I really liked this story. Adam works for the government and was on a job when he met Kate who was an artist and had paintings in a gallery. They started dating and he was sent away unexpectedly to Columbia by his boss. Although, he left messages for Kate trying to explain why he left, she never got them. 18 months later, he shows up on her door needing a safe place. This book kept me interested from beginning to end. The corruption of politics and the things they do for them to clean up and get recognition is crazy. Quick and interesting read.

I’ve read a lot of her books & this one is the best yet. Every book keeps getting better and better. You know it’s a good book when there’s jaw dropping plot twists, great side characters, and incredibly relatable main characters. Kate is a great example of digging oneself out of a dark place and putting themselves first. I think many of the readers can relate to her on some level. I cannot wait to read Ronan story in the future 😍

This is a nice romance story about second chances. But if you're looking for any spice, this book is not it. Spice level zero. The story itself is well written though with good characters.
