I love books. Not just a little bit, but a lot. Books were my best friends when I was growing up. Books didn’t care if I was new to a town or to a class. They were always there, my trustiest of companions. Until they turned on me and said I had to write them.

I can tell you that my own personal happily ever after included writing books. I’ve always said that an HEA is a work in progress. It’s true in my marriage, my friendships, and in my career. I am constantly nurturing my muse as we dive into new tales, new tropes, new characters and more.

After seventeen years back in Texas, we relocated to the Pacific Northwest in search of seasons, new experiences, and new geography. I can’t wait to discover what life (and my muse) have in store for me.

Maybe writing was always my destiny and romance my fate. After all, my grandmother wasn’t a fan of picture books and used to read me her Harlequin Romance novels.

Friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, friends to enemies to lovers, you name it, I love them and love to write them. I started with Earth Witches Aren’t Easy, the first in the Chance Monroe trilogy, but my characters and I have traveled a long way since I created that urban fantasy world.

One of the series I hear my readers recommend the most is the Untouchable series followed in quick succession by the Vandals, and that just delights me. No lie, whenever one of my readers brings up my wolves, I do a little a fist pump.

I’m active on social media, and I love hearing from readers. Feel free to tag me with a question about any of my books, or just say hi!

A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review
Take 5 incredible authors and tell them to write a werewolf story and you end up in very different places but they are all incredible. Some of these fantastic tales takes place in an established series but they can be read standalone.
Wolf Next Door by Heather Long –This story takes place among the wolves of Willow Bend. This is a second chance romance done Werewolf style. Claire Webster has grown up and into the wolf she could be. Tyler claimed her as his mate when she was 5 and he was 6 will he still claim her now? I am a huge fan of Heather Long and she hasn’t let us down this time either.
Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde – A young werewolf female coming into her own with choices to make that will affect not just her pack. I absolutely adored the characters and look forward to further adventures in this world.
Eternal by Rebecca Royce – The dragons are the bad guys in this one. The dragons are winning the war against the werewolves. Humans have long abandoned the planet. I adore Dougal & Cait. Reading this put the first book Forward on my TBR shelf. You can’t go wrong with a Rebecca Royce story.
Hell’s Playground by Cara Carnes – Wow! This story blew me away! Incredible world building and a fantastic second chance romance.
Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson – What is a girl to do for love when she is the Alpha bitch of her pack? She can’t make time with her subordinates. When a rogue wolf comes to town and she doesn’t kick him to the curb right away there might be a chance for romance. Too bad there is a paranormal creature out to steal her and her packs wolves. With the help of her friends maybe she will get to keep her wolf and the rogue too. This was a truly fun story. I will be checking out the rest of the Odd series books.

Under a Wolf Moon is a bargain at whatever price. There isn’t a bad story in the book.

Hell's Playground The rending-Cara Carnes-5 stars

Another very intresting story!!!
Besides some times that i found the story hard to follow i have to say that it was really awesome.
A way different reality over packs and the world as we know it.
The story captures you from the first page till the last.
I found very refreshing that the author was focus on the story and the characters and the evens rather on the sex.
Very refreshing and something you want to read more of.

Odd wolves The odd series-Virginia Nelson-5 stars

Another wonderful story to read!
Alpha wolf Dara is in some deep problem when something starts to attack her and her pack.
Lynkwood is a rogue wolf tresspassing her land but there to stay
Can they work out all the problems between them and defeat the evil that lurks in the shadows?

A wonderful story with a female alpha and a submissive male wolf (finally)
Characters were beautifully written and the story was intresting enough with lots of twists and turns that will captivate you!

Loved they way the author writes .

This was an interesting and varied take on werewolves and other paranormals. While I didn't find every story to my liking (and many proof errors), this was an entertaining collection of stories. For the price (0.99) it was a good bargain and I found an author I'll want to follow.

Under a Wolf Moon Anthology
ARC given for honest review.

Wolf Next Door by Heather Long 4 - 76
When Claire Webster was five years old Tyler Buckley, the wolf next door, told her he was her mate and then ordered her not to play with one of her friends. Butting heads throughout their childhood, her choice to leave Willow Bend tore them apart. Eight years later, she sends a request to the new Alpha-she wants to come home, and when he grants it, she’s both relieved and terrified. The first person she runs into is the last one who ever wants to see her again.

My Thoughts:
The Wolves of Willow Bend series is the first series I have read by Heather Long.
I am crazy about paranormal series, so I fell into the series very easily.
Wolf Next Door is Tyler Buckley and Clair Webster's story.
Kind of like the "girl next door" only with a wolfie side, of course, Tyler has a wolfie side too.
I guess bad choices aren't limited to just humans. Shifters make their fair share too.
They say that breaking up is hard to do....Well, making up can be just as hard. Takes a strong person/wolf to admit to having weakness's.
Wolf Next Door was a very enjoyable read. I always look forward to more from Heather Long and Willow Bend.

Eternal by Rebecca Royce 156-231
Dougal Owens has served on the front line of The Dragon Wars for sixteen years. The last thing this Alpha werewolf expects is his mate to drop in with a plan to end the war. Together, they will battle to save the Wolves or die trying.

My Thoughts:
While reading this story I heard the echo of my mother's and grandmother's voices telling me stories about WWII. How things were for the women who had to pick up and carry on.
Dougal, his brothers and all males over 18 have to face horrible enemies. Some make it back, but so many others are lost. War, any kind of war takes it toll...on everyone. It changes a person....sometimes in more ways then one.
Caitlyn and her sisters have struggled to survive, like a lot of others. Some go off to other places hoping to find jobs or other means of survival. Caitlyn works in the labs that are trying to figure out how to turn the tides in their favor.....the werewolves favor. Because, as of right now....the Dragons are winning.
I fall so easily into the worlds that Rebecca Royce writes about. She is so descriptive. My son had to actually come over and shake me to get my attention, as I was so drawn in.
This one made me laugh some, cry some and worry a lot. I love it when I get sucked in to a story.

Wolf Next Door by Heather Long - This was a really good story. The two characters finding love after losing it was amazing. I really liked the growth that both characters went through, especially Claire since she didn't let her hard experiences turn her bitter. Tyler showed so much maturity and growth it was so wonderful! I liked the glimpses we got of the brother too, I can see reading more on this.
Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde - Well what can I say, Ms. DeWylde has done it again! Every time I read one of the the first books in a series by her I'm hooked! The characters are fascinating, wonderful and so dang entertaining that it makes you want more, more, more!!!! I can't wait to read further into this series, it promises to be as amazing as all of her other works.
Eternal by Rebecca Royce - This one threw me, I had a really hard time getting through. The time jumps were really too much in my opinion. They made it hard to keep up with what was going on and to stay interested in the characters. Then throwing in the ending that was there, it just didn't fit and for me it just confirmed that I'm unfortunately not very interested in continuing the series.
Hell's Playground by Cara Carnes - Wow! Ok, I admit, it took me a bit to really get into the story but once I was hooked I was completely and totally hooked!! I believe this is part of a series but to be honest, it worked just fine as a stand alone, although I really want to keep going with the series.
Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson - This was a good story, it had a lot going on though and I was left with a lot of questions even though I'm not sure that I want to read more in the series, it's going to definitely go on my "Maybe More" list. The characters were good and interesting but I found myself more interested in what was going on with the side characters than the main characters and that's really unusual for me. The side characters seemed to have more depth, more mystery so I might just have to read more on this.

Overall this was a really good anthology. Anthology's are like a two-sided sword. On one side you get to read authors that you've never read before or stories by authors that you have read that you've never read before but on the other side, sometimes those stories just don't grab you so you end up reviewing something lower than you would really want to and that can be a real bummer.

All in all I would recommend this anthology to anyone looking for either some new shifter series or new authors to become interested in.

*I received this ARC from the author for a honest review*

Under a Wolf Moon

After reading all 5 stories I've got to say I enjoyed reading them all. All different in various ways and I enjoyed some more than others. But never the less they were all enjoyable reads.

Wolf Next Door -Heather Long
This book was awesome. I loved it from start to finish, it was interesting and exciting. It had a great storyline and strong characters Ty and Claire had a complicated relationship and even after all those years apart they still had such a great chemistry, it was fierce to begin with but then it became warm and then explosive. It came across perfectly. It also had loads of warmth, humor and a few tears. I loved it and it is definitely worth the read. I highly recommend it!

Princess of the Park -Saranna DeWylde
Really enjoyable. I loved the characters they were so entertaining. This book had a bit of everything. It is full of energy, it has good movement and lots of detail. Worth the read.

Eternal -Rebecca Royce
This was quiet an unusual take on shifters for me, but good unusual not bad unusual. The author brought out a new world where Dragons rule and werewolves live in groups and have to literally fight to live, very imaginative. The characters were engaging and strong and drew you in. The storyline was gripping and it had lots of emotion running through its pages it had humor, excitement, pain and heat. Very enjoyable and I definitely recommend it.

Hell's Playground -Cara Carnes
Another interesting take on the shifter world. I found it a bit hard to follow at times but it I still loved the storyline, had strong characters and it was different, but still really loved it.

Odd Wolf -Virginia Nelson
I did really enjoy this book. I loved the characters and the storyline, it was fun and exciting but I have to say I do like the male to be the dominant alpha. But still saying that it was very enjoyable.

Under a Wolf Moon is a compilation of stories by five terrific writers. I had some general issues with the overall package but over looking those I enjoyed delving into the worlds.

The Wolf Next Door by Heather Long 3.5 stars

Enjoyed this story a lot. I haven't read too many shifter stories were the mates are almost equal in their dominance. Loved that new to me twist.
The one thing I felt cheated on was the background on A.J. I suppose I'll have to look for the series now. :-)

Princess of the Pack by Saranna DeWylde 3.5 stars

The story was another take on an alpha female. I'm not sure if it's because I read a lot or because I write but I knew the one twist from the word go. The one at the end I didn't predict and was a welcomed new addition to the wolf shifter genre.

Eternal by Rebecca Royce 4 stars

I loved diving into this world of dragons warring with wolves. Author minds fascinate me each time a discover one who puts a unique twist on well established tropes. Excellent story, I look forward to the rest of the series.

Hell's Playground by Cara Carnes 3.5 stars

I enjoyed the story, the concept of the world, but the intro before chapter one left me confused. For me, it told me a lot of stuff I didn't really need to know and prevented me from settling into the story until chapter two.

Odd Wolf by Virginia Nelson 4 stars

Another strong Alpha Female, this one as pack leader. This take was truly fresh for me and I enjoyed being a part of this wolf pack for a time.

The book as a whole gets 4 stars.

Book 1. Oh how I loved this. Mistakes made in childhood, causing a backlash that would last years. The love of a mate to finially see it through.

Book 2. This one was a little harder to get into. It was very good though, just a little confusing at the beginning.

Book 3. A very different take on shifters. Wolves and dragon in a very long war. A dragon whisperer. A good story.

Book 4. Wow a kind of dystopian, were book. Very different, and I loved it. This is one I will look for more from.

Book 5. A submissive rogue and a female alpha. What fun can we have here? The only question is what lurked in the darkness.

This book set was worth 10X's what I paid. Well worth the time and $$.

The three stars is for the whole of all five books. The only story worth reading is Heather Long's story. All the other stories were not worth reading. To many holes in the other four stories. Will not be reading the other authors in this book series.
