DRAGON DEAREST !!!
Absolutely delicious and so darn good! Heart Of The Dragon is the third book in Her Dragon's Bane Series by Harmony Raines and I just love it! Who doesn't love dragons? Right? The story is exciting, thrilling, riveting, compelling, addictive, original, romantic, arousing, sensual and steamy. The dialog is smart, well written and flows smoothly. The characters are fascinating, captivating, imaginative, engaging and sexy. Serena has lived a miserable and violent existence. Having been born to a selfish and uncaring mother, she now finds herself and her sister Charlotte, basically sold into slavery to Samuel, an evil and violent man. Serena has been beaten, tortured, abused and branded and has always submitted to the demands of the evil Samuel, all to protect her precious little sister. But the one thing he never took was her virginity. That he needed to entrap the dragon. Sexy Connor, a magnificent dragon, is 3000 years old and he's tired of being alone. He has no one but his younger brother, Zoah. He desperately wants a child. And he wants Serena. He knows she's his mate but he also knows that she has lied to him about how and why she has come to him. Yes, she was still a virgin and in order to conceive, his mate must be a virgin and he must be the one to take her virginity on the moon alter. But he has watched her for quite some time and knows she has secrets. He has secretly watched the men torture and abuse her and if she would only open herself to him, tell him her secrets, he would help her. In Book 2, Serena has given her heart and her trust to Connor and now she carries his child. Beautiful maiden-check! Mystery, suspense and danger-check! Romance, angst and steamy sex-check! I laughed! I cried! I actually sobbed like a big baby! But in the end, I was left happy, entertained and totally satisfied. Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Heartless
Not enough history. What was ritual mates? Will not read story about the brother. Just lost the build up to what could have been a better story. Glad it was under unlimited.

I really tried to like this book, but there wasn't much of a pace and many characters central to the plot just remained unexplained or 2 dimensional. A pity as got the full set for this story

Centuries ago an evil witch stole his heart stone and left him to turn herself immortal and leaving him to become a bitter heartless dragon/man. Now Connor needs something from him but will he ever believe in true mates again? Will one or all three of them (yes Serena carries Connor's son) die in this place no human knows exists? And what part does the witch, Tara play in their destiny? The find the answers you will have to read, this the 3rd book in the best selling series Her Dragon's Bane. The writing is outstanding. The characters are sympathetic and well developed. The ongoing storyline is engaging and has turns and twists you'll never see coming. Highly recommended.

Excellent as ALWAYS!!!!
I looked at some of the reviews prior to mine and noticed what must be a lack of creative thought processes or ANY scope of analytical or emotional judgment....
The story is multi-faceted, with insight into what indeed makes a human mate immortal, while at the same time, only giving us the gist of it. To go further in the explanation would have too much and not important to the story.
If like me, you enjoy love.... Eternal love, just for the sake, or thought of it; then you will love this book.
As Harmony ALWAYS shows through her remarkable prose; Love does conquer all!

Third part of the Heart of the dragon
This was a fantastic finale to a fantastic story. After enduring so much Connor and Serena finally found the secret of immortality. To achieve it they both had To go through trials where we meet a Minotaur and mermaids. I can't wait to read Zoah and Charlotte's story. Highly recommended

Closure Finally
Finally the conclusion to the Serena and Conner tale. Centered around intrigue and mystery follow along as they conquer obstacles to keep their family safe and together. Strong character development makes for a well written story.

Suspense, trials, a Minotaur and mermaids?! Who knew?! Connor, Serena and Tara are in for a lot of twists and turns when they arrive in Spellholm. Connor and Tara both find out things about their pasts that will impact their present. And Serena, well...her love will be "tested". Enjoyable as the previous two books but the horrid editing, and I'm not talking about the UK spelling, continues to be just as terrible as it was in books one and two. I'm on to Love of he Dragon...I would hope Raines has fired or hired an editor.

Although this is fantasy and an excellent read, it does remind us all that there is true love and that if a couple trusts each other and will work together they can also find their happily ever after! Thanks for the great story and characters, I loved it and I'm looking forward to diving into Zoah and Charlotte's story!

Connor, Serena, and Tara travel to another land...where other dragons exist. Connor didn't realize he and Zoah weren't the last of the dragons, so he has several shocking discoveries coming. The trials are amazing to read. I really enjoyed this ending to the first part of this series.
