didn't realized who he was either. I thought the contractual agreement was a nice touch in the story. I enjoyed the banter between them as they fell in love. Once the truth came out of the betrayal he blamed her for, they got their HEA.
This story had me hooked from the start, I loved it couldn't put it down, the chemistry between the two lead characters was amazing and the way there story developed was so lovey. The betrayal near the end had my heartbreaking. Didn't want the story to end.

It wasn’t terrible but the editing was. With pretty much all of her books I’ve noticed timelines are always screwed up and many things contradict previous chapters. I really do enjoy the ideas of her books but I do think the editing/inconsistencies ruins the story. This one in particular I noticed a lot of inconsistencies.
I really enjoyed this book. Ellie was upset with her ex and spent the night with a stranger. The ex destroys her life, but when she finally gets a new job, it has certain job requirements. The heat grows, boundaries are crossed and the past comes back to bite them. Great read.
