She's waiting. He's coming. And nothing in creation is going to stop him. Xenefier took Oracle. Took their unborn child. Thought that would break the Godslayer. It just made him angry. Jax has spent months hunting Soul Anchors, binding divine fragments, and building the power he needs to tear reality apart if that's what it takes. Now the final pieces are falling into place. The Library of Souls is within reach. Godhood is on the horizon. But the path to divinity is paved with impossible choices. Cities will burn. Gods will fall. Friends will be asked to sacrifice everything. And Jax will have to decide how much of his soul he's willing to trade for the power to save the woman he loves. Xenefier has survived since before the gods existed. It's devoured civilizations, corrupted pantheons, and destroyed everyone who ever got close to the truth. But Jax isn't everyone. The empire rises. The darkness falls. And the Godslayer earns his name. This is the final book in the UnderVerse Saga. A Dark Fantasy Epic LitRPG. Expect graphic violence, strong language, and morally complex themes. Reader discretion is advised.
Divinity Denied was an okay read for me, but I definitely struggled to connect with it. There were some interesting ideas and I could see where the story was trying to go, but I never really found myself fully invested. I didn't dislike it, but I also wasn't desperate to pick it back up, and for me that makes it hard to give it more than three and a half stars. There’s definitely potential here, it just didn't quite click for me personally. Still, I'm glad I gave it a try, and I'm curious to see where the story goes from here.
It's been a long road but we got here and what an ending it was. From brawler to God we followed Jax through a lot and of course we felt his pain and lived his new world. With so many engaging characters and such a detailed world this was always going to be on my paperback/ebook and audio collection trifecta. Now we have reached the end Im glad we still have other series but this one will always have a special place in my heart.
It had to come to and end, and Jez Cajiao made it as action packed and satisfying as I knew he would. Is this the second longest work of fiction I’ve ever read? Yes. Am I going to wallow in the fact that it is over and that I have to find something new to read? Also yes, but I’ll need to take some time for grief first.
What an incredible finish to a fantastic series. I couldn't wait to see how everything wrapped up, but now that it's over, I'm genuinely sad to leave this world behind. one of the best best books I've read this year.
Gods looking into the future, who would expect that to blow up in their faces? Disparate race against time and evil, just a regular Tuesday! Time to save the realm!
I love this series. I think in a way, Jax is our spirit animal. Irreverent, loyal to a fault, stands for what is right no matter the cost…everyone wants to be Jax. That is why the series just works. Well done Jez, well done.
Då har man efter något år eller tre slutför denna serien. Det är inte något mästerverk. MEN det är en underhållande och fartfylld serie med en hel del skön dialog. Kanske lite gubbig men samtidigt har den glimten i ögat.
I’ve loved Underverse, it’s been one of my favorites since Brightblade. If you’re starting at book 12, you’re weird, go back and read the others. If you’re like me though and are ready to see how it all winds up, you’ll be happy to read this one. It’s an ending worth reading, no spoilers, just read the dang thing!
