Biography

MATT SHAW was born, quite by accident (his mother tripped, he shot out) September 30th 1980 in Winchester hospital where he was immediately placed on the baby ward and EBay. Some twelve years later (wandering the corridors of the hospital and playing with road kill when he was on day release), the listing closed and he remained unsold, he was booted out of the hospital to start his life as a writer and hobbit – beginning with writing screenplays and short stories for his own amusement before finally getting published when he was twenty-seven years and forty-five seconds old.

Once Published weekly in a lad's magazine with his photography work, Matt Shaw is also a published author and cartoonist. Has to be said, can be a bit of a flirt and definitely, without a shadow of a doubt, somewhat of a klutz.

Another riveting story from the mind of Matt Shaw.

It is, quite literally, what it says on the cover; the uncensored ramblings of a man in the final few hours of his life before facing Old Sparky. Quite a dark story and yet the Shaw dry wit manages to shines through. This is only a short read but still contains all the elements which Shaw's readers have come to expect from his writing.

Written from his tiny cell on death row, serial killer Ed Boothe chronicles the details of his murderous career from his first kill to his capture.
He’s not begging forgiveness from the families, trying to get right with Jesus, or campaigning for a pardon from the governor. He reminisces about his life, and his crimes, simply because he has nothing better to do.

You'll definitely want a shower after reading the things that make this serial killer tick. This dark diary includes details of his various kills, methods of corpse disposal, keepsakes, sexual urges & fulfillment, and the emotions that Ed Boothe experienced through it all.

Another Great Read From Matt Shaw!

After reading both Sick and Sick'er Bastards I really expected this book to be similar in style and approach, but was delighted to find that Mr. Shaw is a masterful storyteller with a knack for timing and style getting the most bang for his buck in every story I have read of his thus far. If you are a horror fan with a good sense of humor and aren't easily shocked or disturbed then you must give Matt Shaw a chance to become your next favorite horror author!

An okay read but to be honest compared to Matts other books this is pretty weak. Not a strong story. Ed didn't come across that interesting and the murders were mostly brushed over. I'm not really sure what the book was trying to achieve that hasn't already been done before and much better in other books written by the author. Hay ho.

Second time around, I realize that the compact size of the story actually hinders it. The balance between shock and interesting plot would have made for a stellar novel. Regardless, the plot is still interesting and the psychology of the main character is somewhere between taunting and inquisitive.
